I like this location a lot. The food always comes out hot and fresh. No matter how busy they are, the wait isn't long at all.Also, gotta give props to the margs.It's all about the margs! The horchata swirl is everything. So good.PS: daily specials are back so YAY!

Found Tacodeli when looking for a lunch location to meet my wife during her conference at the convention center. I had looked on yelp to see if I could find a place with good tacos. Fortunately for me, today's special were the brisket tacos. I got the blue plate special which was two tacos of any kind with beans and rice. I got a barria taco and a brisket El Rey. The brisket taco was loaded with juicy shredded brisket and crunchy bacon. Delicious! The birria taco was just as good and came with extra dipping sauce. Overall a great place for some great tacos. To top it off, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed Tacodeli.

Go to stop for soft shell tacos if you're in Austin. My favorite is the Cowboy, which is beef with guacamole. The barbacoa is quite good as well. Seating is limited but spots always seem to open up just in time

It's a local chain but it hits the spot. A great variety of breakfast tacos, lunch tacos and pretty much tacos for anytime of the day. I stopped in during the SXSW Conference & Festival. It stays busy but the ingredients are fresh, tasty and the crew is nice. The restaurant is spacious with ample seating, you can get your food to stay or go. No dish-ware or reusable glasses but the order is served in a plastic basket versus a to-go bag. The coffee was hot and they have a sauce bar with verde (mild), medium and hot toppings. I didn't have time to go back but it's a great way to start the day in ATX.

I've seen Tacodeli around town a few times since they seem to supply a lot of local coffee shops with their breakfast tacos and they seem to sell out pretty quickly. It made me wonder if in a town full of tacos and breakfast tacos especially if it was really good or if they managed to just corner the market somehow.Fortunately, my team decided to go out for lunch and Tacodeli was mentioned as an option. I hadn't eaten breakfast but had them elsewhere and it was a team lunch anyway so I ended up getting the lunch and dinner tacos. I was hungry and decided to try one of each protein; I decided to try every one of their protein options...I was also pretty hungry after skipping breakfast. On top of that their soda fountain was Maine sodas, the cane sugar soda company. Their tacos aren't the most authentic but tasty. I'm a fan of Ko-Mex fusion and their tacos kind of reminded me of a Modern American-Mexican fusion. The Picosito was my favorite, the cubed tenderloin had a nice texture and it paired well with the Shrimposito, basically it was surf and turf. The chicken and pork were just the icing on the cake for me.

I started my day over at Houndstooth and saw they offered Tacodeli breakfast but I figured I could get them fresh from Tacodeli and wanted to take a walk anyways. They have online ordering and pickup was simple. Indoor and outdoor seating. I was looking to order some non-breakfast tacos but they only serve those after 11 it seems like. Frontera Fundido Sirloin - this was so good, the sirloin was extremely tender and juicy. Flavorful too. Every bite had a hefty piece of flavor packed sirloin, balanced throughout. I'd come back to order multiple.Chorizo, Egg & Cheese - on the other hand I probably would skip this in the future. Egg and cheese breakfast taco is solid but the chorizo wasn't too evident. At first glance it looked decently proportional but each bite was egg heavy, which is fine, but after having the sirloin, I was slightly disappointed. The sirloin raised all expectations and set the standard high.

Breakfast tacos were amazing! Especially liked the tortillas. Chorizo was my favorite. Coffee was surprisingly tasty as well. This was our first time at this Austin favorite.

Not "authentic" Mexican tacos, but delicious and wholesome tacos nonetheless. I love concepts like these. So many tacos to try, different protein options, and great portions.I had the Vegetarian "The Heather" and it was great. Whole wheat, corn, and flour options for tortilla.

A pretty decent menu with plenty of options. Vegetarian as well as a selection of meats. Everything was clearly marked and they were happy to answer questions. And it's very reasonable. It's an order at the counter, they bring it out situation. The restaurant is nice, not too far from lady bird lake. The food is great. Very tasty. Though perhaps it tends to be a little on the spicy side. But you can certainly talk to the staff if you want to try and tone that down If there was one near me, I'd probably go so often I'd get tired of it.
