Chicken was fried and seasoned well. I tried the bone in chicken, tingly nuggets and the og sandwich. I liked the bone in chicken the best. The meat was tender and came out hot.The food was ready pretty fast and you can eat inside of the brewing building which was nice.

Like the good and subtle burn of their spicy sandwiches, Spicy Boys has grown on me here of late and I find myself defaulting more and more often to their awesome food truck at St. Elmo's for lunch when I am in town.Situated outside of St. Elmo's Brewery in "The Yard" this food truck has great options for meat eaters and vegans/vegetarians alike. You can order via a QR Code found on tables, outside the food truck, or you can order in person at their window. My go-to items are the Vegetarian Fried Tempeh Sandwich (hot gai style) and the Curry & 2 Roti. Orders have always been made fresh and delivered screaming hot. Service has always been good, fast and friendly, no issues to report. Short and Sweet: Spicy Boys delivers on quality and quantity leaving me beyond full, beyond satisfied, and always looking forward to my next opportunity to grab another Hot Gai.

My partner and I decided to try a new fried chicken place in South Austin and this was a hit! I had never been on Elmo St. and it was a good chance to explore the options-- Spicy Boys did not disappoint. The Spicy Boys website is extremely easy to navigate, making it a prime take-out spot for those wanting a meal on the go. It was ready within 10 minutes while I was on my way to pick up and still steaming hot when I arrived 10 minutes after it was claimed as ready. The fried chicken was juicy, falling off the bone with the crispy outside the only thing keeping the chicken in one piece. Not overly saucy, the chili oil was the perfect amount of heat and level of greasy. I was entranced by the sauces as well-- the thai basil ranch was thin enough to coat the nuggets, coating them evenly without a trail of grease or being too messy. The massaman mayo had a hint of sweetness, perfect for the bone-in chicken! Spicy Boys is perfect for a person looking for a spot to sit outside in the shade with friends, grab a drink inside St. Elmo, or try somewhere new with family members visiting from out of town. Dogs are allowed as well if kept on a leash.

This area was so cute! Service was quick and easy + the staff were nice. I got the hot gai sandwich, OG tots, and papaya salad. Everything was 10/10 except the papaya salad. I wouldn't recommend that but would def get the sandwich and tots again!

Spicy Boys Fried Chicken to the rescue. A Sunday of trying Texas Whiskey and food trucks glad to find Spicy Boys Fried Chicken. Found this food outside of Still Austin Whiskey. Order and pay off the WR wait for a text that your food is ready. The fried chicken sandwich was nice and delicious the chicken was moist and tasty. The bun was nice and warm. Thank you for the good food.

My favorite panang curry in Austin! It's actually kind of insane that I haven't written this review yet because I've been going at this particular location for 3 years now. We always online order after we get our first round of beers and our food is usually ready within a half hour which is perfect. I've tried everything on their menu (and they occasionally add special items, mostly during The Yard themed quarterly events). I Always order the panang curry (with extra roti), Tingly tots, Spicy pickles, and hot nugs. This is a go-to meal that we have at least quarterly through the year. The meat is thigh meat and creates a tasty, tender, rich flavor profile. I love that you have the choice of different levels of heat for the items, like they offer "classic tots" which have no heat at all if that's not your thing. The tater tots are a great level of crispy on the outside, but still light and fluffy on the inside. You can also sub for cauliflower tots. This place shines in quality. Never skip the sauces either! Great, friendly service from the truck and they never let your order sit, it's always piping hot. Ordering on their QR code is simple and makes sense. That portal also lets you know if anything is currently out or not available through them. Orders come in a paper bag with utensils, napkins, and easy to reuse and repackage (if you manage to not finish) and take home.

Was having coffee down the street and got hungry. This chicken sandwich surprised me with its great flavor combination, East meets South. The papaya salad totally made this sandwich. Savory. Delicious.

Soooooo good!! I got the sandwich with massaman curry flavors. The bread is just enough to protect your hands from getting too dirty. Soft brioche(?) type and not thick so it focuses you on the chicken. The fried chicken -- all thigh meat so extra flavorful, tender, and never dry. So so so much flavor throughout the whole thing. And the chicken was also busting out the sandwich, as you can see from my photo. And I love the massaman flavor!! Not too spicy but added such a great warmth throughout the eating experience (and after). Absolute genius to add this flavoring to a chicken sandwich.

As a Southeastern Asian American raised in the South, I'm no stranger to spicy fried chicken and authentic cuisine from southeast Asia. I've only heard great things about Spicy Boys, but I've never actually considered it just to try a sandwich. Since I was in the area, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, Spicy Boys didn't live up to my expectations. Food: The papaya salad lacked authenticity, it used noodles? instead of actual shredded papaya and didn't have the flavor components necessary for papaya salad: spicy, sweet, salty, and sour enough ?? The tater tots and nuggets were both overly seasoned and too crispy. I did try the Fried Chicken Sandwich, but as a fan of chicken breasts over thighs, it wasn't quite to my taste.

You can find this food truck right outside St. Elmos brewery. There's plenty of patio seating around the area. 3.5 stars rounded to 4 as they had vegan substitutes for some of the items on the menu.Sandos, i.e. burgers can be ordered with a soybean patty rather than chicken and they also have cauliflower nuggets as a vegetarian substitute. The burger was quite filling, although a little dry and did not include a side of sauce or ketchup. Papaya salad in the OG burger was refreshing.
