Coming from NY to Tx I had the expectation that I would come across the best tacos in the states.After trying many taco trucks and restaurants I was very disappointed,but my cravings didn't stop me from trying this spot and to my surprise it's very good ..While the flavors don't blow your mind,they are about right,texture on meat and tortilla is firm and the sauces make a huge difference.

The food was well spiced, nice and hot when I first got it! The service was ok, since they were in the food truck. The ambiance is very nice and quiet. Tip: It's an outside venue/food truck, so you would need to do street parking!

Yes another solid Birria taco spot...and not just that...they literally have a full Tex/Mex menu....including breakfast...coming out of this cool looking trailer. Service was very friendly, food came out pretty quick. They have 3 picnic benches to sit and chow. Birria tacos were tender...sauces were very good, but the queso fell short for the $$...chips were solid along with the salsa.

I stumbled upon Taqueria Fenix via Google Maps due to its 5 star rating with 50 reviews and agree that it deserves all five!The truck is open from 7 AM to 9 PM and they serve the full menu with breakfast tacos even in the evening. The staff was warm and friendly, answered all of our questions, and were delighted that we were pleased with our food.The menu is vast, including like 40 very intriguing ice pop flavors. I am a sucker for Birria tacos, so I got the plate which came with the consommé (you can also buy one individual taco with a side of it!). The tacos were the right amount of crispy paired with gooey cheese and the consomme was the perfect dipping temperature. The corn tortillas are made fresh and you have a choice of flour too. The server said the Fenix taco was the most popular and came with lots of vegetables, it was delicious! The guacamole was both fresh and sizable. I ordered an Agua Fresca too. It was cucumber, spinach, and mint -- both refreshing and huge.There are two tables for two in front of the truck and it sits in front of an art studio. There is a number of parking spots. It's fun to watch all of the people pick up their food and I imagine there's some good people watching on a day when the art studio is having one of their live drawing events.I will be back to work my way through this menu! Or just stuff my face with birria. YUM

Found this place just blocks from Armadillo Clay. It is amazing! Huge menu and the food was incredibly delicious! Worth the drive!

This is a food truck in the middle of an industrial neighborhood. I stumbled across it while walking home from a beer bar and craving some food.It was surprisingly good! I got a fish plate, which included a goodly portion of fish (not fried), with avocado and red cabbage, plus rice and beans. Simple, yes, but all nicely done and very tasty. Inexpensive, too. I hope to go back and check out their breakfasts.

Not a yelp guy but this place deserves a shoutout. Great customer services, which can be surprising for food trucks. Best of all the food was fresh and on point. Hidden gem back here on 5th

Restaurant quality! Reallyyy delicious, clean, and authentic mexican food. I got the barbacoa and steak tacos and both were larger portions than regular street tacos. I believe they make their own tortillas too! Will be back often!

Awesome mother and son taco truck! This place was DANK! MEXI-WOW! We will definitely be back. The jalepeno poblano salsa was my favorite but they were all really good salsas. Can't wait to go back and try more!
