Terry Black's Barbecue

The edges/tips of the brisket are in whole other universe compared to any other brisket, anywhere. The Pinto beans were so full of flavor and worth the trip alone. I had the cornbread as my dessert and it was just right - not too cakey, not too dry. I may be a corn bread traditionalist but I appreciate that they don't try to get too fancy with adding jalepeños or corn kernels. Their original BBQ sauce is a perfectly mouth-watering combination of sweet, spice and tang. The Mac and cheese was substantial. Creamy but not too saucy. Very good.Great traditional BBQ spot atmosphere with efficient service.

This was my first time visiting this place, and I think I'll be a regular from now on. The food was absolutely incredible--some of the juiciest, most tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat I've ever had. The beef was simply outstanding. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The mac and cheese was rich and delicious, and the coleslaw was crisp and refreshing.This place is clearly popular, and I can see why. It seems like there's always a line, but the staff works incredibly fast and efficiently. Even though the line extended outside when we arrived, we waited no more than 10 minutes, and it was absolutely worth it.There's plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors, making it a great spot to sit back, relax, and enjoy amazing food in a comfortable atmosphere.This is hands down one of the best Texas BBQ spots I've been to. The quality, taste, and service all exceeded my expectations. If you're a barbecue lover, this place is a must-visit!

I had a 4 hour layover, so I decided to go to one of my favorite BBQ restaurants in Austin!Service is always fast and efficient! Busy but there was always a table to sit at!DELICIOUS! I can't wait to come back!

Pretty good but a little too salty. Got the beef ribs, brisket sandwich, and mac. Worth trying but not the best bbq I've had in Austin.That said, I was pretty impressed by their operation. It was packed but you get through the line fast and manage to get a seat.

Quite possibly my favorite BBQ spot thus far!I like the overall ambiance of this spot. Super casual, unassuming, and very "Texas". The good:-Fantastic brisket (both sliced and on sandwich)-Beef ribs also aces-Excellent selection of sauces-Fun merch to purchase-A lot of seating, but can get quite crowded-Even if it's crowded, the line moves along pretty quickly (unlike say.. Leroy & Lewis)The not so good:-Pork ribs and mac & cheese aren't anything impressive-We all know real BBQ is pricey, but it can get a little carried away here (looking at you beef ribs)As far as I'm concerned, Terry Black's is in the S Tier category.

What an experience that was! The brisket was so amazing!! At the end, we went back to where it's being cooked and the guy that works there was explaining the process! They have people working around the clock 24/7 to make sure if amazing as it is! We got pork ribs and sausage and brisket! I don't eat pork but had the brisket and it was AMAZING! I loved it! The line was so long but was so quick and so organized! It's amazing! The sides, Mexican rice was good, max and cheese and the corn! All good additions! But the brisket was something else!!I'm glad our friends took us here! I have to say best brisket that I have ever had! So worth the try! I would do it again!

Food is amazing!I got a single green beans and single Mac & cheese with a 1/2 pound of pork ribs. Everything was fresh and wasn't too greasy. My partner got the Cole slaw, banana pudding, and turkey. Friends got a mix of brisket, beef ribs, beans, and other sides with corn bread. Only downsides is the seating can be confusing, the long line, and parking. But, the line moves quick, the team there is responsive and asks if it's your first time to help you understand how it operates, and they clean the tables quickly when people leave. If you can, try and uber/walk. Definitely recommend visiting Terry Black's Barbecue if you can!

Nice intro to Texas BBQ.The restaurant has a pleasant low key ambience with lots of dark wood and tons of seating both inside and their large patio. Despite the fact that it was quite busy on a Friday afternoon we were able to order right away. Ordering happens cafeteria style where you get your sides first then move on to the meats. We got the mac and cheese, corn bread, cole slaw, beef rib, brisket, and turkey.Mac and cheese (3/5) - pretty mid mac and cheese. More creamy than cheesy. Can skip thisCole slaw (4/5) - the cole slaw is more on the creamy side than zingy, but the creaminess offset the meat pretty well.Corn bread (5/5) - inexpensive and delicious with a nice buttery sweet taste. I would recommend. Brisket (3/5) - this was pretty mid too. It wasn't terrible but not as moist as I would like and the spice rub was too salty.Beef rib (4.5/5) - this was what I was most looking forward to and besides the dry rub again being too salty, the meat was juicy, tender and everything came off the huge bone easily. Don't skip this!Turkey (4/5) - this was surprisingly delicious. On its own it's a bit bland/dry but paired perfectly with all of the BBQ sauces. I will say Terry Black's has excellent BBQ sauces - they taste ok on their own but pair very harmoniously with all the meats. This place to be honest isn't the most memorable BBQ I've had but it's still a good place to check out!

Service was great! Food was amazing, the beef ribs were the best! All employees were happy and friendly. The parking lot was full but didn't take long for someone else to back out and leave a spot open.
