Sri Krishna

I have been a lot of times to India and really missed authentic food. If you know what I'm talking about, look no further. This restaurant has the most authentic food I have tried so far in 7 years in Austin. Chicken Tikka Masala, Malai Kofta, the naans and kulcha were so delicious. The staff is super friendly in their service. We loved it and will be back.

The first line of their website says, "Vegan Dishes - Try our amazing plant-powered vegan dishes!" That was enough to get us to go. But when we got there, the menu didn't identify even one item as vegan. We asked the server which items were vegan, or could be made vegan, but he didn't know, he had to go check with the kitchen. Upon returning from the kitchen, his answer was that NOTHING was vegan, and NOTHING could even be made vegan. So we left.Incidentally, this is not even a vegetarian restaurant, there are a number of meat items on the menu, which is downright bizarre for a Krishna restaurant.UPDATE: Upgrading from 1 to 2 stars based on meaningful response from the owner. We'll try again in the future, but if our response is the same, it'll be back down to one star.

Great food, authentic, popular with the Indian community so that's an awesome sign. Friendly service. And authentic Indian music. We will definitely be back.If you don't like too much spice ask for them to make it mild - I'm British and needed lots of water - but the taste was amazing.

If you haven't eaten here yet, you need to get yourself over here now! This is a hidden secret of exquisite cuisine.This place is amazing! Best customer service experience...we were treated like family and the food, it speaks for itself!We prefer our meals to be hot and spicy, and the chef delivered! The crab soup is absolutely delicious. We have tried various dishes, and all of them have been served hot and have tasted fresh and delicious.If you don't know what you want to eat, just ask Prem. He is very patient and is happy to answer any questions that you may have about any of the dishes and can make suggestions based on your interests.The chef loves what he does, and takes the time to visit the table to ask the customers about their experience with the dishes they have ordered. To me, this is going above and beyond to ensure a great customer experience. The meals are unique and have a "made with love" touch to them that is not at all easy to get.Here are some items we have tried: tawa salmon, crab soup, schezwan prawns, bullet naan, filter coffee, chapati, tandoori pamphlet...all very delicious!!This is our new 'go to' place for comfort food and 'feel-at-home' ambiance.We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for rich and flavorful Indian Cuisine experience!

Best uthappam I've ever eaten, size is pretty big. One order with two pieces of uthappam should be good for two people

Picked up food to go- the portions are big, the sauces are thick and delicious. We got veggie samosas, saag paneer, dal thaka, and chicken tikka marsala. They included white and long grain rice (which was deliciously spiced). We'll absolutely go back!

I am looking for jain food . Is there any Jain ( No-onion No-Garlic) food available? in this restaurant?

Our friends and I decided to try the unlimited Pani Puri and Chaat night and were thoroughly disappointed. The chaat was a samosa with Ragda or another things they called Chaat was a bowl of Ragda . They served us some more nasty Ragda and red onions with our Pani puri instead of boiled potatoes or chick peas. They must really love ragda ! Upon asking for boiled potatoes the server said this is how it's served in South India which is false advertising since the ad online clearly shows something else ! Then when we were paying he added an 18% gratuity to our bill but nowhere was it listed on the menu that it's automatically added to the bill . When I asked him he had the audacity to say " this is common sense ". His attitude and lack of respect to a table of 6 women is the reason none of us will never come back . Service was zero ! Food quality was zero . I wish I could give negative stars for this garbage establishment . How dare they use God's name in a place that's more like a Hellhole!DO NOT GO HERE EVER !! Its better to eat stale crackers and moldy cheese than anything at this place .. negative stars all the way

Decent place for indian food. Clean and spacious (but has a little bit of smell, as expected? from all the spices they use). The service was good and very quick. The food was good overall but had some caveats:1. Their Mild was not consistent. The mild for biryani was quite spicy whereas the mild in Korma was normal. 2. The Goat Korma was good but it was bit too sweet. The chapati was very good. However the samosa was not what I expected. It was a baked version and not fried. We also only got two. They seem to have a breakfast buffet which I haven't tried but looking forward to.

Loved it. Fresh food, clean and prompt service. Nice spice level. Here's a few pics of the lovely meal.
