They were open"So I think we were the only customers!I Just disappointed Used to go to the Green Mesquite in the 1900s on Barton Springs Road !Just cleanliness !Had a guest from out of town !

My husband and I order from here all the time - the food is always great. We LOVE the cornbread and the low carb jambalaya is DELICIOUS!! We have also done the catering and it was great, everyone loved the food.

Liz is the best server in Austin! I will be back because of her! Food was pretty good. I highly recommend the turkey!

It's a bbq thang . Wanted to try their 3 meat plate and smoked wings. It doesn't disappoint cajun rice was tasty it's actually a good side

We went here to celebrate a birthday and the birthday girl loves TX bbq. They wanted to try a new spot so we came here but it probably wasn't a great idea because we were about to go to Terry Blacks and their bbq is on point. This place is ok. The food isn't bad, it just doesn't stand out. One thing people thought was pretty good was the smoked wings but thats about it. Its a good spot with good service. If you're in the area and want to try the wings I would suggest it.

Good stuff! Home cooking Texas style! C'mon and get some y'all. Friendly staff and this is where the locals eat.

The restaurant has a family appeal and service was nice. I was greeted upon entering the establishment. I ordered online which was easy to do. Only complaint I have is two of my side items were left out of the bag. Mac/cheese and green beans. I did not check my bag and took for granted thinking everything was in there. I got home and lo and behold no sides. I called the restaurant and spoke with a young lady who told me I could pick up the sides that night or the next day.. But did not offer to credit my card back. Anyway I still enjoyed the pinto beans, brisket and ribs.

Super great team, nice people who seem to enjoy working there. I think Alex is the manager, and he was very knowledgeable about cuisine. As for The bbq itself, yes, while not specifically unique, it was good for sure. The bbq sauce was almost on par with Stubbs in terms of flavor and unabashedly spicy. (A refreshing change from other places). Their side dishes are not really good. If I wasn't a stud chef, I'd be apt to downgrade the whole meal because the sides are just, well, greasy and frozen. If a bbq place has s deep fryer, and they all do, slice some onions, soak them in a bowl of buttermilk and beer, then dip them into a bowl of eggs, roll em in a bit of flour and corn flakes and fry them fresh! Onion Rings may seem unimportant...but get good ones, and you will go back for more. Ordinary rings take the 5-stars to a 4-star. Fries were greasy too. Take 'em out of the fryer and soak the excess grease out with a paper towel or slap em back in a conventional oven at 400 where they can quickly get a little crispier. I'll suggest this place however, with a grade of a B+ The prices are on the mid to high end but the staff notified us of specials too. Remember- when you get great service, tip at least 30%.

I am always in search for the perfect Chicken Fried Steak. Hands down the best I have ever had! We even had it delivered and all the food was hot and fresh. Great job !!!! Thank you GM
