Star Hill Ranch

This place is gorgeous. I've never heard of this venue. Didn't know what it was all about. But I did come here for the Austin Mac & Grilled Cheese Festival. Star Hill Ranch looks like a little cowboy western town. Something straight out of a western tv movie. With little buildings, a small church, and a gorgeous back drop. Stage in the back, and lawn, and the hills and trees behind the stage. Old Ford trucks. Just the most picturesque back drop for any event. Truly is the most Texas scenery I've seen. The mac & grilled cheese event was spectacular. So many samples and so much fun. Gorgeous day to start out with. All the venders were delightful. Explaining their sample dish. Some used cheese that I've never heard of. Some using my personal favorite cheese and some of the most inventive toppings. Flaming hot Cheetos, green onions, pickled onions, pickles, just so creative outside the standard mac & cheese. No Kraft box in sight at this event! Event itself was very well organized. A speaker came on a few times and asked how everyone was doing, getting the crowd of people pumped up. Making sure everyone was informed throughout. A lot of crew members walking around too to answer questions and guiding people to the right areas. There were some tables overlooking the gorgeous back drop of the mountains and stage. Everywhere was a photograph moment. I would absolutely go back next year. I would probably get the VIP tickets verses the general addition. The VIP gets you into lounges and an hour earlier into the event.

After 9 years of dating, We decided on a "elopement" but near by. Like a staycation but getting married :). After googling drive through weddings in Austin trying to find something similar to Vegas, I came across this little white chapel. The photos are just as cute as in person and the couple who officiate are the absolute sweetest. They make the moment special but also light hearted and friendly. We upgraded to go in instead of drive through and I am so glad I did. She took great photos with our phone (you can also upgrade that too, to professional photos). There are several packages to chose from with even more upgrades if you like. They are adding on to the back and it is looking super cute if you want an evening wedding with lights outside etc. The airstream they have is super cool too. Overall such a wonderful experience and I am so glad we found this little treasure hidden in the hill country hills.

We got married at Star Hill Ranch in Sept. and it was the most amazing experience! I cannot write enough wonderful things about this location. Matt and Renee were awesome to work with, made everything so easy and were there for every step and question along the way. They are fantastic people! The venue itself...just wow! Within the first minute of stepping up to the venue I knew this was our place. How often do you get a whole "town" to yourself for your special day. This laid-back remarkable venue is super customizable, such as where to hold your ceremony, your reception, etc. which I loved. Many buildings and areas to make your own for your vision of the perfect day. Highly recommend!!

So glad to finally check out Star Hill Ranch! Attended a beautiful wedding here. Feels like a small, old-Western town. There's a bar, a chapel, a "pharmacy", and many other buildings. The chapel is very small and does not provide much seating. After the ceremony we returned outside where we had tables, dancing and a DJ under the lights and stars. Seriously a clever venue. So cool it is so close to town as well. Recommend.

Matt is by far one of the most genuine people I've ever had the pleasure of befriending.My wife and I had our wedding at Star Hill, and it was beyond everything we could have wished for. It's a beautiful venue with an amazing and rich history. It's packed with authentic furniture and everything is just so perfectly placed.If I could have every family function and barbecue at Star Hill, I would because it's so picturesque and jaw-dropping in the day. At night, it's like a beautiful dream.His daughter, Renee, was our day-of coordinator, and she knocked it out of the park.I highly recommend Star Hill Ranch for your next venue. You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I got married here December 2019. We originally found the place January 2019 and from the moment we stepped out of our car and saw the venue we knew it was THE place we were going to get married at. It radiates magic in an almost palpable way. Even though we were sold just from the look of the place, things only got better from there. We met Matt (co-owner) and he treated us like family from the get go. He gave us a tour and worked with us for a price point. Beyond that - over the next 11 months, as is typical in wedding planning, many things went wrong. Our invites were lost in mail and no one ever actually got an invite just as a general idea. Matt was my go-to during that time even though I'm sure some of my concerns and stresses were outside his job description. He was always reassuring and positive. Day of the wedding him and his daughter (who was our amazing coordinator too) were there for every step of the way. They were incredible helpful in making our day perfect despite a few set backs not of their making. Even beyond the amazing venue itself, their treating us like family and the help throughout the year - after our wedding they continued of be incredibly kind. I genuinely feel our family grew when we became a part of the Star Hill Ranch family. I could not recommend this place more. For any function. Because of the scenery, the people, the setting. It is perfect. Star Hill Ranch is perfection.

My daughter got married at Star Hill Ranch this month and the overall experience was wonderful. I would recommend the venue to anyone and everyone. When my daughter asked me to plan her small wedding (about 50 people), I immediately thought of this venue. I had been there before. It was exactly what we needed and allowed me the flexibility to do much of the work myself without sticking to a list of certain vendors. Tables, chairs and the wedding arch were provided, and we were able to decorate the way we wanted (without putting nails in the walls). We used several buildings the day of the wedding. Our guests raved about the charm of Main Street and talked about how it gave such a nostalgic feeling to the event. But, we were still able to live stream the ceremony for the people who could not attend. My thanks to the owners Matt and Adam for maintaining such an amazing gem.

My husband and I got married at Star Hill two weeks ago and it was a magical experience. Not only are the grounds stunning and historical, but Matt and Renee Woolley are honest, salt-of-the-earth people that made our wedding so special. Matt accommodated our budget and worked with us to make sure we could still have a special experience without breaking the bank.Renee's wedding coordinator services on the day of the wedding were invaluable. She managed everything for us so we didn't have to worry about anything.Matt was extremely attentive for months, answering our many random questions with kindness and timeliness. Over the few months of planning, Matt truly became our family. I can't recommend Star Hill enough for a special, one-of-a-kind experience.

Even though we ended up choosing a different venue, I just HAD to write a review about Matt and the beautiful Star Hill Ranch! This place is awesome, It gives you a heavy western-town vibe which I loved! There are many spots on this property you can set your event at and be 100% happy with the outcome. If you have not had the pleasure of eyeing this incredible venue in person, you need to! This absolutely is a hidden gem! The Hill Country location is spectacular, and their recreation of this small Texas community in the early 1900's will take you to a completely different time and place which allows you to relax and truly enjoy your celebration. Their customer service is second to none. From our first inquiry to the main event itself, Matt Wooley (co-owner) was the kindest, most genuine person to work with. Star Hill went above and beyond to ensure our special day was perfect. We are so grateful. There is no doubt that Star Hill Ranch will always have our future business. Beautiful venue, great location, outstanding customer service, affordable price.5 stars for sure!
