Taco Joint

The location is pretty great, it's nice to find a spot to eat In the area where parking isn't an issue. We went on Austin's 2025 snow day, they were open and had salted their lot and the ramp into the store. Unfortunately their heat was broken in the store that day and their poor employees looked like they were freezing in full coats. But they were friendly, the food was warm, and the service was quick. I had their chorizo and egg taco and a barbacoa taco. Both were very big and tasted great. I paired it with their habanero salsa and their avocado salsa. Neither were very spicy but had good flavor. This place is VERY casual, but a great lunch spot.

My favorite taco is El Senior Crockett especially with the chipotle, avocado, and habanero salsa; though I always order all the salsas to play with my food They're very fast too! Even if it's busy! One of my favorite taco spots. Hole in the wall but still pretty spacious with two outdoor spots and indoor as well. Also to note: My friend ordered the pork torta and said he really liked it.

So many to choose from and this business is vegan friendly. I decided to get the Torta Ale to try something different. Wholly!!!! The dish was flavorful, had texture, and love the fresh ingredients. The chipotle salsa pared very well, and the avocado salsa adds the right amount of spice. I definitely will return back here to try different dishes.

Every time I head towards downtown, I spot this restaurant in the corner of my eye as I drive past East Riverside, and today was finally the day I decided to try the restaurant out! As I looked at the menu, I was pleasantly surprised that the prices weren't overpriced because I initially expected higher prices with the restaurant located right by the Congress bridge. Besides a plethora of taco options, we decided to order both the Cheesesteak & Queso Sandwich (their version of the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich) and the Loaded Nachos. Both options were delicious and heavy, just like the way we expected them to be! They provided generous portions for each dish, including the tacos, so be prepared to fall into a food coma if you decide to eat here haha. There's a decent amount of both indoor and outdoor seating, AND they have a private parking lot -- which goes a long way when you're in the downtown area. We'll definitely be back again!

Perfect spot for a quick bite. They have a fairly large patio if you'd like to sit outside or take it to go. They get pretty busy on the weekends.This day we sat outside to enjoy our meal. My go to is usually the Street Taco. It was was good, but I feel like the taco's used to be larger. Queso is on point. Decided to try and Enchilada Fries and they were pretty tasty! Also can't forget to pair it with a Mexican Coke :) Also if you like spicy try their Habanero Salsa.

We stayed at an overpriced hotel to see the eclipse and I couldn't wait to stretch our legs and have authentic tacos. They were so heavenly, we ate there at least once a day. They have a great selection and serve them up super fast. We never got tired of the menu! Lots of great outdoor spots to eat with hungry birds watching your every bite, waiting for your scraps. Highly recommended!

We were looking for good tacos, we found good tacos! Just enough choices to choose from. The pork was incredible, and the fam truly enjoyed the steak tacos as well. The green salsa was my favorite. Tacos are huge, 2 tacos are perfectly filling. It's a cute counter service location and you can eat in or outside. Delicious!

The size of these tacos were impressive. It felt like they put 3 eggs in each taco. I had a big appetite and 3 was very very filling for me. The potato and egg was not my favorite since it was tatertots rather than potato potato. chorizo was delicious and the bacon was good. We sat outside and it was clean. I would come again!

Stopped here as part of the Austin Breakfast Taco Tour with Jax, and this was place was the best of them all. Tacos on their homemade flour tortillas were delicious, especially the grilled fish taco, cooked to perfection. Steak and egg taco was pretty good and paired nicely with their habanero hot sauce. Their chips were crispy and super fresh. Gave us a ton of chips so have plenty for leftovers. They have a lot of covered patio seating, and it was really nice sitting out there with some good weather. I'll be back.
