Stony’s Pizza - Austin

Have had pretty good luck with delivery from her with a calzone and pizza. It is a bit of a trip for delivery, but we didn't mind tipping extra for something different. I recommend ricotta in the calzone, but not on the pizza. However that is just a perssonal choice. Friendly on the phone also. I do recommend ordering before a rush period for delivery as traffic can be tough at rush hour and it will take longer to receive your order.

First, we've had the food before, and we liked the food!Second, I understand restaurants are busy on Friday evening.Third, I'm not sure if the app service the use, Slice, for delivery and pick up is the problem.Here's what happened this evening. Order delivery for a pizza and salad around 5:00. The app turned it down due to a busy time. No problem, I'll pick up. App stated food ready at 5:48. Timed my arrival for 5:45. I usually like to grab a beer and wait. I expect them to be behind, and I'm pretty patient. Well, no CO2, so scratch that. Fine I'll sit and wait and scroll. After 30 minutes, I asked about how long. I am the only one in the restaurant, and they ask my name again! "Oh, it's in the oven...5-8 more minutes." Finally, at 6:30, I get my pizza and walk out. They literally stopped me in the parking lot and said they gave me the wrong order. I did check and the pizza is missing a topping I had ordered. There was no way I was going back in there and wait another hour and a half!

I'll cut to the chase The pizza was some of the best I've had and the vibe was amazing. The waiters were also super kind.

Perfectly created! Brant was very attentive and his customer service is top notch! The crust is very similar to New York style. All the ingredients are fresh and tasty. Highly recommended if you are looking for a great pizza.

Stony's used to be good. Don't know what happened. Cheap ingredients, weird flavor, soggy crust. We will not go back.

Hands down, this is the best New York style pizza in Austin. The crust is so good, I don't normally eat all my crust but this is some delicious bread. The sauce is delicious, the right balance. The ingredients and toppings are evenly distributed, and the people who work here seem to genuinely care about the effort they put into making your pizza. They are seriously into pizza. There's one kid who is creative, made great recommendations for a few different off-the-menu combinations, and my wife and I really appreciate the enthusiasm. The bottom crust is thin, not burned like some places do NY, it's got the right texture and color. Great mom-and-pop establishment!

I ordered a pepperoni pizza and house salad to go. The pizza was hot and fresh, and the salad ingredients were also fresh. They did not cheap out on their salads like a lot of pizza places do. The staff seemed very nice as well. I'll be back!

I have found my new go to Pizza spot in Austin Texas. I am so happy to announce that I have finally found a pizza that brings back all the memories of New York City if you are a New Yorker or were a New Yorker then you need to get your butt to Stony's or get them to deliver it because it is fantastic, and if you're not in New Yorker and need to eat fantastic pizza, then this is the place to go.

Our family has been ordering Stony's since they opened their Oak Hill location -- however, the last few pizzas we've ordered seemed undercooked and even like the dough wasn't fresh. Not sure if they've changed ownership, but the quality of the food seems to have gone down... tastes like Dominos, but it's double the cost.

Good pizza, I guess it's a New York style pizza. The crust is really tasty, thin and crispy with a nice flavor; it struggles to hold up to meat grease though, so beware of going too heavy on greasy meat (or likely to many vegetables as well).
