Went here for the first time a few months ago when visiting . Was back in town today and knew I needed to grab lunch before heading back home . Food was amazing , service was even better . The guy at the counter talked to me about the origin of the name , the buns , where the hot dog came from , and then brought it out to my car. hot and fresh . They obviously take a lot of pride in their company . I will go back every time i visit austin ! i don't even like hot dogs , but i crave this !

When is a hot dog magic? Perhaps when you're at Grays Papaya in NYC. Maybe when you take the first bite of a chili dog at Pinks in Los Angeles at 2am. And definitely when you roll up to T-Locs in Austin at 1PM on a Tuesday afternoon. I'd been reading about T-locs for quite a while, but when it hit, yet another "best of" list, I made a point of visiting with a friend this week. Wanting to go for the full experience I ordered the Sonoran hot dog with the Hebrew National upgrade. Let me preface this by saying I am deeply cynical of bacon wrapped hot dogs. Every single one I've ever eaten (including those outside the LA coliseum) has always tasted like a hot dog and some bacon too. The magic I found at T-loc was the way they fused together every single ingredient into glorious bites of hot dog perfection. Was I afraid all of the ingredients would spill out into a mess I'd be scooping up with a fork? You bet! Did that happen? Miraculously no. Every bite stayed intact and delicious. Along the hot dogs we ordered an out of this world perfectly crispy chicken quesadilla. Quesadillas are all over the place but getting that perfect ratio of char and crispiness, accompanied by some great guacamole really elevated the dish. Food aside, one of my favorite parts of this lunch was Miguel,, who not only came to check on us as we waited and were eating, but graciously sat down with us to tell us about the business and the story of T-Locs. We enjoyed his company as much as the dining. T-Locs was previously located at the Q2 Stadium but has relocated to a Burnett food truck court which now has another banger of a restaurant. There's plenty of seating in a relaxing environment with a nice selection of music. There are many great ways to spend an afternoon in Austin, and lunch at T-Locs with a great friend, Miguel and his food is high on the list. Can't wait to go back and try the ranch fries and burritos. If they can nail the quesadilla and hot dog to perfection I'm sure everything's worth a try.

Finally was able to make it back out to T-Loc's! This food truck is a unique food concept you probably won't find many similar like it in Austin. The staff is very friendly, they do speak Spanish, so vengase a comer! I went on a Saturday night, there wasn't a wait so they attended us very quickly, it was raining so we ate in the car but they have plenty of seating area available for their guests. The have a few selections of cold drinks, the have agua frescas available but they did run out when I went. The Yaqui dog comes with the sausage wrapped in bacon, with beans, carne asada and Monterrey jack cheese. It does come with a onions and a jalapeño sauce, we opted for it on the side but we didn't get the sauce :( IMO the carne asada was chewy and could've used a bit more flavor. Do recommend but just keep that in mind, I've tried it before and it was much better so might depend on the day. Would say 4.5/5 for this one. The Sonora dip is a sausage wrapped in bacon with birria meat, Monterrey jack cheese topped with cilantro and a chile sauce (unsure what kind) with a side of consume to dip your hot dog in. It comes with onion as well but I opted out. Very good flavor, by itself the dog gives taco vibes which is really good you can taste more of the cilantro. When dipped in the consume, it gives it more of the consume flavor like a caldo, takes away the flavor of the cilantro and taco type flavor. Overall very very good. For both dogs it was roughly $21 (without tip), we paid $8 for drinks, total was roughly $37, but don't forget to TIP them, they are hard working and provide amazing customer service.

Food came out fast and it was so tasteful and delicious. The hotdog was juicy, the bread was fresh, and the toppings just had an amazing explosion of taste. We got 3 different hotdogs and we all loved what we picked.

Good food, definitely a must try for all hot dog lovers. Went there after seeing reviews on yelp and I am glad I did. We tried 2 different hotdogs and both of them were very yum. The server was nice and explained in detail. The bread for hotdogs is shipped from Sarona, Arizona and definitely tastes delicious.

The sonora hot dog can do no wrong...especially if you go $1 more for the Hebrew National glizzy. They're always friendly and the craving for these hot dogs are real.I don't know when they stopped doing the perfectly grilled jalapeño/serrano though. That was always one of my favorite things about this food truck, but the duros were nice--Made me miss the Mexican food cart guys that sold duros in a huge bag covered in Valentino hot sauce that seem to be no where in Austin. The food truck park off of Burnet seems to have a lot more seating and shade than I remember. Still plenty of solid food trucks here and I hope this place stays for a very long time

Hot dog -T-Loc's is AMAZING! I love trying food in new, exciting forms. I never would have tried beans on my hot dog otherwise, and let me tell you, it's a game changer! The fries with aioli were perfectly sauced with just a touch of spice. My husband devoured his La Sonora and practically drank the consome. Aside from the tantalizing food, the service is next level. The woman who took our order overheard my 4 year old who would have preferred his fries sans sauce and was trying to wipe his fries off. She brought him out a small side of plain fries and ketchup out of the kindness of her heart. It's that kind of service that really sets a business apart! If you're in Austin, park your car at this food truck park and try some amazing, authentic, out-of-the-box hot dogs!

We had a great experience here! Not only was everything we ordered delicious, but the owner was super nice and helpful. He went through the menu with us and told us about how they ship their bread from a bakery in Tucson (and it was exceptional).
