The Pit BBQ

Open til 8pm on Friday night. $34 gets you a rib dinner ($16), large beef brisket sandwich ($9), and 1/4 pound of moist brisket. The food is just alright. This definitely is not a spot I would take out of towners to. Thai was a "hey let's do bbq and we are right by a bbq joint" type of decision. They do have a drive thru, which is nice when driving around with kids. And the service was friendly.

UPDATE -- still love this place but something has changed I believe. I think the pit boss/manager is handing over the reigns. The quality of the que is still there, but the rub on the ribs is different..It tastes saltier (maybe garlic salt). I'm not saying you won't like it! But I've ordered them a few times and they're definitely the same new rub. Still a PIT BBQ FAN

First time trying The Pit. We walked in and the smell of BBQ hits you hard! Delightful. We ordered the brisket sandwich and the 2 meat plate (brisket/Ribs) Sides were beans, Mac n cheese, and potato salad. The food was so tasty and flavorful. The brisket had that Smokey flavor which was nice. The ribs were really good and juicy (fell off the bone) The Mac n cheese had the perfect consistency and flavor was great. The potato salad was ok not bad. The beans weren't my favorite. For our drink we got sweet tea and it was perfect! The service was good and we will definitely be back. So sad they aren't open on Sunday because we would've come back today!Unfortunately no pictures lol we kept eating

Kind people with passable bbq. It's not high end, wake up early and wait in line for hours kind of bbq. But it's a good friendly neighborhood bbq joint that you can rely on to offer you your bbq fix in a pinch. I can't give it 5 stars, because the bbq could certainly be improved. But it's still good food, y'all.

Had a chopped sandwich and peach cobbler. It was pretty good. I would like to try a few other items.

Good food, great service. I came in short handed with my son. They offered a water for him and carried our tray to the table for me (thank you!). It's nice knowing there's a local spot with good food and a good attitude towards littles.

i dont get why this place has bad reviews, it was all around good bbq! legit everything was incredibly tasty. yum yum!!moist brisket is so good, ribs are ok, dark meat chicken is fall off the bone good, mac n cheese yumi'll be back!

We ate most of the brisket tonight! 5 adults, 5 little kids (11-4) and everyone enjoyed the meat. Tender, moist: just superior meat! Took a big piece to a neighbor and they already called to say how good it was! I made sure to say I did NOT smoke it but The Pit BBQ did. Easiest piece of meat to serve I never spent one minute preparing! Found my big piece of meat cooking "partner"!!!

I came here today with Thing One for a bit of lunch. I ordered two items to include the brisket sandwich and the sausage sandwich. I ordered through the drive through as the location is not allowing customers into the establishment for dine in or purchase. I was really expecting a bit of flavor in this sandwiches. Unfortunately, the brisket nor sausage sandwich had any taste. Furthermore, my stomach became upset after eating the sausage sandwich. I really wanted to like this local spot, but I do not think I will be back.

Excellent pork ribs, brisket and potato salad and coleslaw. You should go today and try it, I guarantee you'll go back, love this place!
