Possibly the best cocktails I've ever had? Definitely the best cocktail menu I've ever seen. The vibes are immaculate, love the lighting and the way they've organized the space (dividers between the tables is kind of cool - like the privacy). The service is impeccable, the bartenders are soo knowledgeable and fun to talk to. Absolutely loved the Butterbean and Buck to the Future!) Will bring everyone I know here and will be making my way through this cocktail menu whenever possible (they have like over a hundred cocktails or something idk but every single one I tried so far has been incredible - especially the house creations!!)Edit: favorite cocktails - Saturn, Glitter & Marigold but with alcohol (ask them to surprise u), Butter bean, Buck to the future, the pharaoh's dance, black pearlnot for me - the poet's muse (not a fan of matcha)

This establishment is an absolute gem, ideal for a romantic date night or an evening out with friends. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between classy and inviting, making it a standout spot downtown. The drink selection is not only extensive but also thoughtfully curated, offering something for every palate, whether you prefer classic cocktails, fine wines, or unique craft beers. The staff truly elevated the experience with their warmth, charisma, and attentiveness--they made every interaction feel special and engaging. The level of service was exceptional, with a seamless balance of professionalism and genuine hospitality. Despite the high-quality experience, the prices were refreshingly reasonable, adding even more value to the visit. If you're downtown, this is an absolute must-visit. It's a place that leaves a lasting impression and sets the bar high for both service and atmosphere.

SHAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT!I have reached the age where I have enough stuff and things, so experiences are gifts. When I was last in town I asked my brother when I came back for Christmas if we could go to the Roosevelt Room. I've heard amazing things about this place. But had never been. So being the amazing brother he is he made a reservation for the night after I arrived in Austin and we all went. First impressions walking inside we were asked immediately if we had a reservation. They play no games when it comes to reservations.... This place takes reservations weeks/months ahead of time especially for holiday weeks like this one. We could not get a reservation for Christmas Eve, so we came here the day before Christmas Eve! Honestly, once you are inside the atmosphere is so cool. Gives off a sexy kind of vibe too. We sat in a corner table and looked at their extremely long and thought out menu. It's on a QR code, because this menu would be just as long as a Cheesecake Factory menu if it was printed. All of the drinks are sectioned off into the time periods they originally were created in. So some drinks were made and became popular during prohibition, etc. We started off with a drink that isn't on the menu, called the Charlie Chaplin. It was a beautiful drink with apricot whiskey. The next drink I ordered was the Pink Squirrel with was a creamy and potent drink. Then the Bramble came next. This one was a gin based cocktail and it was so good. They explain that the RR's Bramble is a little different than others you might get. As they add the gin as a floater on top. But it was a beautiful and floral cocktail. Last but certainly not least, I ordered an espresso martini to cap off the evening. I wasn't the biggest fan of the espresso martini I've definitely had better. But to each their own. The best drink I had was the Pink Squirrel by far. But all of their drinks are good in their own way it just depends what type of liquor you like and are in the mood for. Overall, I loved my experience at the Roosevelt Room. The drinks are good, but expensive so be warned.

Incredible. Cocktails. That's all that really needs to be said. There's an extensive cocktail list which is very interestingly broken down by cocktail eras in history. It's also organized in an informative way with the top being less direct and the drinks becoming more spirit forward as you move down. Very cool to learn more about all these different classic cocktails. They also have their own selection of custom cocktails as well as some seasonal options they occasionally change.I tried two of the custom cocktails. The first was the black pearl, a mix of scotch and rum I found intriguing, some charcoal powder to darken the drink, and edible silver, never seen that before. The drink was put into a box with a smoked clove. Overall the whole experience was very cool with a phenomenal presentation. Down to the glass and ice cube, everything was well done. The drink was direct and a very unique flavor combination. The second drink I tried was Shinjiro's golden hour. The bartender described it as a love letter to Japan, and I wholeheartedly agree. One of the best cocktails I've ever had in my life. Every ingredient was so wonderfully balanced. The brown butter washed toki adds a mellow nuttiness at the start, the scotch then hits with a smokiness and woodiness that reminds you this is a whiskey cocktail, then the plum sweetness from the umeshu with a touch of sourness coating your tongue as the agave elevates the sweetness and viscosity every so slightly, the umeboshi hints at a touch of saltiness, bitters and amaro round out this sweetness so everything is in balance as the whiskey and plum linger on the palate. Words really don't do it justice, simply amazing.Cocktails are on the pricier side around 21 or 22 dollars but totally justified given the quality and amount of different and unique ingredients. Bartenders are knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, checking in and filling up water. It's a very long bar with booths behind it. Dim lighting with a moody vibe. Definitely a must stop in Austin!

