The Vista On Seward Hill

We recently had our wedding at VOSH and we were delighted and thrilled with how the day went! Sidonee & her husband were wonderful and helped me through the millions of questions I had for the big day. They were extremely accommodating and flexible with any changes we had. It was a beautiful space and I cannot wait to come back on our 5 year anniversary! :)

Very professional friendly staff. Great attention to details it seems as though they are leading the way in accommodating plans. You want something, they've got it, and most often it is covered by your initial price. I had an easy time navigating the venue, and enjoying the entire event.

VOSH was an amazing venue for my wedding on Sep.14.2019Sidonee & Larry were fantastic, very understanding and helpful when there were questions and doubts.It is a gorgeous venue, I fell in love with every single part of it.Anthony the DJ was going above and beyond for what he was asked to do.Also for the ones that want to pick a caterer from the list must pick Vaqueros. It is a must. Received numerous compliments from the guests that the venue looked amazing and I definitely have to agree!Thank you so much for everything!

The vista is the perfect place for a magical wedding night! We went with a Thursday wedding and it was a very reasonable weekday price. The location is perfect, just off of 360 and Bee Caves. Sidonee and Larry are what really makes this place shine, they truly care about providing excellent customer service and a memorable experience and it shows.This is one of the most beautiful venues which is why we picked it of course. There is as soon as you walk in a lovely little gazebo where you can place your welcome sign. You walk down a beautiful path towards where the ceremony area is, they do have a rain option as well. There is gorgeous landscaping all around you and it feels as if you stepped into another world, they are constantly upgrading and improving here.I love that the flow of the place isn't in one room. You have a separate dining area, and then an outdoor courtyard with fire pit tables and an outdoor bar. Then you have a breezeway with benches and plenty of seating to take you into the dance floor. There is also another great bar here with ample space...the large marble welcome table is where we had our mini dessert bar. There is a small nook where we had our photo booth, it was perfect for that. Best of all, there is a secret garden area! After the ceremony and photos, when everyone is eating, you get spirited away to enjoy some alone time and you get to BREATHE and take a few bites of food and sip on some cocktails and enjoy one another in newly married bliss. All of the lighting was wonderful, they include a color theme and also paper lanterns and if you have a screen of your monogram then they have a spotlight for the dance floor.The entire place is wired for sound and they have a microphone to use during the ceremony. They also have a projector where you can show a picture slideshow.They also include all of the tables and chairs, you must provide the linens. But this is a great package deal, they also throw in the DJ...you just have to be very specific with him what type of music you want to play but there is a website that you can use in order to list out all of your wants and needs. We also opted to get an extra hour because the fun kept going there, literally everyone said we had the most fun wedding in the most gorgeous setting. I have zero regrets on my choice of venue, I am so glad that Sidonee and Larry made our special day truly amazing by having us over in their little slice of heaven (their house is also located on the property but it is tucked away in the back).

I like that it's called The Vista because it doesn't have much of a view of anything. The place is surrounded by trees. The parking situation is a major clusterfuck so get to the venue early or if you're a musician make arrangements with the wedding manager. There are a few parking spots on the actual hill and at the bottom of the hill, but you will have to walk down this hill in pitch darkness when the party's all over. I had to use my phone's LED so I could see where the hell I was going. Other than that, the venue is pretty, the MC is a little annoying, but he's nice. Good spot for a small wedding.

Sidonee and Larry at the Vista go above and beyond to make your event special. We just used the venue for a retirement party and it was just perfect. The grounds are exceptionally beautiful, the lighting and fire tables add to the ambiance outdoors. The two separate gathering spaces allowed us to have appetizers and drinks before dinner in one space, then walk over to the dining room for dinner...kept things interesting. Anthony, who handles A/V and other details, was super attentive, had the perfect music mix for our event (he has EVERYTHING!) and even took the time to turn our ordinary slide show into a movie before the event began...it was amazing! From start to finish, they think of everything...and MORE! I highly recommend The Vista on Seward for any type of event...big or small. It is truly an amazing, magical place!

I'm a wedding fiddler and I recently played my cousin's ceremony there. I have to say the grounds are absolutely beautiful. You can not take a bad picture there. Anthony, the manager, is an absolute rockstar! He could not be a nicer person. He had everything in hand and under control. The man cheerfully strove to make sure every detail came off perfect. I can tell you the bride and her mother were ecstatic. If you want a guaranteed perfect wedding, this is your place.

We got engaged a few months after moving from Austin to Portland, OR - so we decided that getting married in Austin was the best choice. I was stressed about having to plan a wedding from halfway across the country, but after finding this venue and calling and speaking with Sidonee over the phone, I was put at ease! I felt so comfortable speaking with her we booked the venue without seeing it in person. Our first trip to Austin we went by the venue for a tour and I was in LOVE. The photos are beautiful but there's nothing like seeing it in person! After meeting with the DJ, Anthony, I knew everything was going to go smoothly. He runs the show perfectly and on the day of our wedding I didn't worry about a thing! This venue was absolutely magical, everyone we encountered that worked with the venue was helpful and friendly - I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone!

Your Secret Garden for your Special DayThe Vista on Seward Hill should be your top choice for your wedding day or special occasion. My husband and I we're just married at The Vista this past month. We looked at a lot of venues but once we made the drive up the scenic driveway, we knew we had arrived at a very special place. The landscaping is gorgeous and great for photos if you are considering doing an outside wedding. The inside is also gracefully decorated if you are looking to do your ceremony indoors.The team at Vista on Seward Hill are amazing!! Sidonee and Larry are the nicest people you will ever meet! They make your feel like family and welcome all with open arms. On my wedding day, it rained right up to the start of the ceremony, and the staff and our MC, Anthony orchestrated moving our guests from inside to outside smoothly and quickly! Also, another thing to think about on your wedding day is securing a DJ or a band. One of the best-selling points about booking with VOSH is the amazing coordinator/DJ that comes with the venue, Mr. Anthony Fernandez. He ran the whole show; at our dress rehearsal and on our wedding day. Our guests were very impressed by how smooth and professional Anthony handled everything. Great location, beautiful aesthetics. Condition exceeded our expectations (garden alive and well despite the heat wave). Owners were pleasant and very reasonable.
