I stopped by here for a quick drink before dinner. I had been to the location in New York and remembered loving it, so I wanted to show my boyfriend, and he absolutely loved it too! Although, he had a little unexpected situation (we'll leave it at that!), the drinks the bartender crafted were incredible! I ordered the Dew Diligence, and my boyfriend went with the Ruby Drift. Both drinks were expertly made, perfectly balanced, and honestly, some of the best cocktails I've had. Also, I really appreciate how they include pictures of the drinks on the menu, definitely a nice touch!

I love the decor of this bar! It is cozy. The service was helpful and gave great recommendations. I ordered the scotch egg and fish and chips along with the doctor's order cocktail. I haven't had a scotch egg before and it was pretty good! The fish and chips had a nice crispy batter and came with thick cut fries. I split this meal with a friend and it was a good amount of food. This is a nice little spot on 6th.They have an extensive cocktail menu, lots of interesting drinks I want to come back and try.

Loved this bar! My favorite spot I popped into on 6th. They are decked out for Christmas, absolutely love the decorations, really fun spot to hang out. It was pretty busy on a thursday weeknight, with standing room only. We put our name down and were able to get a table after about 20 minutes though. The cocktail menu is stellar, super creative Christmas cocktails using some mid-shelf quality ingredients. They are certainly on the pricier side at $20 but I do think it's worth it given the better alcohols being used here compared to other places. I had the gingerbread man and it was like a delicious buttery spicy old fashioned. Solid pour, totally worth it. Also had a Guinness which they poured the right way on Nitro. Love to see it and can't be beat.Would love to go back here and try out more of the cocktails and enjoy the decorations. Definitely recommend coming here, especially during the holidays!

The Dead Rabbit in Austin is a solid spot if you're craving a proper Irish pub experience. The place is always packed, but for good reason! The corned beef slider is fantastic, and they pour a perfect pint of Guinness. Expect a lively atmosphere, friendly service, and a bit of a wait, but it's worth it. I'm a fan - Cheers!

Okay, yes, the prices are high...but, anyone complaining about the prices clearly forgets that they're going to a NYC-restaurant on 6th Street. News flash to those complaining...Austin really isn't THAT different than NYC when it comes to prices. They are also new, and still adjusting to meet the market here in Austin. While we didn't love paying $20 for a cocktail, it's honestly so much better quality than the $13-$18 "holiday" drink you're paying at any other place with a holiday menu. The Dead Rabbit is a GREAT addition of classiness meets fun. They really have done a wonderful job with the space with different types of seating and really beautiful holiday decor. The food was unexpectedly good, too. Sure, the pot pie was a bit on the dryer side (as mentioned in another review), but it was still tasty. The fish and chips, though, was a favorite. Perfectly battered and not at all greasy. Even the French Fries, dipped in tartar, were tasty. I have confidence that the staff will continue to improve the quality of food, and I look forward to returning to try more off the menu (hopeful that the prices for drinks will adjust too). Cheers, Dead Rabbit! Pro Tip: Use the menu through the QR code to see pictures of food and drinks. The holiday hot cocoa (Naughty List) was fantastic. Slane Irish Whisky, Dewar's 12, chocolate, oats, salted caramel cream. Also, Happy hour times are from 4-6pm on weekdays and 3-5pm on weekends (Guinness, included in specials). Sunday special (Prime Rib). Brunch 11-4 on the weekends. Boom.

Awesome. Bar Bites, Burgers, Shepherds Pie, Fish n Chips, Salmon and a side of Chips (well fries). A whole bunch of drinks, lots of laughs and good service and of course, friends / good company. 6th street is full of eclectic places to go and I'll try them all.

I don't even know where to begin! Super excited for this bar's future. It's in a great location and the vibes are amazing. Their Christmas decor is wonderful & their staff is fantastic. My friend and I walked in around 7 PM on a Thursday night without a reservation. Given that it's a new hot spot for Christmas drinks, the wait for a table was around 2 hours. We chose to wait around for seats at the bar and were fortunate enough to find some. The bar area was extremely packed but they were fully staffed and the bartenders got to everyone super quickly. We ordered the fried chicken tenders and the chowder (unfortunately did not take pictures) and they were delicious! Our bartender, Andy, was phenomenal. He was kind and tentative. He even agreed to take a photo of us! Definitely looking forward to coming back to see him. I ordered the jingle jangle, which is a frozen mint-chocolate cocktail that comes in a neat plastic cup you can take home. The straw was super cute but not very functional for a frozen drink since it was paper. My friend ordered the Golden Ring, which is whiskey based & tasty. Overall, we had an amazing experience and I can't wait to tell my friends about it! I will absolutely return for the ambiance, the staff, and the coffee shop that's attached to them right next door!

I came here after work during the holiday season since it was decked out with Christmas decor. The ambience was really nice and festive. The food and drinks were quite pricy though. I had a salmon tartare and it came out with regular crackers instead of soda bread. It took a while to get the staff's attention but eventually they came and apologized they were out of soda bread and took it off our bill which was really nice but I felt it should've just been acknowledged in the first place especially since the online menu shows photos.Otherwise, service was nice and I really liked the spot for a once in a while experience.

I've been wanting to make it here since it opened, knowing about the NYC location. I finally made it for a late afternoon drink and snack and was impressed. It was more casual than I expected inside which was nice. Made for a relaxed, easy dining experience. I sat at the bar and bartender was very friendly. They have an extensive cocktail menu and I asked her for a recommendation and she recommended the twilight zone. It did not disappoint. It was very unique with the inclusion of Guinness with a whiskey base and amaro. I also got a small Caesar salad that I added grilled chicken to. Everything I could want that afternoon. The chicken tendies looked great to from what I could see too. I'm looking forward to returning for a full mean experience.
