Super fun. Plenty of sake to try and love. Flights, special off-menu selections, and even someone grilling on a traditional hibachi. Great seating area with wooden booths and traditional pillows. Fish artwork inside is beautiful.

Stopped by The Yard and kicked things off at Texas Sake. They have a great selection of in-house sakes along with familiar favorites. Plus, they serve sushi and have plenty of board games to keep things fun. A great spot to hang out and try something new!

Very cool concept in the St Elmo area. Similar to a brewery but for sake which I think is very different. They even have board games to play and anime playing inside. I love that it's all indoors so no need to worry about the Texas heat. Their sake's are interesting. Not the best I've had, but still pleasurable enough to drink. They had a ginger sparkling sake that I really liked. Overall, I've been a couple times and will keep going back. It's definitely worth a visit!

Large open tasting room with plenty of seating and sunlight. Stopped in on a Friday afternoon and was disappointed to not be greeted by employees who were standing together talking. Sat at the bar and when an employee finally came over they just asked what we wanted to order but we had never been so we needed a menu. They didn't seem interested in explaining anything so we just had one flight and left. The flight was pretty good . Highly recommend the lemon drop sake. I would say good sake but received poor service experience despite it not being busy.

We were in the Yard / St. Elmo Rd area on a Saturday early afternoon so we stopped by Texas Sake and was pleasantly surprised by the cute interior and the added bonus of being able to drink sake and have sushi from Texas Sushiko inside. The space features charming Japanese-inspired booths and wasn't crowded. It's counter order only for both drinks and sushi, and the service was quick and friendly. I tried the sparkling sake sampler and liked three out of the four. I didn't care much for the lime or lemon sake as it tasted like cleaning supply; if you can swap it out, do it. The space is dog-friendly, which is a HUGE plus. We enjoyed our sake drinks with delicious bites from Texas Sushiko. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I came here through a class pop event for a sushi class held in the back of the sake brewery. I had the Hawaiian and pineapple sake drink. It was super tasty. I don't remember what my husband had, but he said it was good, also. I'm not sure if the brewery held the sushi class, but this was such a good idea and I can't wait to come back. There's a lot of seating, and the place's ambiance is really nice too.The sake bartender was friendly and knowledgeable about the sake and made it a good experience.

every time we come here, i see the guy with his dog, and it's so homey and welcoming. He's conversational and knowledgeable on the sakes available. Food is available at the hand roll food truck. There are traditional Japanese seating and then picnic tables to accommodate larger groups. There is a stand up bar stool set up outside too. Plenty of parking. Come check out a sake flight. I really enjoy learning about this type of beverage over beer.

Came here on a Sunday for an event! I enjoyed the sparking Sake Flight prices at $18, you'll get a nice buzz from these. I appreciate the fact that there were mocktail options for a few of my peeps who don't drink. They enjoyed the Mocktail Margarita (Kombucha was used for the base) I also ordered a few hand rolls and this interesting spicy tuna walking taco--delicious! Texas Sake could use a makeover.. it is a little bland and uninspiring inside of bar, which is probably why it was pretty empty. They need air conditioning too, it's very hot inside. Lots of seats and space to move around plus I Love love love the booths. There is plenty of parking too.

Jeremiah was so sweet in helping us pick out custom sake flight. Paired w the hand rolls from Sushiko, I had a blast relaxing in the booth tasting and contrasting sake. Takes card. Parking easy on a Thursday night. Can't wait to come back!

TLDR - The environment is trendy and great for groups but the sake is not my favorite. I wouldn't go out of my way to try this spot. I wish I could give this spot a better review. We had been wanting to come here for a while, and finally booked a weekend to try it. Plenty of parking, and the area is really neat. Its in a warehouse type structure, and there is a foodtruck out front that serves sushi handrolls so you can eat with your sake drink. The ambiance inside is industrial/urban but there are TVs playing anime shows and some kyoto-inspired booths. There is a cool mural on the wall - overall its a really neat space. (And there is a puppy, but it looked terrified the entire time)This spot also serves beer, and I think that would be a better bet for drinking. We tried their standard flight of tasting, and the sake had a very unique taste to it - it wasn't for me. One sake tasted like they added whiskey to it which wasn't our favorite. We actually didn't end up finishing our flight because after one sip some of the sake just started to taste really bad. I've been to Kobe, Japan and toured some of the sake breweries there, so I appreciate making sake is a huge undertaking and its surprisingly involved. I give this place kudos for trying to make it in the middle of Austin, but its just not there yet. But I'm rooting for them!
