Taco Baby

Strategically places at the head of Rainey street, these guys were built for the demand of a late night meal after an evening out. I had a friend in town who wanted to try as many different tacos as they possibly could while they were here and this ended up ranking as one of the best. This was my first time trying it and I was genuinely impressed as well. I don't know what's in these sauces but I need it in my kitchen.

Don't come here expecting classic carnitas de maciza cause - as Carlos Santana will tell you - "she's not there." Born in Mexico City, I'm a conceited snob when it comes to carnitas tacos but I'm always on the lookout for new zeniths on the taco horizon. Oh baby, Taco Baby delivered so deliciously. One Piggy Smalls taco and I am a convert. The Piggy Smalls tacos have several textures and temperatures going for them. There's the crisp of the skin, the deep mellowness of the slow roasted pork rib, but also the near-brisket quality of the moist, fatty belly. In Mexico, we call this mix "achicalada." These are all served on a warm corn tortilla with... wait for it... ICEBERG lettuce. OMG, what the heck?! Infamy, by Mexican standards. But, oh... Fabulous Crunch! They add a green sauce, which I didn't find to be spicy, so I squeezed a lot of their garlic jalapeno sauce on this beauty. There's onion and cilantro and even a little chopped tomato, too. And then I took a bite. I rolled my eyes. And almost fell to my knees with pleasure.

Lemonade is perfect with the heat outside. Authentic tacos baby. I enjoyed the vibe. Great hot sauces. Would def recommend and will be returning if ever in the area again

Awesome service and would come back in the future. Best tacos in the city and this place would get my future services 1000 times over.

Taco Baby set up in the parking lot of my apartment, which was awesome, especially during quarantine when it's such a chore to get good food. The tacos are delicious! I got chicken and beef fajita, which is nothing like your typical fajita meat. The meat was stewed in the perfect mix of spices and was just the right texture. Also, the black beans were fantastic and were well-seasoned.My complaint lies with the plain, steamed white rice and cheap, store bought chips. When mixed with the beans, the rice wasn't terrible, but I guess I misread the menu and expected to have your typical Mexican-style rice. And the chips... don't get me started. For the meat to be so perfect, I really wish the chips were at least better quality even if they are store bought. These are the thick, round yellow corn chips you find in Lunchables. Next time I will only purchase tacos because they were well worth the visit. The staff was friendly and the convenience was much appreciated, so overall I enjoyed my experience.

Piggy smalls y'all! So good. Wasn't expecting it to be so flavorful. Absolutely delicious!!

We went here for breakfast on the weekend as we were looking for a different breakfast taco location. I was extremely surprised at the length of the wait for this place. The tacos at this place had no flavor. We ordered 3 tacos. The veggie, bean and egg, and egg and meat. The only decent one was the veggie one and it was still sub par... the beans tasted like can beans and the egg was just fried and put in there, no added flavor at all. The service was not good, the food definitely was not good, and the wait was way to long for what you got. If you are looking for good tacos, there are way more in town than here. May return to try out their lunch or dinner options, but the breakfast tacos, will not be trying again.

Simply delicious. Ordered the Piggy Smalls and my goodness- generous amount of pork and the flavors came together very well. I highly recommend this taco truck! Solid food truck.

Came here for a breakfast taco and they are HEARTY. We had our dog with us and they put extra bacon on the side for her, which was fantastic. Great food, great staff, great time.

I had a pair of the chicken fajita tacos while attending the Family Business brewery (delicious beer, btw). Each of my chicken fajita tacos were $5 - the most expensive single taco I have ever purchased outside of a fancy restaurant. Based on the price, I was expecting a delicious taco, but I was horribly disappointed. I found more flavor in the bottle of water I was drinking alongside the tacos. I truly wanted this to be a pleasant experience, but it simply wasn't. My friends and I went to Taco Bell afterward, and THAT was a more flavorful experience....TLDR - simultaneously the most expensive taco I have ever purchased while being the worst taco I have ever purchased
