Tân My is in the top 5 best restaurants that Austin has to offer. Their food is always outstanding, never a miss. I first learned about this restaurant from a Lyft driver who was sharing his favorite Vietnamese food in Austin and Round Rock, and he said Tân My was the best and most authentic. He was not wrong! I have never dined in, so I always order to-go via phone. It is the place my partner and I order takeout the most from because the food is always delicious with ample portions that means two meals (dinner plus dinner or lunch the next day). There are multiple comfortable tables inside for those who prefer to dine-in.My favorites are the 55C crispy noodles (I get mine with just shrimp but it comes with chicken and beef for meat-eaters), 47 shrimp vermicelli with lemongrass, and 29 egg noodle soup with shrimp. The crispy noodles are thick and fried together in truly the most delicious sauce ever with fresh vegetables. My family has also loved their chicken fried rice and their rice noodle soup with chicken. Amy and David are wonderful siblings who often answer the phones and check you out, and the full family and all the staff are welcoming and make delicious food. They genuinely make you feel at home in the restaurant, and their food is a nurturing gift. They are currently closed on Sundays, so just plan ahead for your lunch or dinner. Tân My is an absolute Austin treasure. Order or stop by to be delighted today!

One of my favorite places! It's a quaint place with great service! The food is amazing whether you get the pho, bun, rice or appetizers. It is a popular place so there may be a line, but it goes quickly. We ordered the Vietnamese spring rolls and pho. Both are so flavorful and come out hot and quickly! When I get my pho craving, I'll make the trip up north.

This restaurant gives us an authentic Vietnamese resto vibe. Small and fully packed most of the time. Everyone is extremely nice. Service is fast and efficient. There were some hits and misses:Pho (briskets and rare beef): 4/5. Overall, noodle was cooked perfectly and a size Large has plenty of meat. The soup was decent ( a bit on a salty side for us but it's just because it made catered to the large audience who prefer saltier broth). We just use extra lime to balance the flavor.Bun Bo Hue: 4.5/5. I loved it. Got a kick but not too spicy. Hubby who doesn't eat spicy had a little bit but didn't drink the soup. He too enjoyed it. Comes with pig knuckles and pork blood. You don't get that at a lot of places. Flavor is on point. Too bad they did not give me the veggies that usually comes with the dish which makes me a little disappointed. I had to ask and they gave me the purple cabbage without any other condiments. They don't have the right chilli paste that is typically served with this dish but it's quite authentic approach so I did not expect.Pho Ap Chao: 3.5/5 it's decent, not the best we've had but it did satisfy our cravings so it was a win. The panfried noodle waa made crispy but wasn't hard. Grilled pork and egg roll Vermicelli: 2.5/5 - very disappointed on this one. We bought this one to-go as it was one of the items recommended but we didn't have enough room in our belly to eat in, hence we ordered to go. The meat was burnt and completely dried up when we got home and opened the package. The egg roll was good but nothing to rave about. Overall, after hearing everyone rave about this place, we felt underwhelmed after trying it. It may be awhile before we decide to come back here but I would come back for BBH if need my BBH fix though!

Not a repeat for us. Dishes are overly stuffed with noodles, rice. Pho broth is a little bland and peanut sauce is a bit off. Really awesome service.

The 55c Hu Tieu Xeo is large pieces of clustered rice noodle and is delicious. It's even better in person. Everything we had was fantastic. Ordered at 6:10 PM on a Thursday eveningAll food on the table by 6:22 PMOrder to Table = less than 15 minutes!

I haven't been here in a while. It's 1:00 pm and it's bustling here. I had the vermicelli with charbroiled pork and egg rolls and my hubby had the pho with rare steak. My dish was loaded with delicious pork and the equivalent of two egg rolls cut into bite sized chunks. The dish includes onions, bean sprouts, iceberg lettuce, crushed peanuts, and of course the vermicelli noodles. Everything was delicious. I tasted the broth from my hubby's pho. It's some of the best I've tasted. Make sure to request the pickled jalapeños. They are house made and very tasty.

I met a former colleague for lunch here today at her suggestion. I haven't been here for years and luckily we got there just before the lunch rush and didn't have to wait in line to get a seat. I need to remember to come back more often. I had forgotten how good and fresh the food was here! They do a great job getting folks a spot and serving folks quickly. The dishes are a good size so it's always nice to be able to take leftovers home. I always get confused when choosing between pho's so when my friend got her typical vermicelli with curry sauce I got the same. It was really good! The spring rolls were good too. The peanut sauce was different than I'm used to so I probably should have tried it with some other sauces they had on the table. I look forward to going back again soon!

This is a family-owned business. We got the Bun Bo Hue/spicy beef soup ($15) and Bun Thit Nuong/vermicelli with grilled pork ($15). The Bun Bo Hue had a nice variety of meat, but I liked the Bun Thit Nuong even more! The grilled pork was so flavorful. The fish sauce flavoring was light and refreshing. I liked the texture of the dried but partially soaked in the sauce noodles. We went on a Saturday mid-day and got seated immediately! Service was fast, friendly, and accurate.

Incredible! Best Pho in Austin by a mile- haven't found another spot like it. Owner is from Vietnam and really knows how to cook authentic pho and Bun Bo Hue! Service is good but this place gets BUSY on weekends- plan ahead for a wait. Ambiance is nice, its very much a local gem. Large parking lot so easy to get to and park too