I am a sucker for a good cocktail bar. I will seek them out when visiting other cities. We were in Austin for the weekend and had did our research ahead of time and found The Roosevelt Room. The amount of reviews and high ratings made this a no brainer stop. Reservations were made prior but our requested bar seating could not be accommodated. I like sitting at the bar when having drinks with one other person so we can watch and engage with the bartenders. First bummer of the night. We ended up getting seated in the middle of the establishment, near the entrance which seemed awkward to me. This place is dark and somewhat loud as well considering we had noise coming from all directions sitting in the middle. Our server seemed tired and uninterested, but still was knowledgeable and helpful. We didn't really get much attention after ordering. We were a little short on time as we had back to back reservations at several places so I wanted to make my one drink count. They have quite a few cocktails to choose from here. I do love how they do their menu. They have classic drinks, house specialties and then they have drinks categorized by eras. It was neat to see all the different drinks. Their online menu has pictures of everything. There was so many choices to choose from, so he suggested a drink called La Paisa. I didn't see it on the menu but it was a rum cocktail. It came served in a box which was odd and no where close to nicely presented like all the cocktails I saw around the bar. The drink itself was slightly a little too tart for my liking but drinkable. Overall, my expectations were set high for this place and it was a mediocre experience for me. I think I would consider coming back because the menu does look amazing but not prioritize it if I find other promising spots.

WTF? reservation needed?I knew this place was fancy as I'd been here on two different occasions several years ago but was not aware it was now reservation only. Place is still has that same cool vibe - darkly light with small bites to a long with your elixirs. Drinks are tasty but pricey but you do get your money's worth.

Came here on a Friday evening with a group of friends and the wait was around 45 minutes. We ended up being seated a little earlier in the upstairs area. The ambiance is dark and romantic and perfect for a date night or a girls' night out. It does get a bit loud in there so prepare to have to speak loudly in order to hear each other. There is a bar upstairs where you can order drinks from and they had a pretty good variety of cocktails and beers to choose from. The ingredients in the drinks were fresh and you can tell they don't add in a bunch of other 'fillers' in their drink because they all pack a punch! Overall, this is a swanky spot to check out if you're in the area.

Drinks were unique and flavorful. There are 20 pages of cocktails and small bites. I opted for the milk punch which came in a cute glass milk carton and my husband ordered the Black Pearl. Such a chill, chic, speakeasy vibe. Loved this spot and will definitely be back. Nina was our server and we will definitely request her again next time we visit.

Place was super chill, and the staff were extremely knowledgeable on the menu. The amount of drinks this place has on their menu is crazy (in a good way) and I will definitely try to come back when I'm back in Texas I got the rattlesnake it was delicious!!

Finally made it to Roosevelt Room after getting recommendations to go here for date night. I really liked the dark, swanky type feel and the decor. Their cocktail menu is extensive and a bit overwhelming but, fortunately, I had already narrowed it down before arriving. The meat and charcuterie board was awesome along with the reuben sandwich. I had the Boulevardier and Old Cuban. Both were delicious. All their cocktails come out looking as good as they taste. The only thing I didn't like was that it was actually louder in there than I expected. I was hoping for a more quiet date. All in all, I'll definitely be back!
