What a hidden gem! Go good I was tempted not to review in order to keep it hidden Adorable coffee window with an outdoor space to enjoy your coffee and in the case of my visit the accompanying Polish food pop up.The coffee itself is outstanding - house made banana syrup was incredible. It tastes like banana bread! Add some house made chocolate syrup and you've got a chocolate chip banana bread latte. Can't wait to go back!

My absolute favorite coffee shop in Austin. I recommend their signature Terrible latte! It's made with real banana extract that the owner Brian makes in house, and comes with whipped cream and wafers sprinkled on top. I normally don't like syrupy drinks, but this tastes more natural and not too sugary. Also, love the vibes and the people! It's in a refurbished boiler room. Mostly takeout with patio tables outside. Brian knows all the customers by name and gives a super personable feel, the way Austin used to be... xx

I tried the grapefruit brown sugar decaf latte with oat milk since the employee said whole milk would curdle with the syrup. I really enjoyed the drink! It was not overly sweet and I might enjoy too with the sweetness dialed down a bit. I would come back to try their other drinks since some have caught my eyes. I like how they don't up charge for almond or oat milk. There's outside seating next to the shop but it's more like a window service so there's no indoor seating. There's plenty of parking at the lot. It looks like it right next to an old theater or school of some sort. It's a cool place to have a coffee shop and at the very least, different. It's like you're in a little hidden courtyard. I love how they just stamped "Terrible" in this cute pink on the cups.

I had the grapefruit brown sugar latte and it was surprising good! The grapefruit flavor was not too strong and enjoyable. It's worth a try. They had friendly service and I like how it was an old boiler room, it's different. There is an outdoor seating area and a good amount of lot/street parking.

What a great find! I stopped here after a Central Market grocery binge to get a hot beverage for my car ride home. Great little spot, friendly and helpful service. This is my favorite Chai Tea Latte I have ever had. Spicy, not too sweet, well balanced and hot! Cant wait to go back and try other things...oh, and the plain croissant was really good, too.

The seasonal cranberry molasses and classic "terrible" latte are both amazing. The banana flavor is so unique and tastes like banana pudding in a drink! The patio seating is super cute but the line can get long on the weekends. Highly recommend checking out!

I had heard good things about this coffee shop from my friends so we decided to make our run club meeting spot Terrible Love when we finished around when they open at 7:30am. I had heard it gets pretty busy so wanted to check it out before a big line formed but even right at 7:30 there was still a line so expect a wait. But in this case it's a good sign because everyone is after their delicious coffee. I got a vanilla latte. Quality of ingredients and beans tasted very good and quality wise, I think it's one of the better coffee shops in Austin. Also got a chocolate filled pastry that was also tasty. Wish it was warmed up but I imagine the pastries go fast. Plenty of parking in the lot off to the side and on a nice day it was great to sit outside.

This coffee shop is tucked in near an old converted school building. The drinks are very interesting and we came here to try their viral banana milk latte and grapefruit latte. I'm always one for adventurous coffee flavors and while the banana was not my favorite the grapefruit was surprisingly good. Beware that the lines are quite long on the weekend!

Terrible Love is easily one of my top 5 favorite coffee spots in Austin. This beautiful outdoor gem was transformed from a boiler room into a stunning space that captures that old Austin charm. The workers here are super kind and knowledgeable, always ready to make the perfect cup. I always go for the Terrible Latte--it's honestly the perfect cup of coffee. Subtle hints of banana pudding and chocolate combined with an incredible espresso and smooth milk make it a flavor bomb in the best way. The first time I discovered this place, I had it every day for 3 days straight!I even brought my mom here, and she's tough to please, but she loved it too. She was so cute taking pictures of all the beautiful flowers around. Speaking of flowers, they really make this place stunning--but during the summer, there's a large presence of bees and wasps because of the plants. I'm deathly allergic to them, but I'm always willing to risk a sting for that amazing latte. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check out Terrible Love. Between the amazing coffee, beautiful setting, and kind staff, it's absolutely worth a visit!
