I dined at The Scarbrough for brunch during my stay in Austin. It was just a short, pleasant walk from my hotel. The Scarbrough is located inside the Scarbrough Building lobby. They specialize in crepes. They have a handful of small tables as well as couch seating. You place your order at the counter then the staff brings it to you once it's ready. I ordered my go-to drink, an oat milk latte with honey and cinnamon as well as their Lox n' found croiffin. The latte was great. The Lox n' found croiffin comes with a toasted croissant roll, smoked salmon, ricotta, avocado, arugula, capers, pickled onions and dill. I added an egg for an additional charge of $2. This was a beautiful and tasty sandwich! It was very filling, too. I highly recommend checking out this unique spot!

We were downtown on a random Saturday morning and thought why not get brunch and we were nearish to this spot. It's small and unassuming but decorated very smartly for the space. Service was friendly and fast - order at the counter, sit and be served. We ordered an americano and a latte - both arrived hot and were very large. We split the focaccia avocado toast. The construction left a lot to be desired - halved cherry tomatoes and slices of avocado meant that these items just fell out of the sandwich when trying to eat them. Smashing the avo and having slices of tomatoes would fix that issue. Overall though, the sammy was delicious. Whatever spread they had on it was salty and yummy and the egg was cooked perfectly with a good yolk spill. The two hot drinks and sandwich came to $30 which is on point for a downtown spot. The coffees were really large so that felt like a value for price point.Overall, a cute spot with a nice vibe and good bites.

Hidden gem. Totally non-descript exterior, in the lobby of what appears to be a low key art deco office building. The Omega crepe is delicious and fresh. The affogato is delicious. And everyone there is super nice. I give it 5 stars relative to other lunch joints in the area. I do not recommend ordering their crepes to go. They lose the crispness from the moisture in the to-go packaging.

This is an interesting find! It's 'order at the counter' and sit in this interesting old lobby that they've turned into a seating area. The food and cocktail was enjoyable. I'd come back again if in town!

The food is delicious, and the setting is unique, but the service is a bit slow. The restaurant is located in the lobby of the Scarbrough Building. It's a small space, with only around eight tables and a tiny kitchen behind the counter. It's a bit hard to locate from outside. There's no big sign on the window indicating the restaurant's name, just a plastic A-frame sign outside the building's doors. When I got there, four of the eight tables were empty but the dirty dishes had not yet been cleared. It took close to 10 minutes for the tables to be bused.Because the kitchen is so small, I'd recommend going up to the counter to order as soon as you get there. I believe you can also place your order online using the QR code on the table, but I didn't try that method. I ordered the lox n found, a toasted croissant roll with smoked salmon, avocado, dill ricotta, arugula, onion, and capers. The menu says it also comes with a side of roasted potatoes, but mine didn't come with that. The sandwich was delicious and filling, so I definitely didn't need them, but I do feel like I didn't get what I paid for.

I was in Austin for ACL and we wanted a quick breakfast close to our hotel. We stopped here 2 mornings in a row because it was so good. The salty dulce de leche latte is so delicious. I got the avocado toast both days because it was so good. If I ever end up back in Austin I will definitely be going again. We loved sitting outside and eating in downtown, but there were seats inside as well. The workers were so nice and recognized us the next morning and remembered our order.

Elegant eats with extensive crepe options and special brunch items.I really wanted to order the shakshuka but they were out when we're there around 12pm. got the egg benedict with brisket instead and wow, what a special dish! The portion is managable and the side potatoes that come with it was *chefs kiss*. The beer cheddar benedict sauce was unique and very tasty. Bf got the steak and egg crepe and like it. Cappuccino looks super smooth and my orange juice was freshly squeezed, which is super rare these days. The only reason why I'm docking a star is there were some flies and space feels like it could be cleaner, the seats look quite old and used even though nothing was malfunctioning.

The food was good. I had a croissant egg/bacon sandwich and an Americano coffee. Quality was really good and they managed to make the croissant into a sandwich type of bread. It was more crispy than soft pillowy of a breakfast sandwich because of the way the croissant was made. This is a cute cafe in downtown Austin in a lobby area of a building. The service was good even though you had to order at th counter and they brought the food to you. Coffee was good. We went here because it was walkable from our hotel. They also had savory and sweet crepes. I would return again when I'm in the area.
