Sampled the fish tacos. Nice little spice kick to them and the size was OK for the price. Solid. Also, really nice peeps!FYI - EVERYTHING on this truck is fried, so maybe not your place if you're looking for a grilled or other option. The truck is located in the Tanger Outlet mall parking lot next to Tommy Hilfiger. So, if you're put shopping this is certainly a step up from the standard food court fare. Give it a try! Good, but the food truck close to home (hi, MJ) has much better tacos. Sorry, but it's true.

So a friend was telling me about the hitch, San Marcos's new trailer eatery. Awesome!We stopped in and only a few were open. Dangit, but the caboose was. They specialize in seafood, but it was a little toasty outside to be gobbling down some fried calamari.I picked the chicken strips with a side of sweet potato fries. Both were super yummy and really inexpensive.I also had a teaser of their lobster bisque. It was good, and I'll def be back to try some of their seafood, maybe on a day that I'm not soaking up some rays.

I just moved to San Marcos and wanted good, fresh, non greasy food and hit the jackpot!!! Fantastic food! Guy working was so friendly!! The crab balls are to die for. Worth every penny!

Good fish tacos, but fried. I wish they offered grilled as well, but enjoyed them nonetheless. My son really enjoyed the chicken nuggets and fries. Hush puppies come with every entree, and were excellent! Service was good, and it is so nice to have food trucks at the outlet malls.

Food & service are great. Ordered the oyster po boy. Came with 4 fried oysters on it, BUT the oysters were pretty big & covered the sandwich. Came with a spicy ranch sauce that tasted like it had a hint of horseradish which went well with the seafood. The owner didn't recognize me or my boyfriend & asked if we had ever been here before. We both shook our heads & he gave us a free order of the funnel cake fries. I'm not even a fan of funnel cakes & they were still really good. They drizzled chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry sauce on them. I would definitely come back for the po boy but would also like to try more of their menu that looks and sounds delicious.

went to the caboose on a sunday and it wasn't busy. i ordered the philly sandwich and it was delish. plenty of parking and very friendly staff.

This place is serving up some of the best and freshest Seafood in the City of San Marcos.. everything here is delicious and the owners are really great guys!!

I ordered the fish taco and was not disappointed. Spicy and flavorful! I highly recommend this joint.

My family had the pleasure of discovering The Caboose Seafood while shopping at the Outlet Mall. The food was good and the service exceptional. I had the Crawfish Po Boy which was tasty and the spicy sauce and pickles went perfect with it. The owner happened to be fellow alumni from Southwest Texas State and it was fun reminiscing about the bars and restaurants from our shared "stomping grounds". They gave us a free sample of the funnel cake fries that were drizzled with raspberry and vanilla that were "to die for" and I ended up ordering some for dessert. I only wish we lived closer, but I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm in town.

My first time to eat here they had their amazing crawfish jalepeño chowder (not salt & super creamy). Such sweet guys, came out and put up an umbrella for my boyfriend and I, gave us sample, etc. The food is legit too-I'm from closer to LA and it tasted like home. Best. Fried. Pickles. Ever.
