(Little) Swedish Hill is a solid spot for pastries and coffee, though the experience can be a bit inconsistent.Their pastries are excellent--my favorites are the almond and chocolate croissants, both rich and flaky. The everything bagel is also a standout, packed with seeds and flavor. It comes with a spread, and I highly recommend the jalapeño cream cheese for an extra kick. The coffee is hit-or-miss. Lattes are consistently creamy and smooth, but the dirty chai was disappointing--the chai flavor was weak, and the drink felt watered down. I'll have to give it another shot before making a final judgment.A major downside is the seating and parking. Inside, there are no tables, just a few stools along a window counter. Outside, there are a handful of tables, but they fill up quickly. Parking is also limited--there are five spots in front, but otherwise, it's street parking only. I'm hoping they find a bigger space soon, ideally with better seating and parking. That said, the service is always kind, and while the prices are on the high end, the food is worth it. Just plan accordingly if you want to sit and stay awhile.

Parking is tough. Employees are very nice, but service is slow. It took about 20 minutes for my friend to get her granola fruit yogurt. The hot matcha was good. I was disappointed in the bagel and cream cheese situation since it was pricey for what it was, they just gave me a toasted bagel with plain cream cheese on the side for me to spread myself. There's really no seating inside, so not the best place to sit and enjoy your food.

Swedish Hill was highly recommended to me, so I was so excited to try! I got the ham and cheese croissant. It was okay, but nothing to rave about. I wish there was more cheese. I would go again and try something different, as they had a lot of cool options. The line was long, so be prepared to wait a little bit. The employees were very nice and patient.Swedish Hill is a great place to eat outside. They have lots of seating outside (on the side of the restaurant and behind it a couple feet down). The vibes were immaculate on a beautiful sunny day!

Consistent good quality coffee. Never had a bad cup here! Love their lattes and all their pastries. Currently, it's "little" Swedish hill as they build out the actual spot. Therefore, expect a long line during peak times, it's a very tight spot. There is outdoor seating available but again limited. Been a big fan for years and will continue coming here!

Delicious pastries, coffee, and breakfast tacos. They carry fronks nut milk which was so good in my cappuccino. I loved their outdoor space as well, a great place to chat with friends and enjoy great food and coffee

Swedish hill is either an absolute hit or a flop every time I come here. I'm not sure the reasoning -- but either the pastries are fresh and flaky, or stale and crunchy lol. Maybe it just depends on who is working, however, I feel like if I'm spending $6 for a pastry it should be pretty consistent quality. The service is always great and everyone is very kind. The place is quaint & cute, I did wish they had more seating outside or anywhere near by, but it's a cute spot!

I recently visited Swedish Hill Bakery and had a great experience overall. My chocolate croissant was really tasty. At first they gave it to me cold but I asked them to heat it up and it became perfectly flaky with just the right amount of chocolate. The coffee, however, was more milky than I expected and didn't have that strong coffee flavor I was hoping for.My friends ordered bagel sandwiches and they looked really yummy - definitely something I'll try if I visit again. The restaurant itself was adorable. The outside looked super cute and the inside had a cute little bakery feel.I do wish there was more indoor seating since it was pretty cold outside. The staff was super friendly and helpful. One thing to keep in mind is that the shop can get pretty crowded, so it's helpful to know what you want before you go in to avoid feeling rushed.

This review is for the new Swedish Hill location in Westlake Hills where Blue Dahlia used to be. I loved this cafe and bakery at their downtown location. I was very excited when I read that they opened in Westlake Hills, closer to my home. I decided to try them yesterday. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. Their prices are way higher than normal. For example a baguette is $8 vs. $3 at other high end places. The cafe au lait was lukewarm and weak. I waited 15 minutes to get my ham and gruyere croissant warmed up only to realize that they had forgotten about it. The service was slow and no attention to details. The decor is nice and modern but was very disappointed at the quality and the service. They need to get their act together and also review some of their prices. I'm so disappointed because I loved this place!

First time checking out Swedish Hill, and the flaky pastries were our favorites! I'm a sucker for anything cherry, and the tart cherry cream cheese danish, ham and cheese, kouign amann, and Nutella bun, almond croissant were amazing. We took a chance on the macarons (cranberry orange, gingerbread, and eggnog) but I'd probably skip them next time. As macarons go, they're not as sweet as others, which I appreciate, but the texture was a bit too crisp, not as much chew as I'd expect from a macaron. The coffee is nice and strong and doesn't feel watered down, I got the iced Swedish coffee (coconut cream and oat milk) and my mom got a hot almond milk latte with lavender. Both were delicious. Go for the flaky pastries and coffee! Sourdough looks yummy too!
