One of my favorite Thai spots in town for many years now. Been coming here for nearly a decade now and it is always consistent. My top dish is easily the drunken noodles. Noodles and beef are cooked to perfection. They give you plenty so always a highlight to have enough for a second lunch another day. I wanted to try the wings out. Mind you this was a to-go order, so weren't fresh out of the kitchen, but they were slightly disappointing. Not much flavor and on the skimpier side.We also ordered the kid's sweet and sour fried chicken. We assumed the sauce would be on the chicken but it's just on the side for you to dip. side note: not mango season so no mango sticky rice.

Came out here for a craving fix! Needed some good Thai food (especially some noodles). The restaurant was actually fulllllllll on a Tuesday night and there were many customers coming in to pick up online orders. That's always a good sign. Ambiance: super chill and family friendly.Parking: lots of it (no need to worry about it)Food: delish! Not pictured: the taro boba, potstickers as appetizers & my husband's pineapple shrimp fried rice. It was all super yummy! Prices: a bit steep in this inflation but it's expected.i would come back!

The food here is meh. The quality, seasoning, and flavor leave a lot to be desired. I've ordered here a few times in a pinch, hoping it would get better. It doesn't. I think I'm done.

Uber Eats on a Sunday evening. The cucumber salad was so good!!! I cannot wait to order again. I had the chicken curry and it was very flavorful. My boyfriend had the seafood dish and he just wished that there would've been more seafood for the price. But overall, great food and I will order again.

Thai Spoon used to be one of our go-to spots, but after this last order, it might be time to say goodbye. I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp and requested it to be hot. What I received was Thai hot, way beyond what I wanted, and the shrimp were missing entirely. It just didn't taste good, and I regret relying on a previous Yelp review to try this.My husband's Fried Rice with chicken was another letdown. He asked for Thai hot and got regular hot instead, plus it was overloaded with onions and large chunks of tomatoes, which didn't work for him.The only highlight was the Chicken Potstickers, which were deep-fried and served with a special soy sauce. They were the best part of the meal, but unfortunately, that wasn't enough to save the experience. We've ordered here many times, but the inconsistency has become a real issue. When you're paying higher prices, you expect the quality to be reliable. Time to explore other Thai restaurants in the area.

I'm always on the lookout for excellent Thai restaurants and I'm adding Thai Spoon to the list. Although located in a somewhat nondescript shopping center, the food is anything but bland. This family-run restaurant churns out some amazing entrees and it seems to be very busy most of the time. One of my old essential standbys that I find sets the tone for any Thai restaurant is green curry. Thai Spoon's version is excellent, filled with bamboo and proteins that are cooked to perfection. The sauce was pleasingly creamy and held together well. Some curries end up with a broken sauce but Thai Spoon was made exactly right with a good snort of pepper spices as well. The Pad Woon Sen hit the right notes too with a good balance between the brightness of lime juice and savory soy and fish elements. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and will be back. Highly recommended.

Thai Spoon has been one of my favorite Pad Thai spots for a few years now. I have actually not tried anything other than their Pad Thai and mango with sticky rice. The mango with sticky rice is delicious every single time and up until the last few visits their Pad Thai has been off the chain. Unfortunately, the spice level has not been delivering the proper heat. I always order the Thai hot spice level and I even top it off with a little Sriracha. When I received my first wimpy spiced noodles, I thought maybe it was just an ordering mistake but it's happened about three times now. I'm not sure what's changed, but because of this it just is not my favorite spot anymore.

Best Thai spot in all of north Austin, in my humble opinion. It is my comfort food and my wife's go-to spot whenever we feel like we are tired, hungry, and don't feel like cooking :) Thai Spoon is always consistent, hot, fresh, delicious, EVERY TIME. It just hits the spot. They don't miss!Service is always great. Wait staff are friendly, attentive, and consistent. I have rarely dined-in, but when I do, it is still a stellar experience. Warm staff and very little wait time, and food comes out quickly. Pick-up orders are always ready at the expected time. I may have had to wait on my pick-up order an extra five minutes once, but that is very rare.Inside has plenty of seating, open space, friendly wait staff, full of delicious smells, and, of course, delicious dishes :) I usually do take-out and it is delicious straight out of the box when we bring it home. You know how a lot of restaurants you pick up from, after you get home and eat it, you say, "it's probably a lot better there." Not with Thai Spoon! Their stuff is so good, that after the 20-minute ride from the restaurant to my house, I can take it all out, and it is still super delicious, hot, and fresh. I rarely taste anything soggy, over-soaked in oil, or less fresh in any way. Ready to be in my belly!Any curry is great! I have literally cycled through every one of them and love them all. Massamun curry, Green curry, Red curry, Panang Curry - I have had all with beef or chicken or both. Sometimes I've done vegetarian, and the broth and taste is still so good, I don't really care. And I'm not even a vegetarian!I get Chicken Potstickers for the kids often and they are hot, crispy, and delicious. My son scarfs them down in minutes. My wife swears by the Chicken Pad Thai, mainly for the taste, but also because she can ask for no spice. Shockingly, some Thai places do not ask you what spice level you want! Thai Spoon does and the spice level always matches your expectations - from no spicy to Thai Hot. Get ready for the heat if you go all the way!Basil fried rice is also delicious and they give you generous portions. I'd recommend with beef, chicken, or both. Thai iced tea, Thai iced coffee are both delicious drinks I'd highly recommend as well.As a testament to how good their food is, even during the pandemic, people were still ordering from them on a regular basis! Though no one was physically inside the restaurant, every time I went to pick up an order, I would always see at least one or two more orders sitting at the back counter waiting to be picked up. Once the pandemic died down, people were right back inside! If you want awesome Thai food up in the North Austin area, look no further! Do your tastebuds a favor and pick some up today!

When we walked in at lunchtime, we were pleasantly surprised to find it packed with people. Ambiance was great. Our food was served rather quickly given the packed tables. However, we weren't impressed with the food. The calamari starter was nothing to die for. Too much breading. And how could you go wrong with Pad thai? It totally lacked flavor and was quite bland. Such a let down. Not sure if we'll come again to try out their other dishes.
