Named for Amanda's grandad Dutchy whose favorite dessert was a piece of apple pie with sharp cheddar cheese on top. Our apple pie is the quintessential apple pie packed full of Granny Smith apples with a hint of cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. Not too sweet! Baked in our signature Tiny Pies Crust.

September 2024Cute little shop with excellent service. But there is one glaring issue about this place - the pricing. $10+ for a chicken pot pie is ridiculous. $5+ for a tiny pie is also ridiculous. If there was something uniquely mind blowing about this place or the food MAYBE the current pricing could be justified. But there's not. Still, if you're curious and unconcerned about pricing, give this place a try.Chicken Pot Pie:This is the best I've ever had. 10/10 absolutely perfect . Well balanced savory delight with fantastic crust-to-filling ratio. Definitely recommend if you love chicken pot pies. Pumpkin Chai:Meh. Just meh. Mid at best. Nothing special here. Indistinguishable from something cheap and store bought. Consider adding a texture contrast. 4/10Cherry Pie:Cherries are definitely the star. Sweet, but not too sugary. Combined with the crust = a perfect bite. Solid effort and tasty choice. Definitely recommend. 7/10

Charming and delicious....a gem of a small business the is all Austin and really quite special. So delicious. Like seriously. The crusts are handmade, you can tell and you can taste it. The crusts are not overwhelming to the pie filling flavor either. The pie flavors we enjoyed were Pecan and Key Lime. The pecan was excellent, like the kind of pecan excellence that a good southern woman would know how to properly make in her kitchen. Abundant in pecans for a tiny pie and the perfect sweetness of the goo holding it together. And the Key Lime....it is the high end meringue taste and texture you would expect if you were at a 5 star establishment parked in Key West itself. Absolutely incredible. We sat in store and enjoyed a tiny taste of our tiny pies for we wanted to dive in. They have some easy seating and a clean bathroom. A good spot to take a little pie break, rest your feet and enjoy. I could have this completely wrong, but I think the guy working today is Octavious, but regardless of his name, he is welcoming and upbeat and funny in a way that a guy sitting all day behind a pie counter might be. Outstanding. Big win for us in these Tiny Pies. If we ever return to Austin, this place might be our first stop. We love you Tiny Pies.

I've been to the Burnet location several times over my last decade living in Austin. I love the variety, and the size of the pies--you get to try so many flavors and each pie is perfect individual portion. While it is on the pricier side, I do think of it as a treat when I am in the area. I also love that they introduced savory pies! They also have frozen take and bake pies. So far my favorites are coconut cream and key lime. Strawberry rhubarb is a just when they have it. Their Dutch apple is loaded with apples and cinnamon. Parking at this location is easy with a retail parking g lot attached to the store front.

I love this place! You must come here if you are visiting Austin. Yes, the pies are a little pricey - but they are SO DAMN GOOD! My favorite flavors are the coconut and Texas pecan ones. We usually get stuff from here when we want to celebrate something like a birthday. It's more of a takeout place, I don't think I've really ever eaten there. I do not think they have any vegan options which is a bummer but they do have many vegetarian options!

Attended corporate meetings in Austin and our office treated us to Tiny Pies as an afternoon treat ... and what a great treat! I tried both the pecan and apple pies (half of each ... I didn't go full glutton), and each was delicious, though if I had to choose one the apple would be the winner.

I can't 100% recommend this place because I felt like I was given a lot of false advertising about their pecan pie. If you look online it claims it's supposed to be one of the best in Texas, but when we got it there wasn't any filling and it was just some flavored pecans covered in a gooey substance inside a small pie. After my wife and I tried that, we wanted to try one more to see if possibly something else was better, and yes, their coconut cream pie was amazing. Only other thing is that their prices are what you would pay for a regular sized slice, so it's better if you just get that from anywhere else instead and save some money.

Sub-par. We ate there and got 3 items total. Started with their empanada and their "famous award winning" pecan pie..... there was nothing award winning about what we ate. It was, quite LITERALLY, crust and plain pecans. There was NO pie filling what so EVER. It was so bland. Literally just ate crust and loose pecans....... Definitely not worth the money. To make up for that bad experience, we got the coconut cream pie. That one actually had filling and was much better. The empanada was also quite delish. All in all though, my husband and I weren't super impressed. Especially the size of the "pie" for the price.
