Taqueria Montenegro

I stop by to grab couple breakfast tacos. They were recommended by one of my students. Guess what they didn't disappoint me at all. Service was fast tacos were delicious and hot. They use real eggs in their tacos. The salsa verde is perfect. My only gripe they only take cash and they do not serve drinks. I will definitely be grabbing my breakfast tacos from here.

I really need to lower this score. It should probably be a 2 star max. Bacon, egg, cheese and grilled jalapeño taco was awful. It's the only thing I have tried but if they can't produce a classic taco then I'll pass. It also hit me pretty hard about 6 hours later... La Montaña across the street is phenomenal. Do yourself a favor and just go there. Btw, this place is cash only but there's an atm next door.

I have been going to this little hole in the wall for about five years and have been meaning to write a review. Their best attribute is the cheap tacos - most two-item breakfast tacos are $1.50. For the most part they have been pretty good - especially when you consider the price. However on my last two visits the tacos (or possibly the salsa?) were extremely salty! And I mean like they were salting the food and the top came off and dumped a ton of salt. The first time I just chalked it up to a mistake but after the second time (a couple of weeks later) - same thing. So salty that the food was inedible. Now I have to say the employees are always very nice - service is friendly and fairly quick. Unfortunately (or fortunately....read on) I have not been back due to the salt fiasco. But now I have found an incredible taquería right across the road.... Taquería La Montaña. Priced a little higher but still very reasonable...... and their food is incredible! Authentic, like you would get in Mexico. And, their salsa is out of this world.

Delicious tacos and reasonably priced!Love the fact that I can always call ahead to place my order then go pick up within 15 minutes. Yes, sometimes the line is busy(in the mornings) but they always answer the second time I call. My guess is they're busy taking orders. Its a small location so there isn't anywhere to sit, but great for on the go tacos. Would definitely recommend going!

The girl at the cash register was rude and charged me more for my food than the price listed on the menu. I bought one Egg and Potato and one Bean and Potato breakfast taco. Each taco was listed as $1.25 on the menu so the total should've been $2.50. She charged me $3.I called her out on it and she first gave me the excuse that I asked for extra salsa. I didn't. I asked for one salsa for each taco I ordered. I wouldn't say that's asking for "extra". After I told her that, she said the Bean and Potato was $1.50, but you can look at the menu and it obviously says $1.25. I told her that as well and she just reiterated in a rude tone that it was $1.50 even though I pointed out that their menu says differently. She didn't care. Even if it was $1.50, the total should've been $2.75 and not $3.I was planning to tip beforehand anyways so I didn't lose any extra money overall but I won't be going here again due to the rude customer service and them not honoring their prices on the menu. The food was fine but nothing special compared other taquerias in the area. I wouldn't have minded paying $1.50 for each taco either as long as that's what was listed on the menu, but I felt cheated by this experience.

This place is amazing! Tacos are delicious! I always get the barbacoa they are delicious! If you are eating some excellent tacos I highly recommend them! My father has tried the other foods and he also had said it's really good! Here is a picture of the menu!

I just love this place. I have been getting breakfast tacos here for many years. It has consistently, always, always been super fresh, quick and at a good price. I love ham on tacos for a ham, egg and cheese, and this place has the best. The tortillas super fresh and the corn, what I like, is super soft tacos, prepared perfectly.

Best Tacos for your Money any day even on Sundays for some good Menudo. BUT C'MON Squeeze some lime, a shake of salt, with their Salsa Verde on some Al Pastor & Fajita Tacos finely chopped up con cilantro y cebolla OMG! Ok, i'm back for 4 more de maiz por favor!

WTH?! Am I in Mexico? Why am I standing at the counter in this tiny hole in the wall ordering tacos?Dude, how much of that acid did you give me? There is no way their tacos are this cheap, HFS!I should be thinking about how im going to get home from Mexico but this taco is so damn good Im not even stressing!Wait... Im not in Mexico? The food is so good chicken and cheese is so good. The service is nice they treat you like a king. Just get your tacos go next door get a drink and your good. I go there tor breakfast and lunch, the food always pleases
