The Coffeehouse at Caroline

Friendly service! Great coffee!! Perfect cinnamon roll-a definite on Congress Street in DT Austin.

Very convenient location, connected with the Aloft hotel and Caroline restaurant which we will review another day.Scenery is nice, people are nice and coffee even nicer! I ordered the Mexican Iced Coffee in which was really good! Comfortable seats on both sides of the area, the tacos weren't the best and are very pricey, but that's Austin.

Good coffee spot located inside the 1st floor of the Aloft & Element hotel. There is a good menu of coffee, matcha, chai options. There is also a menu of fresh juice and large variety of baked goods (included 3 options for Gluten free!). I ordered the juice, which I was not a fan of because it had so much ice. They were also out of the Green juice which I initially wanted and ended up settling for the LOCA (which was carrot juice based). If there was no ice, I would've liked this juice more, however the ice in this juice really threw me off. I also ordered a gluten free scone. It was ok, however was very sweet. Additionally, there are pre-made breakfast tacos in the morning. No other cooked food options are available. Also no yogurt. Overall, if you are into coffee drinks and baked goods, this could be a quick and easy spot for a grab-and-go breakfast.

This place has a little bit of everything. Good coffee and snacks to start your day. Seating can get a little crazy because they share space with the restaurant below. Service was quick and attentive. Great option if you live near by or are staying at the Aloft hotel.

The food here is pretty decent for a nice breakfast. Service is quick efficient. Ambience is very modern and nice. Overall nice breakfast.

This is a small, cozy, cute little café at the Aloft. They serve a variety of fresh juices, pastries, iced teas, and coffees. Lattes cost around five dollars and the detox juice costs around $ 6.50. They also have a small bar.

Iced tea on menu but guess what - they don't have iced tea. Wish I had known - I had time to run to Starbucks but had just checked out and didn't want to track my luggage to Starbucks.How are you out of iced tea at 11 am? Yikes

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, yet I'm not a fan of The Coffeehouse at Caroline. I ordered a Mexican inspired nitro brew drink. While my hubby drank it, it tastes like I was drink straight alcohol. After forcing myself to give it a go, I just couldn't do it. I returned to the counter, spoke to the barista and learned that this "alcohol" taste is a common problem with all their nitro brew. They replaced my drink with a non-nitro variety, yet the damage to the taste buds was done, and I couldn't fully enjoy the replacement drink.

This place has what my coffee-snob girlfriend called "The best black coffee in Texas." The beans are grown in some fancy country and are roasted in an even fancier roast-house. The barista dude behind the counter couldn't have been nicer either, he even ushered a loitering tour group out of the dining room space so we'd have more room to enjoy the cafe. Their pastries were also amazing! Generous sizes that my girlfriend continued to munch on throughout the day. We loved the decor too.

The milk foam was well-textured and done just right. The drink was piping hot, which I appreciated. But beyond that? Pretty underwhelming. The espresso base was watery and lacked depth, making the overall flavor feel flat. It wasn't bad, just nothing memorable.If you're just looking for a hot, frothy drink, it gets the job done. But if you're after a rich, flavorful cappuccino, this one misses the mark.
