While in downtown Austin waiting for a concert to start we decided to grab a bite to eat at Swifts Attic. This is a trendy lofted restaurant bar that offers delicious foods and an intimate dining experienceI loved the interior look of the bar and restaurant. The space had plenty of seating, the decor was appealing, and it felt like an elevated dining experience Our server was phenomenal. She offered great suggestions, brought the food and check in a timely manner, and made sure our waters were always topped offThe both the food and drink menus offer a variety of fine dining options with a twist. Some of the items sound bizarre like charred edamame with pop rocks, but it's all delicious Some tips:Consider order a variety of small plates and share them. Each small plate has enough bites to accommodate a party of at least 4-5 (so everyone gets a taste). The edamame, sirloin rolls, short ribs, and shrimp & grits were a must have. One selection that sounded intriguing in concept but failed in execution was the Ice Ball Cocktails. Essentially, these classic cocktails have most of the non alcoholic components frozen in a cocktail ice sphere, and the base alcohol is chilled by it. But the problem is this orb melts slowly, so, you drink the alcoholic and are left with an eventual slush of other ingredients Cheers!

Yummy and curated menu at a great location downtown. Parking - typical downtown parking, best bet is to find a nearby parking garage. Was lucky enough to be able to park at my office nearby. Ambiance - lovedddd the interior of this place. Moody and the decor was great but not too dark or anything like that. Service - Our waiter was great but service was a bit slow. We were there 7pm on a Friday night and they did seem busy, and my group had fun chatting away, but it did seem to take a while to put in our orders, get our drinks and get our check. The food did come out fast and was appropriately paced.Food - Delicious! They recommend you get a handful of plates to share for the table. The falafel was one of the best I've had and their fries with egg was delicious! Brussel sprouts were perfect (when are they not?!) and I also enjoyed the bok choy. They also have a seasonal and normal expansive cocktail menu - creative and fun names.

I've been here a handful of times over the yeras and most recently last week after listening to my good friend, Sarah Sharp, sing at Elephant Room located just below Swift's Attic. We were able to be seated quickly (party of 5). Our waitress was very helpful in advising us what items to try. Everything was really good. My other good friend and I, who had been there before, got the 1984 cocktail, which is yummy. And we loved the bacon wrapped apricots. The beet item was not what we were expecting so likely wouldn't order that again. The shrimp & grits, sushi roll, and fries were great. I think we ended up ordering two orders of the fries!

Cool spot for tapas! I came for my birthday with friends and the food was delicious. Every dish had such great flavors and was so unique. Our waitress was very kind too and even brought me a free drink since she gave me a free drink for my birthday and for a wait. She also brought out a birthday dessert (but we had to pay for it which was kind of strange). Overall great time and ambiance!

This is my fourth visit to this great restaurant. The bar is a great place for just drinks. They make a mean espresso martini. The food is very well prepared and tasty, as well as eclectic Great shared plate options. Good for Vegan/Vegetarian/Omnivores. The iceball cocktails are refillable and so tasty. I live the big round table in a pedestal in the back under an antique chandelier. It's in the second floor above The Elephant Room. Great place to do a whole evening in one building! Easy access to many places downtown from there. One of a kind and worth repeating.

Amazing food, incredible drinks, wonderful service. We had the bacon-wrapped apricots, the gem salad, the short rib, and the delish churro dessert. I'd go back again and again!

I recently visited this place with a friend. We found a last min reservation, at. 9:45. Initially when we were greeted by the host, she wasnt sure if the kitchen was even open - but since we had made the reservation - I guess they made an exception. A huge plus point that I'd give this place is that they have vegan options, and I mean optionsss not just one option or an expensive salad. I've avoided such places that looked like hole in the wall things, assuming they'd anyway not have anything catering to my needs - oh was I wrong.Second, the food actually is really decent and creative. The ambiance is very pleasant. It's location is of course perfect if you want to have a night out in the town or enjoy some jazz downstairs. Check it out..

The food here is quite good. An eclectic take on comfort food they do a great job of mixing and matching various flavors to create some tasty dishes. The menu changes based on locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. Best thing to do is try 3-4 dishes and share. The variety of flavors is quite good. Really enjoyed the crab cakes as well as the beef rib. Delicious. Service was professional and friendly. The ambiance is fantastic. It's a unique decor that has a really nice homey vibe.

Eclectic, and quirky in a subtle manner, that's Swift's Attic. Look for the motif of creativity fused with eccentricity. After you climb to the top of the stairwell and enter the place, the portraits on the walls of birds dressed in suits will prep you for this. With this restaurant two stories atop the subterranean live jazz icon The Elephant Room, Swift's dates back to around 2012 or so. Decently old and certainly established by Austin standards. It's outlived so many great venues most likely for two reasons. The place itself is intriguing in that eccentric way, leading to an experience that pleases the imagination, and the food is eclectic and delicious. Peruse the menu and you'll identify that eccentricity in mere seconds. From the names of dishes, to their descriptions, to the inventive combination of ingredients. In that way, this Austin standby preserves the spirit of Old Austin. It seems to draw tourists, conventioneers, but perhaps even more devoted locals. It's worth a visit!

All of the food was fantastic and they have an impressive bourbon selection. Our server was great explaining everything and checking prices of different pours. Good vibes, all around a great night. Will definitely be coming back!
