We took out and were pleased but not blown away. To be fair, we have eaten at a lot of Ethiopian restaurants so I think we tend to be a bit pickier. But, compared to other places, I felt that the injera here was quite bland. The vegetable sampler was very good, but the dishes tended to be quite watery. I think if you're new to Ethiopian food, this is a very good place to start since the flavors are more muted and accessible. But for folks who really love a strong, fermented-tasting injera, this may be a bit underwhelming. The service here was incredible though - everyone was extremely kind. And the ambiance was very lovely and welcoming!

It's been a while since I've had Ethiopian food and have I been missing out!!! This meal was delicious. It's vegetarian-friendly with a lot of great veg options which I loved. The vegetarian platter was fantastic in trying a bit of everything!BUT it also has fantastic meat options such as lamb tibbs (fried lamb pieces, probably my favorite!), goat kikil (a stew), and doro wot (national dish, chicken & egg). I basically recommend everything we ordered so you really can't go wrong here! I'd love to come back and try more of the menu and Tej (Ethiopian style honey wine).

Great Ethiopian restaurant close to downtown, with a nice, relaxing ambiance and flavorful, plentiful food!I came here with family to celebrate my sister's birthday. Miriam I believe her name was, was a super kind and friendly woman who came by frequently to check on us and took our orders. Ethiopian is always a great choice for vegetarians, and of course we got the vegetarian plate. Among three people, we couldn't even finish one plate because it was so filling! Definitely come here HUNGRY. Parking is not bad either, as the restaurant is situated under apartments and amongst other eateries and shops so there is ample garage parking in the back.

This restaurant has a very nice mom n pop restaurant vibe. The staff here is extremely friendly. The food satisfies the right cravings of taste and buttery goodness. I love their yemisir wot. The service could be slow here tho, so don't show up hungry :) Brunch has a lot of options - including, a full vegetarian section of buffet! Definitely check it out

Beautiful people, lady always so nice and always telling me how much she likes working with her sister and the place has nice hot tea , vegan choices, tables are decorated and windows are painted so pretty. Like the bread and the fact just eat with hands . So much flavor and so much different things that make up belly happy mentally healthy. Only ones I found a hair in the food but that was fixed .

Service was good but had some unusual rules, like how many sides you can order per entree. I would have liked to try more sides but o well. Everything tasted good. Not my usual pick but it was good and interesting and mixed things up.

Probably overdue an update - still a great place to visit for lunch with friends. We got the vegetarian platter for 3 and could barely finish it. Everything is so flavorful and the service is so warm and welcoming. Buffet hasn't returned yet but the shared platter is a great option too.

This was my first time trying Ethiopian food and it is such an engaging and delicious experience! The ladies are so kind and bring the food out in courses on a little cart. We started with sambosas (similar concept to samosas) and they are packed with flavor and spice. It doesn't look like a lot of food, but your dish is served on the tasty dough and you scoop the dough with the food to eat with your hands. I am vegetarian and ordered the Yemisir Wot (spicy lentils) and it was awesome. I went with meat eaters and they enjoyed their dishes as well (pictured on the top side of the photo). This is a great place if you are looking for something to do a little bit more exciting than just dinner. The food is tasty, but it is also such a fun experience!

We love Miriam. I called ahead to reserve for our party of six and loved talking with her. We enjoyed the traditional coffee and got two of the vegetarian sample platters to share. Everything was deliciously spiced and Miriam and the servers were more than willing to answer our questions.

Some of the best Ethiopian food I've eaten. This place is every bit as good as places in Philly, D.C. and Toronto! I shared the ultimate vegetarian combo for two and it was amazing! The fesolia (beans and carrots), yemisir wot (splice lentils) and eggplant were my favorite, but I liked them all! The gomen and shiro wat were also quite good. The service was excellent, and it's a decent ambiance for a date.
