The monument Café is a fantastic local café in the heart of Georgetown. It's goal is to be reminiscent of a roadside Café in the 20s and 40s and I think it hits the mark. From the moment you walk in to the restaurant, you feel like you have been transported back in time. It is a wonderful place to come and spend a little time. I really enjoy the atmosphere and vibe this place offers. The staff is friendly, interactive and professional. They are attentive, but not overly hovering around the table. They consistently provide Top Notch service and keep your coffee cup filled (bonus points). One of the things I love about this place is that their food is fresh and appears to be of top notch quality, and in many cases is farm to table..They do offer a full menu, but my go to is breakfast. Eggs over medium crisp, bacon, and toast or an occasional order of biscuits and gravy. The food is always fresh and full of flavor. Sometimes the wait can be a while , but it is worth the wait

This place is always bustling on the weekends, with frequent hour-long waits for a table. My in-laws love it, and clearly others do too, but it's not my favorite. Service is great, with very friendly and welcoming staff who pay close attention to dietary restrictions. The food is fine, but about on par with an IHOP. It's the kind of place where the seats and tables are always faintly sticky and you can carb up for a reasonable price. There aren't enough restrooms for the amount of visitors, so make sure to get in line with your kids before they hit "emergency" bladder level. If you're craving general breakfaat, it's a great local option, but I wouldn't put it on a must-visit list.

This is the comfort food diner (but better) I dream of when I'm at home in CA. It's fantastic! All kinds of breakfast favorites, including my one and only love, Eggs Benedict! It was delicious. They had a Mickey Mouse pancake for our little one. The service was excellent! We left a purse behind and didn't realize for 2 hours. They kept it safe for us. The whole place and vibe there feels great from the minute you walk in. I can't wait to go back!

This is a very iconic place in Georgetown. Such a homey feeling and the food is great. I've been coming here for over 10 years and will continue choosing this place just because. You just can't go wrong with any menu items. I've tried pretty much everything. The best is the great service!People here treat you with such a laid-back manner but at the same time with a great respect. The coffee is superb, and the pies oh-boy you gotta try one of those. If you're up in Georgetown, don't forget to check this gem out!

This is literally one of the best breakfast and brunch places I've ever tried!! The freshly squeezed orange juice and green juices just add to the experience. The food was phenomenal, and don't get me started on those delicious biscuits omgOur server looked tired (gets pretty busy) but was enthusiastic to recommend items on the menu and just super sweet!

One of my top places in Georgetown! They have a great variety on their menu and I always feel like I have serval options to pick from during brunch. Their GF buns are delicious and I love to get the hickory burger. They don't label menu items but it does state GF buns. All servers have been very knowledgeable so far and will volunteer what items they have which are safe! They have GF pie as well (chocolate with nutty crust I believe).

I stopped by Monument Cafe during the holiday season and found it to be crowded due to a nearby parade. The food was okay, but not particularly memorable. The restaurant does offer high chairs, but be prepared for a wait.

My family and I have been coming to the Monument Cafe for years, even when they were in their previous location on Austin Avenue, and we always have a wonderful experience with great food.Today was no different, even though we came on a rainy and cold Saturday around 1:00.The place was packed, but there were lots of people leaving as well, so we only waited about 30 minutes. Our waiter Cailey was friendly and efficient, and when we asked about the mimosas, she recommended the strawberry lemonade one, which neither of us has had before, so we decided to give it a try.My daughter and I both agreed that it was the best mimosa we had ever had.It was refreshing and not too sweet, and would be even better on a hot summer day.My daughter got the Eggs Florentine, which never disappoints with its creamy but not overpowering hollandise sauce and spinach, and I had the Monument salad with grilled chicken and a side of great northern beans. The salad with its house made maple pecan dressing is one of my favorites, and the beans were seasoned perfectly with ham.Another very satisfying brunch at the Monument, where we have NEVER had a sticky table, and have never waited more than 5 minutes for a private bathroom.Between the service and the delicious, carefully prepared dishes, we highly recommend one of Georgetown's gems for breakfast, brunch or lunch.
