This place opened just about 6 months ago. When my husband requested kebabs for his birthday treat, I discovered Tandoor online. We were both highly impressed. My husband ordered the mix platter and the kebabs were tender, well cooked, well flavored, and filling. I, being vegetarian, ordered their weekend special of aloo-Poori-Chana-halwa and had an excellent meal. My family is from Delhi and these flavors reminded me of visiting my grandmother growing up. The service was excellent and the ambiance is so cute. It felt like being in an upscale Dhaba. You have to order the tea while there - what a fun and unique presentation. And also, prices are so reasonable for the quantity and quality they are providing. 5 whole hearted stars and thank you to the owners for providing this excellent experience.

It's hard to review a cuisine that I've had so little exposure to, but Tandoor in Cedar Park left a strong impression. If authenticity is any indicator of quality, the fact that we were the only non-brown customers--in a restaurant that was packed by 7 PM on a weekday--is a promising sign.Tips:Ask the staff for recommendations; they're helpful in navigating the menu.Arrive early, as the restaurant fills up quickly. The Food:Mutton Karahi: My personal favorite of the night. It's not a curry but has a bit of a saucy consistency. The spices were well-balanced, offering a depth of flavor without being overly hot. A must-try for anyone visiting Tandoor.Biryani with Aloo: The rice was excellent, perfectly cooked, and flavorful. However, the chicken was a tad dry and not as well-spiced as I'd hoped. In this dish, the rice outshined the chicken.Garlic Naan: A pretty basic naan--not bad, but not particularly impressive. I would've preferred more garlic to enhance the flavor.Beef Nihari: This dish leaned more towards a curry, with a very spicy kick. My wife described it as stew-like, and while flavorful, the heat might be overwhelming for some.Mixed Grill Platter: This was my least favorite. While the meat's texture varied, one of the beef pieces had an overly tender, almost paste-like texture, which wasn't to my taste (nor the rest of our group). The sausage looked a bit too dried out, so I didn't try it. Final Thoughts: Overall, Tandoor delivers wonderful flavors and an authentic dining experience. The dishes have a variety of textures and spice levels, so there's something for everyone. While not every dish was perfect, the highlights like the Mutton Karahi make this a place I'd definitely return to when I'm in the mood for Pakistani cuisine, which shares many similarities with Indian cuisine.

What a total Gem of a place! So glad we have such an amazing authentic Pakistani restaurant right here in cedar park! The best Pakistani food I've had in a long time! It can give bundu khan a run for its money, yes it's that good! The Bihari kabab and the beef sheekh kabab were to die for! The Bihari kabob literally melts in your mouth! Even something as simple as a dal was so good and flavorful that It made me warm all over! They give it ina burner so it stays piping hot, just the way I like my food, I want it hot and they serve it so it stays hot!!!The service is amazing. They went above and beyond to cater to our daughter who couldn't eat spicy! So kind and sweet servers! The ambiance is great! For a change we have an Indian restaurant that has great food and great ambience! They actually cared to make it pretty! Love the decor! Can't wait to try more items! Please don't change! We loved the food!

Food was a slam dunk. Came here for Indian food that's healthy. Got white basmati rice and chicken Bihari boti which is bbq and marinated chicken breast chucks.Flavorful and succulent with good tenderness. Along with the chutney supplied to me (I think one is yogurt cilantro and one is tamarind, the meal was scrumptious. Service was quick and professional as well as friendly. Ambiance was relaxed and airy for a weekday lunch. I'll definitely be back!

We tried their soft open menu and ordered the Dahi Puri, Chicken Biryani, Mixed Grill Platter, and the obligatory Mango Lassi. The Dahi Puri description mentioned potatoes, but it felt more like chickpeas--either way, they were pretty tasty. Personally, I prefer a different style from another region, but these were enjoyable. The Chicken Biryani was fantastic--Pakistani-style but with potatoes, which really elevated the flavors. As any Bengali will tell you, the potatoes make the biryani and they are not wrong! The Mixed Grill Platter was also well done. My favorite was the Beef Bihari Kabab, with its paste-like texture. The Chicken Malai Boti was soft and creamy, while the Chicken Tikka was marinated as expected. I do wish the platter came with at least two naan or parathas, instead of having to buy them separately. The Mango Lassi was delicious, though I only managed to get one sip before my kid claimed the rest! One suggestion would be to offer more kid-friendly items, as most of the regular menu options are a bit too spicy for the little ones.Price-wise, it came out to around $28 per person with tax and tips. The service was attentive and checked in for feedback throughout the meal, which I appreciated. There's some Instagram-worthy decor giving off a cool chic vibe. I'll definitely be coming back to try other items and, of course, have the biryani again! For those with dietary restrictions, all meats are halal.

Good Pakistani food !! We tried their BBQ mixed platter and paneer tikka and loved it. Their lassi and mango mint lemonade is on the sweeter side and could have more flavor than sugar. We also tried their chicken korma and liked the way they serve with small fire pit. Kept it boiling hot for people who love to eat very hot food. Pandu chaat was just okay . Their menu has fewer dishes but we liked what we tried. Overall it was good and I recommend!!

Ordered online for pick up. Got 2 different mix grill platter. Few things to note -- even thought it is two different order they package it together into one container. So be careful when you order and people have certain food allergies or food they do not like cause they seem to pack similar food together. Another thing -- usually at other similar restaurant this would come with rice and sides. Well this does not and it doesn't mention that. So for the same price at other restaurant you are not getting the same value. The chicken was probably the best part of this. As the rest of the meats were very dry and hard to shallow. The restaurant itself is small. The wait staff is still unfamiliar with all the kitchen works from the look of it when I asked the wait staff questions when I picked up my food.

This is my first time trying Pakistani cuisine and it was amazing! My friend had recommended this place as the most authentic Pakistani food in Austin. It's a bit far when we actually live in Austin but we made the drive to Ceder Park cause my friend wouldn't stop raving about it. We came on a Tuesday night and there was plenty of seating. We ordered appetizers and entrees in family style so we can all try different things. Everything we tried was amazing and I'm not gonna try to butcher the name of dishes here. My favorite was the mutton curry. So yummy!!! The total came out to be about $35 per person when split among the three of us. I highly recommend this place for anyone who's interested in checking out Pakistani food or just good food in general.

So excited that finally we got an authentic Pakistani restaurant in Austin area and it definitely did not disappoint! Meal was delicious and perfect. Favorite was mutton karahi. Right amount of spice, not overpowering and not too spicy therefore made the dish very enjoyable. Shahi chicken korma was authentic tasting as well. Kheer and mango lemonade was very good as well. Great ambience and customer service. Would definitely come back with family and friends next time. The way they present the tea is super cute!

great food! We really enjoyed it. It's very similar to Bundu Khan Kebab House in Houston (for those who are familiar with the restaurant). The only feedback I have is they don't have chicken sheekh kebab on their menu. I wish they add that. Other than that Great experience.
