A Serene Setting for Jazz MagicI recently attended a jazz holiday candlelight concert at Mansion, and the experience was a delightful blend of musical enchantment and architectural beauty. The venue, true to its name, was a stunning mansion that added a touch of elegance to the evening. The stage setup was impeccable, providing an intimate and cozy atmosphere that complemented the jazz tunes perfectly. The soft glow of candlelight added a festive and warm ambiance, creating a serene environment that heightened the overall experience. One aspect that could have been improved upon was the bar setup. With only one bar in place, the line tended to be quite long, causing a bit of inconvenience for attendees. Despite this, the friendly and helpful staff worked diligently to serve everyone efficiently.

Austin is a very competitive city for wedding venues due to its young population and limited number of quality venues! The Mansion is almost completely unique in this city for being a spacious, centrally located, beautiful, affordable wedding venue with parking. Believe me, I did the research! Especially if you're having a large wedding of 150+ people, there really are very few other options within the city limits. The Mansion is a non-profit and they are honest and fair with their pricing. The building is also incredibly beautiful and historically interesting. Every time I walk in, I forget how gorgeous it is and have to catch my breath. It's really an extremely impressive work of architecture. Photos don't do the space justice. It needs very little additional decor. My husband and I got married here on 6/3/17 and I have no complaints whatsoever about the venue or its management. Mari is a wonderful, kind and patient woman who graciously put up with a lot of confusion and questions from the bride and mother of the bride. She also kindly allowed us to come in the day before our wedding and set up some of our décor, since they hadn't booked another wedding that day. The Mansion provides chairs and tables for rent and allows you to work with any outside vendors of your choice. Most of the big name wedding vendors in Austin are familiar with The Mansion.

This place is incredible! My husband and I had our wedding reception here on Saturday November 26, 2011. The ballroom is beautiful and I knew I wanted have our reception here the second I walked in last November(2010). Its a old historic building, which I loved. You can bring in your own vendors which is so awesome and will save you money in the long run. There is a huge stage for a DJ, which is perfect so they don't take up your floor space. FYI.....We had a photo booth, DJ, buffet setup, cake table, 20 tables, 200 guests and we still had plenty of space to walk around and dance. It's a large yet so unique space. Mari, our representative at the TFWC, was always very helpful and communicative through email, which I appreciated. As mentioned in earlier posts, yes, they are particular on the exact times to be in and out but that wasn't a big deal for us at all. 8 rental hours was plenty! You can rent furniture from them(all tables and up to 150 chairs) which is very helpful but in my case we had to rent extra chairs from a rental company because we had 200 guests. That was kind of frustrating but not a big deal. And no, you don't have to rent linens from them. I used Marquee rents for mine(review on them to come soon!) I could not have picked a better place for the most wonderful day of my life, thus far! :)

We showed up for our scheduled apt to see this wedding venue. We arrived and sat down at a sofa with a coffee table that had lovely photo albums of previous weddings that had been held there. We were passed by a mother and daughter being showed the place. Not a word was said to us.. not even a "we'll be right with you" or "we'll be with you in just a minute" nothing. hmm. odd. SO we waited.....and waited..............and waited some more.............45 minutes later we decided to take a look around ourselves. Hell, we had been there for almost and hour since we were about 10 minutes early for our 1:45 appointment. We finally ran into someone who was helping the previous party, and she tried to lie and say she went up to the front to look for us, and when we explained where we were sitting waiting for her, she said oh well " I didn't go up that far". so.. how far up did you go if you didn't make it to the sofa/coffee table?? I felt disrespected and decided If this is how it starts out before dollars have even been exchanged its better just to find somewhere else to celebrate the happiest day of our lives.

The Candlelight Concerts are great music, and a wonderful experience, even if the candles are fake. But be sure to sit up close, or you won't be able to see a thing in the dark.Their photo package is a complete rip-off, however. You get a tiny, blurry Polaroid knock-off with 1/8 inch wide blurred faces. Totally unusable and they laugh at you if you ask for a refund. Save your money and take a selfie.

Very nice place, with the exception of the men's bathroom. It's basically an afterthought. The women have a luxurious and spacious "Powder Room". But for the men? Nothing much more than a country outhouse. I understand that the building is run by a women's organization, but if they are going to rent it out for events to the general public -- they need to have some greater level of respect for the other 50%.

My husband and I had our wedding at the TFWC Mansion, and we were so pleased with how it turned out. We worked with Mari throughout the planning process, and she was more than accommodating when it came to our questions and visits to double check the space. The price point for the venue is very reasonable, especially in comparison to other wedding venues. We were able to go with a Saturday wedding instead of Sunday because the prices were so similar. It was also greatly convenient having rentals available through the venue. We arrived the day of, and the tables and chairs were all set up and ready to go how we wanted, and we were able to leave them at the end of the night. Overall, we were so happy with our experience at the Mansion.
