Taco Joint

It's a little inconvenient to drive to campus and find a parking spot in the area. But if you're already on campus, this is such a great spot! Tacos are pretty cheap for their size and so so delicious! Their sauces are amazing too.

Came from a recommendation from a friend saying their sauces are amazing! Not too packed at lunch time on a Friday but people were constantly coming and going. You order at the counter and they call your number to come pick it up. Overall I thought the portions were well worth the price! And the sauce did live up to the hype. I got the chipotle and avocado.Fish Taco - cooked well. nice texture. one of the better fish tacos i had for sure. 8.2/10Street taco - basically a steak taco. was really surprised how much i liked this. meat was seasoned well. the cheese complimented it well. avocado was fresh. 8.6/10Breakfast taco - egg sausage and cheese. not much else to say. most breakfast taco leave me yearning for more but the portion like i said was more than i expected. 8.4/10Marg- good. 10/10

I still think my original review, an ode to my friend Juan, is one of the most beautiful reviews I've written. This update is a chaotic one. After the wildest night of my life that culminated in me getting left on the side of the road at 4:30am and locked out of my friend's apartment, I decided to treat myself to breakfast tacos at Taco Joint.I got two potato, egg, and cheese tacos, and one chorizo and egg taco. The potato, egg, and cheese tacos were very loaded and soooo good. I thought the three tacos were somewhat pricey at $11.64 total, but I was full after two, so I think I will just get two in the future. It is so tragic this location near campus is not open on Sundays.

A jam packed small taco restaurant who specializes in breakfast tacos. If you want some cheap tacos filled with A LOT of eggs and filling, this is your spot. I ordered 3 tacos but man, it was hard to breathe when I got to my third taco. The sizes of the tacos are HUGE and definitely a bang for your buck. There is always a line, no matter when you go but service is quick and the lines move fairly quickly. I love sitting on their outdoor patio when the weather is nice out. The location is central and easy to get to. I love coming here for a late brunch on the weekends after I workout around the trails and zilker

This is one of my favorite places to get tacos in Austin Texas. I know have been to both of their locations and it's safe to safe I am a fan I think spot is in my rotation when I come to Austin. Food: my go to taco is their beef fajita. My god, I am not sure how the season it but it's the best I've ever had. So much flavor and very tender. The breakfast taco that I always get is: bacon, egg, cheese and potato. So good and full of flavor. Their tacos are huge here! Yuge! 2-3 tacos from here and you will be stuffed for hours. This is my go to spot along with the other Location. We will be back soon.

good flavored tacos close to the engineering side of the ut campus. close place to walk when wanting a quick food spot. pretty cheap priced compared to most taco places. loved the el senior crockett, very cheesy and flavorful. service is friendly and fast, ordering process is very speedy. no ut student discount

Fabulous.. just fabulous... this is the best place for tacos on the planet earth. It is so delicious and it came out quickly. My friends are happy about it too what they ate. Thank you taco joint

Solid service and decent Mexican food & tacos. I got the fried fish taco ($4.75), the steak, egg, and cheese taco (4.50$), and the enchilada fires with chicken (9.50$). The fried fish taco was decent. The steak,egg, and cheese taco was very good and was easily my favorite item. The enchiladas fries with chicken was very underwhelming and not worth it at all. I paid 3$ for chicken and got a small side of chicken added and was told that there nothing that could be done to possibly give me more to make up for small amount.. The two sauces I got for my tacos were the chipotle and the honey habanero. The chipotle sauce was pretty good but the honey habanero was too hot and wasn't for me.All in all, it was a decent Mexican experience but nothing very memorable besides the breakfast steak n cheese taco.

Amazing food, prompt and kind service always, and it's a very cozy atmosphere. Don't expect to be wined and dined. You're here for the great and freshly made food. Despite that, the workers here are like family and they treat everyone very kindly.

TJ will always be a go-to & great for taking people visiting Austin. Their tacos are divine, I love their chips, and their horchata is bomb. My go-to's are the street and fried fish tacos. Having the online order function is super helpful also. Though parking and seating can be tough during busy hours like the weekend, I've eventually been able to find a spot. Will be back soon!
