Techo Mezcaleria & Agave Bar

I love a good hidden gem! Techo is a must-visit for mezcal enthusiasts. They offer creative cocktails featuring mezcal and tequila, with cozy indoor and outdoor seating options. The indoor ambiance is dimly lit, intimate and provides air-conditioning, while playing favorable latin house tech. I tried the Craft Frozen Guava & their seasonal Sandita, which were both refreshing and potent. Easily will return, and definitely a fan!

My wife and I came here for drinks after dinner...really cool vibe, and based on the reviews I thought it would be smaller, but there were chairs for around 20 inside, and the same at least outside. Friendly bartenders and reall good drinks...worth coming again for sure to suck up some ambience & atmosphere. 5 stars.

This place is quite cute! It's quaint and has a cozy vibe. All the drinks on the menu incorporate mezcal as you can imagine and I am a person that doesn't really like the taste of hard liquor BUT the drink I had was actually very lovely with just the right amount of sweetness! For the life of me I cannot remember the name of the drink but I had asked the bartender verbatim "which drink on the cocktail menu was the sweetest" and he confirmed the one I had been looking at was. My date got a very strong drink that was very smoky but he liked his too, and we got a mezcal margarita at the end of the night that was perfect for both of us (me that likes sweeter drinks and he that does not) which we shared. We sat on a table at the deck outside, there is limited seating inside but both the inside and deck outside have a cozy, casual vibe. Overall I was surprised by this place that is not nearly as fancy/upscale as a lot of other bars I've been but it had a pirate-y low light theme that I actually did kind of dig and I had a very fun date overall here.

Such a cute, divey spot to get your mezcal fix! The bar is located on top of Mi Madres. To enter, head to the Schoolhouse Pub and take the stairs to the right. Parking is slim, but you should be able to find some street parking all around the Manor st. area.The bar itself is very small, but outside there are tables with misters! The bar gives me alot of church, gothic, dive bar vibes, which is perfect for a drink with a few friends. I got the mezcal marg on happy hour, and it was the perfect drink for only $7! Can't wait to come back and try other cocktails!

I'm surprised I never wrote a review for this place as I've been here quite a few times. It's my favorite place for mezcal cocktails and many first dates. The drink menus pretty extensive and creative which makes for great conversation starter. The atmosphere is pretty dark and intimate so it makes a great place for a date or just some quality time with friends. The only cons is that parking may be kinda a pain since it's street parking as the parking lot is very limited. Nevertheless, a great place for mezcal or tequila cocktails.

One of the best Michelada in Austin. They use a lot of authentic ingredients and it's not some premixed stuff that most places serve.

Tiny bar with amazing mezcal drinks. Few tables inside but several outside tables on the roof. Intimate space that is great for small groups or a casual date night. Unique spot with a fun vibe. I am not a huge mezcal drinker but was still impressed with the taste of my drinks. I will definitely check it out again

I love Techo. What a little gem. The frozen mezcal margaritas are so good. I love the spicy stuff they put on the rim of the glass. The chairs could be more comfortable outside but they fit with the aesthetic. If you're tall you may have a hard time sitting on them and fitting your legs under the table.

Hidden! Great service! Beautiful patio! Cozy corners. What's not to like? We had a great time at Techo after dinner nearby.
