South Austin has been getting my taco love lately, so drove north today for a new spot up in far north Lamar.Standard chorizo and egg and bacon and egg on flour tortillas to start. Tortillas looked too thick to the eye, but they were fluffy and quite good. Properly warmed also.Eggs cook well in both. Good size. Green salsa packs a kick so be ready for it.$4 per taco, so slightly pricy, but two is a meal. Bacon was a little fatty, but I liked it more than the chorizo, which is rare.Solid four stars. Will try again for non breakfast.

I've walked past this place several times while on my way to shop at Garden Seventeen and finally decided to stop and grab a bite.So glad I did! I got the pastor y nopales taco and it was EXCELLENT. The pork was moist and flavorful and the (optional) hot sauce on top was .Now that I know how good this place is I'll stop by even when I'm not shopping at the nursery. This was one of the best tacos I've had in town since moving here 10+ years ago.

This truck is not on my daily route, but it's conveniently located next to my favorite nursery (Garden 17), so I regularly pay them a visit when I shop for plants. Made to order, so not as fast as some places, but you get very good authentic Mexican tacos for it. The pastor is so far my favorite. Very flavorful, but that can be said about everything I tried there. For the rest, friendly people, and quite affordable.

This unassuming little red gem is barbacoa taco heaven to the T. Im born and raised in Austin and these are by far the best barbacoa tacos I've had living here! They remind me of family bbqs back in Mexico, the tacos transport your palette to another level: no fat, no grease, no BS! Did I mention she LOADS the tacos up with meat...These tacos are the bomb.com don't take my word for it and go try for yourselves! I've tried the top taco places on Yelp to my disappointment but this place is the real deal!!!

Listen...I don't get the allure of breakfast tacos. But, this morning my brain and my belly ignored that fact and I woke up craving the edible vehicle of potato and egg...and cheese. It turns out it is tough to decide which taco truck to take your business to, but fortunately my fellow yelpers were spot on about Anaya. Pros:Green salsa is "da bomb dot com"! Really it is tasty!Tacos are hefty, no skimping hereCome in a nifty little to-go packageThe ladies are lovelyCons:Umm...they weren't free? That's all I got. and I stood in the rain to get these. Oh, $5 for two potato/egg/cheese tacos. Pretty straight forward, right? No, I don't know if the were locally sourced, organic, non-gmo, pasture raised tacos...but I'm ok with that today (because of that salsa verde!).
