The Library Bar

There are a lot of bars on 6th street and if you're not a local it's hard to know which are the best. We stopped in after the Usher concert on a Monday. This place had a good number of people who were dancing and having a good time. The DJ as great and the bartenders were lively and energetic. The drinks were on point. Overall I would visit again if in Austin, pretty good vibe compared to other bars we stopped in.

A lot of fun. Stopped in a couple nights. DJ both nights. Music was better the 2nd visit. Nice HH & beer selection. Bartenders were enjoyable. From good conversation to them dancing/ vibing. Landon was great. If I visit ATX again, this is definitely a stop.

Cute spot. We had two drinks here and ended up staying for an hour. There were games and a Photo Booth. Big establishment and well maintained.

The bar itself looked pretty cool inside with the "library theme" but my husband and I didn't like the vibe and drink prices were higher than many of the other bars on 6th street. The Dj that was there, wasn't very diverse and the crowd was a bit too young for us. I'd say it's 25 and younger there-- at least it was on a Thursday night.

I should preface by saying we came at 7:30 and it was nearly empty but there was a good live artist on Saturday night. It's one of the few places that had champagne and it was $2.50! What?! And it' was good!! We also played games upstairs which were pricey but fun. Bartender was friendly too.Overall, great experience!

Visiting from CA, decided to check out bars at dirty sixth with my gf. We were looking for a hip hop bar and came across the library bar. It was so spacious and there were two stories! Music was kind of off the whole night lol it was random and didn't make sense, but we stayed during the hip hop and left when a different genre came on. There were pool tables upstairs along with some random games you can pay to play. Overall it seemed like one of the more poppin bars

Never been here and came during a Christmas bar crawl and I was really impressed w the decor and layout and of course the music! It is a two story option bar, more seating upstairs for a more relaxed and lounge feel, downstairs was much more rowdy and close quarters and standing room. Upstairs there are a few games in the back corner and another bar to aid in refills. Overall I'd love to come back and check it out. I was happy to have it on the bar crawl list and able to experience a new place.

Stopped here for a bachelorette party and this creepy older man was filming my group of 8 Asian females for about a minute without moving his camera. The bartenders told us there was no security to step in, and we should confront the creepy man ourselves and tell him to stop which... didn't work and felt really unsafe. This place made us feel uncomfortable so I would not recommend this bar for women

This is a large bar located on 6th street. It's two stories and full of games like corn hole, shuffle board, and board games all around. There's instagramable spots all around to take selfies with your friends. We went during the week so it wasn't very busy or difficult to get a drink from the bar. The drinks were strong and the bartenders were incredibly friendly! A fun spot to grab a few drinks on a night out.

Reposting with adherence to guidelines because Yelp took down my previous post:Bartender with man-bun (Never got name) acted and smelled intoxicated. Continuously acted aggressively towards our group and falsely accused a member of our group of throwing a can behind the bar. Bouncer eventually came in and started to aggressively yell, push, and jerk at members of my party completely unwarranted. Made a remark as I was leaving the bar to the bartender about his haircut which enraged him enough to leave his position at the bar and confront me to my face before I completely ignored him and walked out. Completely deranged not to mention grossly unprofessional, clearly this individual has major problems. This was a couple years ago but yelp notified me that my original post was deleted due to some unsavory language about the bartender. This incident was so bad that it compelled me to re-write the review just so people know what kind of business this is, albeit under the guidelines of Yelp.
