While making reservations for my stay in Drippimg Springs, I asked about a good dinner spot with vegetarian options. I was told Tillie's, and I promptly made a reservation. I'm so glad I did.We arrived early, and they quickly sat us. I loved walking through the doors into the beautiful space. The building is spectacular. We had a wonderful waitress who paced out the meal and gave us time to eat and catch up. We ordered a nice bottle of Willamette pinot noir, and started out with the Brussels sprouts and the focaccia. Both were delicious. Loved the ricotta and the little mixers that came with the bread. My friend had the roasted cauliflower and I had the roast chicken. Both of us were actually silent while eating because it was so good. The chicken was cooked perfect. We shared the chocolate dessert and rolled out. So very happy. I'm telling everyone to go here.

I really wanted to like this place as my father in law knows the personal history of Whit Hanks as well as the development of Camp Lucy and Tillie's. However, as beautiful as this place is, it missed the mark in so many areas and was not worth the 40 minute drive from downtown Austin. When we arrived for our reservation at 5:30 on a Sunday, there were only 3 other tables that were occupied. It was very slow and very quiet which does not make sense that it took us almost 1 & 1/2 hours to receive our main courses. Within 15-20 minutes of being seated, we ordered a bottle of wine followed by the focaccia and the winter greek salad. The focaccia was cold and the salad was bland with no seasoning and soaked in oil. We placed our main courses of the duck, crispy chicken breast and the cumin crusted cauliflower. About 10 minutes after placing our order, I realized I forgot to include the crispy potatoes. 20 minutes later, the crispy potatoes arrived and we were confused because it's a shareable side and for some strange reason, our waiter, Pierce, put the order in ahead of our meal. Nonetheless, we ate them and they were a lot better than the previous bites. We received not a single word or update and really, not even a check in from Pierce and were left to ask other waiters about the status of our meal. We then place an order for a second bottle of wine and halfway through it, we received our lukewarm main courses. There was nothing "crispy" about the chicken breast, the duck was a bit too chewy and the cauliflower had a huge inedible core. We were not pleased, but forged ahead with the nostalgia dessert and that was the best part of the meal. For the price tag of $415, there are better places I can think of to spend that kind of money.

I wished I lived closer for Tillie's amazing brunch!it is a bit far but the drive isn't too bad from Austin. The restaurant is in the beautiful Camp Lucy. The interior decor is like no other restaurant that I have been to.The brunch was delicious we made a mistake of ordering the cinnamon roll as a starter since it was listed as one. We felt like we're adults and can have dessert first if we wanted to! The issue is it's massive and will fill you up. For the entree we got the seafood Benedict and brisket hash both yummy but the hash was slightly better. The Benedict is more of a croquette rather than a traditional English muffin. The service was great and appreciate the small gesture to celebrate my wife's bday!

Beautiful location and unique ambiance define the dining experience here. The dining area looks like it was build off the structure of a temple- maybe relocated like the church at Camp Lucy? Ample parking, and lovely service.Food was good! We ordered the Halibut Seafood Benedict, Brisket Hash, and a cinnamon roll. Everything we tried exceeded expectations- highly recommend all three dishes.

The reviews speak for themselves. Zoe and Grace were a perfect service duo. Great stories about the history of the building... a historical town hall imported from Vietnam, doors from India and a chandelier from the 15th century imported from Europe. Decorated with antiquities it felt like dinner in a museum. Starters were a good start (Burrata needed more beets-but delicious)! Entrees were absolutely delicious. Halibut and Pork Chop (recommended by server) hit it out of the park. Hard to choose a dessert. Come for the scenery, and amazing architecture, come back for the culinary arts.

I went this past Sunday to Tillie's and my experience was a mix of highs and lows. The omelette I ordered was quite tasty, with a fluffy texture and a delightful combination of fresh ingredients. Unfortunately, the fried chicken sandwich fell short in the flavor department, lacking the seasoning and punch I was hoping for. On a positive note, the interior of the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous. The decor is stylish and inviting, with a perfect amount of classic elements. The ambiance created a pleasant dining atmosphere that I thoroughly enjoyed. Overall, while the food had its ups and downs, the beautiful setting made for a memorable visit.

Absolutely beautifully designed restaurant! Our server was knowledgeable and friendly. He explained that the decor was internationally inspired. The restaurant itself is designed after a Vietnamese temple and the doors are from India. So cool!We stopped in for afternoon tea, and loved our experience. Our favorite item on the high tea menu were the cucumber cream cheese puffs. The sweet treats were also an absolute delight! Good variety of teas on the menu, and we were able to sample a couple as each person can order a pot of tea. Expensive but worth it for the ambience and experience! Make sure to walk around the gorgeous grounds after enjoying your time at Tillies!

The food was outstanding! The crisp baby romaine with green goddess dressing was the best I've ever had and it was so crisp and fresh. I followed that with Ranchers Chicken which was such a tender piece of chicken topped with salsa verde and chickpea stew. For dessert, I had the maple syrup crème brûlée and it did not disappoint! Every bite of every dish had incredible flavors. As for the service, I sat at the bar and the staff was so attentive, professional and friendly. The ambiance was spectacular! The architecture and design of Tillies made it such a unique experience!Front hostess area needs work...they were a bit disorganized. That is a nice place...we shouldn't have to repeat our last names. Then a second hostess appeared and the name process started all over again.

First and foremost, this restaurant is stunning, set in a beautiful resort out in the hill country. I came here for dinner with some friends on a busy Saturday night and was very appreciative that the staff was able to accommodate us, even after we showed up late.We sat at the bar, where I took in the aesthetics of the religious elements, which were mesmerizing, even though I'm not particularly religious. Now, let's talk about the food. I opted for the ranger chicken, served with chickpeas over a salsa verde sauce. While it was good, it wasn't mind-blowing to me. My friend ordered the short ribs, and after tasting them, I thought they were much better. For dessert, we tried both the crème brûlée and the olive oil cake served with ice cream. Both wedelicious and not overly sweet, which I personally enjoyed.I noticed they also serve brunch and afternoon tea, so if I happen to be in the area again, I would definitely stop in to experience a different dining option.
