The Gramercy

The older I get, the less inclined I am to go downtown for date nights. If this sounds relatable, you must check out The Gramercy in Lakeway. Swanky interiors, delicious cocktails, yummy bites, easy parking AND just minutes away from an HEB? This place has it all for the suburban party animal.Drinks are definitely the highlight here. Husband's favorite is the Boulevardier and mine is the Corpse Reviver BUT be warned, it is strong AF. Food is on the rich and heavier side, and a tad pricey (e.g., coconut shrimp was $18 for 5 pieces). Service is consistently great, and totally evident in the banter between staff and guests at the bar. They definitely have many regulars coming back over and over again. Cheers!

We really enjoyed our visit in this place we were looking for a nice place close to our resort and I'm glad we ended up here. Our server (Eric) was very attentive and had knowledge about our wine selections and our food. The food was 10/10. The vibe was interesting all the design in the wall very artsy we enjoyed it. It's a great place to catch up with friends and have a drink.

We've been here off and on since they opened and I think it's time for a review. We like this place but there's still a few things to polish to get 5 stars from me. Tonight we started with the coconut shrimp, which had the right amount of breading and was crispy and tender, not chewy. The sauce was a bit sweeter than I like but still good. The Burrata could use a pinch of salt and the sweet potato purée seemed out of place, but all in all I'd order again just ask them to leave it off. Hubby liked the side salad, though he left a lot of tomatoes behind. The star was the braised short rib. (Which we shared) It was "fall off the bone" tender and beautifully seasoned. Way too much mashed potato, but the right amount of carrots and olive gremolata. The only real disappointment was the Daiqueri. IMHO, a Daiqueri is a combo of white rum and Agricole rhum. Theirs is white only (and not a good white rum) so it lacked depth and interest. I had 2 - one using Havanna and one using Cruzan. Neither was worth ordering again. There are better inexpensive rims out there! (Flora de Cana for example). Just sayin'!On the upside, they wait staff is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. They also have a nice outdoor patio that is dog friendly, with heaters and fans! They are close to us, and continue to evolve in a positive direction. You should give them a try!

My wife and I made reservations at Gramercy for a date night and had a great experience. The ambiance was really cool and eclectic, the restaurant was busy, our server was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the brussel sprout salad, which we absolutely loved. The flavor was outstanding and they finished it off with shaved parmesan cheese. The main dishes, we had the classic burger w bacon and the waffle grilled cheese w marinara sauce. The marinara sauce was actually not our favorite. We thought they definitely could do a better job on a dipping sauce. Overall, our experience was great!

Wow a great spot. We swung by for one of the craft cocktails (old fashioned) and ended up staying for dinner after watching the incredible dishes come by. The shrimp and grits was the best I have ever had. Probably because the shrimp could not have been more perfectly prepared. The short rib was packed with incredible flavor. Give this place a shot if you are in the area. Drinks or food you simply cannot go wrong.

I've been coming here for at least 2 years now. I stumbled upon this place when I moved to the area and it's absolutely amazing. The vibe, people/service, drinks and food are great. My favorite appetizers are the chicken wings (Buffalo & BBQ) with their homemade ranch, Pork Belly Bites & the waffle grilled cheese(add the chicken & bacon). My favorite drink is the smoked old fashioned, they have so many options to choose from and you can't really go wrong if you like the ingredients, my girlfriend enjoys the lakeside! Some key Entrées we enjoy are Shrimp and Grits, Gramercy Burger, Works Salad & Crispy Salmon! Starting April 30, 2023 they will be open on Sundays for Brunch!! We were invited to the soft opening brunch and I must say what I had didn't disappoint at all!! You have to wait until you get your food in order to get your drink just due to the local laws. We ordered 2 mimosas one passion fruit and one original they were so well made! For food, I had the Gramlette (Gramercy Omelette) and it was really good and flavorful! It came with some nice southwest breakfast potatoes and a mixed greens salad with Balsamic vinaigrette. I also ordered the French Toast and it's not your traditional it was an actual French baguette with bananas, salted Carmel sauce and powdered sugar, and it didn't disappoint at all. I cleaned both of my plates lol. The Gramercy never lets me down, and I've brought so many people here and they always ask to come when their in town!

This is one of my favorite hidden gems! We are regulars to this restaurant. The owners and servers are very friendly! The ambiance is casual, chill, date night vibes. The decor is unique and I love it. I wish they could open another location near Austin/Domain area.Food: I love their apps: Buffalo and BBQ Wings, Pork Belly Bites, and Waffle Grilled Cheese with Bacon and Chicken. The entrees are great as well. I usually go for the Gramercy Burger or the Works Salad. I tried the braised Rib one time but it was too salty for me that particular day. Drinks: Their cocktail menu is fantastic too. The Lakeside is my favorite cocktail! If you love tequila and coconut you should try it! (1 will have you good for the night...but you know 2 won't hurt). Brunch: We were invited to the soft opening for their new Brunch menu. The brunch and drink menu had great choices to choose from. If you like mimosas these are fantastic! You have to order and receive your food first before getting your beverage. Food- I chose the Steak Benedict (medium well) and a side of pancakes. The pancakes were fluffy and pretty good. The Steak Benedict was not as flavorful as I thought and didn't come out to the temperature I requested but our waitress, Katie, came to the rescue. I was able to change it the the G Burger. The G burger is great and very flavorful. The Gramercy will not let you down! Definitely 5 starts worthy.

Excellant, major change! I love the new look with book shelves with interesting decor. I can't imagine how this hard step of changing a bar this much in a short amount of time. Actually I am spending more time here. The bar booms after 9 pm. That's where fun party people emerge. Great for singles and couples, very impressed how the party music been selected it's perfect! I will be coming regularly great bartenders and the attentive waitresses. You can't go wrong you will have a blast. Food is tasty and succulent, I highly recommend the steak and appetizers, burgers as well. Stays open till 1 AM. All positive energy here and regulars tell me how happy customers are, I cant tell you enough positive changes. Take a plunge and check it out. Mingle with a fun crowd and stays busy at night. Highly recommend this location parking easy, no problems. Owner manger gets AAAA+

Location and atmosphere are great. Good vibe inside the restaurant. Service was just right - greeted with a friendly host, server was on point, checked back on us often but not too much. Food was just OK. Wings were cold and the Shrimp & Grits, C-. Small shrimp were just sauteed, not really seasoned. Seemed more like shrimp from a frozen bag. The best Shrimp & Grits comes with Shrimp prawns, generously seasoned, maybe grilled (IMO). A few small tweaks to the menu and this place would be REALLY great.

I will never eat eggs Benedict any other way than "The Gramercy" way! Made with steak! The joy of my dining experience is an excellent dry martini. Nicholas made that happen with the greatest of ease! The ambience here is very warm and relaxing with beautiful live music playing in the background! Ya gotta go!
