If you look up "Cheap Thrills" in the Oxford English Dictionary, The definition is "Fried Oreos at the Corndog Company in Manchaca, Texas."Nothing else describes the concept of Cheap Thrills so well.And let me tell you, I was 100% thrilled.* * *The Corndog Company is a total gas.It is located on the grounds of the Watering Bowl, a state of the art dog park that has everything dogs or their owners could want.The Corndog Company will sell you single hot dogs chopped up into little pieces to give to your dog.I have no doubt this is 100% thrills for the dog.There is a dog grooming truck - which is more for the owners than for Fido.There is a huge yard to run around with other dogs - and there is a tiny side yard for small timid dogs who don't want to rough and tumble with the big dogs.There is a lovely bar with coffee as well, to keep the owners sufficiently lubricated and mellow, or caffeinated and perky.There is a large screen where the guys can watch their football game.The actual dog park has old growth trees and plenty of shade. The Texas landscape is easy on the eyes.* * * But to my mind, the Corndog Company food truck is the star attraction.The corndogs are everything you could possibly want a corndog to be.If there is a Pantheon of Corndogs, these corndogs go in it.The dogs themselves come in five flavors - but I honestly don't think the actual hot dog under that corn bread makes a whole lot of difference.Once it is wrapped in that corn bread, and then drizzled with honey and then covered with mustard or catsup or sweet habanero mustard, the dog itself could be whatever.Actually your corn dog will be more than drizzled with mustard or catsup or sweet habanero mustard. The holes on top of the dispensers are cut large. The dispensers will blast out your mustard or whatever like a fire hydrant. Expect to be wiping off your dog with your French fries. Also expect to be visiting your dry cleaner the next day.The corndogs are good enough however that even with an Atlantic Ocean of mustard on your corndog, that corndog will still taste incredible. The honey they put on the corndog before you start messing with the condiments is a huge component of what makes those dogs good. The cornbread itself is absolutely positively divine.The corndog itself is also absolutely filling.I am used to corndogs being somewhat of a shabby skimpy snack.These will fill you up big time, let there be no doubt on that point.* * *Dessert can be either Fried Milky Way or the Fried Oreos.I haven't tried the Fried Milky Way ...But the Fried Oreos are 1000% Decadence on a stick.The Oreos kind of melt inside turning them into a cookies and cream granular filling.The inside of your fried Oreo sort of looks like caviarMost of what you get is the cornbread coating with hot comforting chocolate and vanilla cream inside.Cornbread with hot comforting chocolate and vanilla cream inside is a good thing.Never mind the Oreo melting.I melted.I didn't want to be anywhere else on the planet.* * *I am just as happy not to own a dog.I don't have to walk it at night.I don't have to come home to feed it.I don't have to play blame games over whether the dog or the humans were responsible for passing gas.But if I am going to go to the Corndog Company,I do NOT want to have to bring my dog along.Who wants to pay attention to a dog when your eyes are closed and you are flying around the universe because you have just had legendary fried Oreos?

I'd rate this food truck 10 stars if I could. I saw them at ACL and got the veggie corn dog, and I was in love. The veggie corn dog was so good, and the honey is genuinely the best part of it. I saw they were at the F1 race too and my friend and I got more corn dogs. They were so insanely good, I wish they were in NJ!! 10/10 would recommend, and don't forget the honey!

After passing this food truck several times, finally gave it a shot. So glad I did! The fresh corn dogs were delish! Make sure to get a side of the siracha honey. Mmmm.

The corn dogs are exactly what you'd expect. Loved the honey drizzle -- something I haven't tried before on my corn dog!We also tried the babybel. Didn't pick up any hints of the cheese -- tasted like a regular ol cheese stick from Hot Dog on a Stick at the mall (although my husband would argue those are delicious too).Only complaint is that we arrived 5 min before opening but no one showed up to open until 15 min after their posted hours.

A Mazing!If only everyone could do the simple things so well. The humble corn dog, but done very well indeed. Honey batter, juicy hot dog, deep fried to golden brown nirvana. When she asks if you'd like honey drizzled on top? Yes, please. Also try the battered, deep fried, Baby Bel cheese. Think fried cheese, but bougie and fantastic. Thanks for making this simple food, simply delicious.

Best corn dog I've had to date! They asked if I wanted honey and while I was weary I agreed and man I'm glad I did! Never had honey with a corn dog but now I will never go back to basic mustard. Lovely service given by this Woman owned business. Awesome ambiance as well. This was my first visit to the thicket with live music and plenty of picnic tables under the shaded trees; I will most definitely be back.

This place was delicious!! I LOVE corn dogs and my Epic Dog meal was on point. The batter was perfect and crispy, and the size of the corn dog was pretty large and absolutely filling! The house made chips were also delicious and perfectly crispy. Flavor was 10/10 but for some reason the temperature of the hot dog when I bit into it threw me off. I didn't like that it was hot on the outside but kind of cold/room temp in the center.The fried cheesecake balls are a seasonal item I believe and man am I happy I got to try it. It was WILDLY TASTY.Also, LOVE the fact they had both regular ketchup AND sriracha ketchup. Best surprise ever.

Holy Cheesus! Corndog filled with cheese? Yes please. Corndog Company is serving up a great lineup of treats: traditional dogs, plant-based, Korean, and various cheeses dipped in a delicious batter. Try the Babybel cheese pop. It's the perfect sidekick to a traditional corndog. Locally owned and operated. Say hi to Marlee. She's the best.

Tonight was the grand opening of The Corndog Co. My daughter got the mini which is the size of a regular corndog. I got the epic which is actually larger, and was also drizzled with honey. I've never put honey on a corndog but I did enjoy it. Everyone was very helpful and assisted my daughter when she went to pick up the dogs and when she went back up to get the honey drizzled on it. I will say I that we will definitely be coming back.

Holy moly! Imagine if you will a world in which the sweetest of food trailer owners takes a Babybel cheese, skewers and dips it in her perfection of a corn dog batter, lovingly fries it up, and then serves it with a drizzle of glistening honey. This world is not imaginary my friends...it's real, and they are so stupidly good I have been craving them since the moment I finished my order! Get your butt to the Thicket Food Park IMMEDIATELY and indulge!
