My quick stop coffee shop. Never disappointed when I pop in. The service is always quick and pleasant. I've been on an iced coffee tour lately and Stinson has satisfied my taste buds. For those looking for a nice relaxing spot to chat, study or meet this is the place. Parking is minimal, not the place for a long stay but a good one

Really cool atmosphere with coffee, food, and a bar!Ordered the breakfast sandwich & 1 taco. Food was delicious but a bit on the pricier side. Breakfast sandwich was $8 and came with eggs, cheese, bacon & 2 smalls salsas. Breakfast taco was $4.25 for 2 ingredients, and $0.75 additional for each ingredient , and also came with 1 small salsa.I'd come again for the breakfast sandwich. They also had French toast on the menu which sounds fabulous as well.

Stopped in to kill a bit of time before my next appointment. I ordered cold brew coffee which was nicely strong and smooth. My breakfast taco was cooked to order, hot and was a generous taco of egg and sausage, but you can choose from a long list of ingredients. Smallish seating area inside was adequate and there is outdoor seating as well. The waitperson was pleasant and prompt. Seemed a bit expensive to me - $9.25 for cold brew and a two ingredient taco- but I enjoyed it and would come back.

What is it about a perfectly hot coffee and why is it so hard to find? I first reviewed Stinson's 8 years ago. Austin has changed a lot. We are covered in coffee shops now. But this place is still great. The joy is in the details. Here they are:The avocado toast uses real avocados, not the prepared mush that I've been getting at some of my other haunts-- and they have perfectly fried eggs.The salsa is freshly made and truly hot.They are very dog friendly-- water bowls are on the patio.Wifi is strong--man is that important. I've been working remotely in coffee shops since 2010. Bad wifi can wreck an hour of work if you have to leave and find another place. But it's always been strong here.In winter, when other coffee places are cold, relying on the people to make it warm, I always bring a coat. But Stinson's is so cozy. The windows capture the heat of the sun. In the summer, the windows open all the way to the ceiling, and the place is literally cool. Architects are clever like that when you hire the right ones. Stinson's must have.In the evening, if it's open, Stinson's is like a different place. The coffee cocktails give everything a fun, edgy buzz. When coffee cocktails first became fashionable around Austin, I remember Stinson's being one of the first to offer them. Unfortunately, it's usually not open late, and right now, they don't seem to have any evening programming. In fact, the hours on the website are wrong. I've come in at 4pm recently to find them closing. But businesses do what they can right now.The staff is friendly and very conscientious. Food is brought hot, right away. I can't say that for a lot of places I loved before the pandemic.The parking situation is definitely one to plan for. It's so much easier if you enter from 45th street than if you enter from Burnet Rd. But it's not worse than the parking in 75% of Austin now.And, as mentioned before, something about the temperature of the coffee tells you that everything is made with the goal of being exactly right.

Coffee was fine (black) and breakfast taco was generously filled. There was an event I attended here and the place seemed really understaffed for it. The two people working were kind and doing there best, but maybe the scheduling team didn't schedule them properly. I also got the impression that the employee who usually makes the food wasn't slated to arrive until 30 minutes after our event start time. I didn't receive the taco I ordered at 7:35 (let's say 7:40 to be generous) until 8:15, and it was wrong. My coffee was also the wrong size after confirming but I was given a bigger size so it wasn't the end of the world

* This review is specifically in regards to how the experience was through delivery with their options on doordash.I had been wanting to try Stinsons for awhile and was excited to see they were on doordash so I could have it delivered to try while I was getting tasks done at home. I ordered the chai latte and 2 breakfast tacos. The listing you see in the app mentions choosing two options however the list that shows below mentions different toppings as optional with added price points next to them(see photo reference). Based on this it makes it look like these are additional addons outside of your 2 base toppings.Then they have a whole list of #1-#14 which who knows what that is since it doesn't tell you and it also doesn't list any of these #s on their web menu itself. Anywho, I am getting hungry and my order comes and inside are two warm tortillas WITH NOTHING ON THEM and a side of salsa. I was and am still fuming, not only is their ordering system messed up but they charge you $3 plus for each of these tortillas. I am so angry /frustrated at this whole situation, I would have preferred they just put two miscellaneous toppings on it instead of giving me plain tortillas. I will not be giving them my business online or in person and recommend you don't choose them for online ordering either since they will leave you hungry, disappointed, and jipped.

Great place! Used to be an auto body shop, now a great coffee shop house and bar! I've been a huge fan of this place for years and it seems like it's taken a big step in the right direction lately

breakfast tacos were amazing, wife had the breakfast sandwich which she enjoyed very much. Parking was a bit annoying but nothing crazy. Definitely coming here again. The girl behind the counter was friendly and had great suggestions.

We texted in an order walked in and see some guy messing with his phone. Oh we don't use that menu anymore when he actually checked the text. Bad service. Don't go.

Stinson's has an excellent aura & ambience. The staff is always so helpful and was so accommodating to my white & children's complicated orders. A must see Austin local gem!
