Overall: Spicy Boys is an easy and delicious option on the Eastside. I always choose them for a quick lunch option because they are quick to serve. Being that it is a food truck there's no true "vibe" of the place, however, they do have plenty of benches to sit and enjoy your meal. What I Get:- Classic Nuggets: The classic nuggets are my fav! They give you so many nuggets in one container. The sauce that's drizzled over the nuggets is so good, I always ask for extra. They season them to perfection and I just love love love them.

I got the o.g. sandwich which came with sweet chili honey, green papaya relish, herb ranch, fried shallots, and fried chicken all in a bun. 2 words- SO. YUMMY. The chicken was breaded beautifully which gave it the best crisp when you bit into it and all of the flavors were just so good. It did have a little kick to it.The b.c.s. sandwich came with a buffalo-tossed chicken thigh, shreddage (shredded lettuce lol), pickles, herb ranch, sesame, and cilantro. This one was definitely more 'refreshing' than the o.g. It was saucier and quite yummy. The tots were bomb af. I don't know what kind of seasoning was on them but it was great. They were a little spicy, crunchy on the outside, and soft in the inside. Aka the perfect tots ever.To be honest, this meal is one of those meals that are hard to describe, you just have to experience it for yourself. I definitely recommend going here if you're in the Austin area!

I cannot believe I have not been to spicy boys sooner! Their fried chicken is truly amazing with the right balance of sweet to savory blend. The order is from a food truck so everything is always packaged to go. I liked their 5 piece bone in chicken and when I go back that will be the dish I order. I liked the hot nugs over the classic. The folks we were with do not eat super spicy so I didn't get to try the tingly. We went on a gloomy day so it wasn't super packed and got our food in a timely manner.Roti and yellow curry was a hit. It's on the sweeter side so I didn't expect it at all. Pluckers needs to take notes from these guys.

Conveniently located outside of a brewery! The chicken has good flavor and is very tender and juicy. I wish that it was more crispy on the outside. Dipping sauces complimented the chicken bites too. Solid 3.5 stars for popcorn chicken.

Look y'all, this fried chicken is incredible and unique; and if you're looking for a really great spicy option their hot & "dang hot" are amazing and make you keep eating through the pain.I say all of this to then say the only reason this is 4 stars and not 5... SPORKS!!! Please, for the love of all that is holy, stop carrying sporks.Hear me out, their tiny little prongs never hold the chicken well enough and always fall onto me as I try to fenaegle them into my mouth making me look like a friggin' IDIOT and is 100% the reason that all my dates ghosted me after.Sure, maybe if there was some kind of food item like a soup that warranted throwing the spoon combo in there, but y'all don't even have that! So what gives!?Anyways, food is incredible; but... spork.Once the sporks are gone and we return to civility I will promotly update this to 5 stars. Thank you.

Spicy boys is a staple of east austin and is a must visit if you're a fan of fried chicken and spice. They are consistently an excellent selection if you're in need of a late night bite while out on east. Located next to zilker brewing, it is a perfect combo of great beers and good chicken meals. Don't underestimate the spice levels of the tots and sandwiches. Plenty of outdoor seating for both the brewery and the food truck but can also take the food inside the brewery. Can order online for a text order pick up or order at the window for a 10 minute pick up. Always speedy and excellent service.

After having Spicy Boys Fried Chicken for the first time last night, I'm mad I didn't know about them before!!!We had the classic nuggets, a hot gai sandwich, tots and the spicy pickles and every item was truly amazing. The container of nuggets was filled to the top with tender, juicy, crispy pillows of thigh meat lightly touched with a sweet, spicy, savory sauce that was not overly sweet or too hot. I'm told the sandwich was delicious but I was too busy with my nugs to take a bite. The pickles (and daikon?) were spicy but not so much that it overwhelmed the meal. It was a beautiful night to be sitting outside enjoying food that was crazy good and drinking a delicious beer from Zilker Brewing Co. Plenty of picnic table seating available. Pricing: I saw a review complaining about the pricing. I'm sorry but $10-12 for an excellent box of nuggets or a sandwich that makes you covet every bite (I'm told) is just not too much to pay. We need to support the magicians and creatives offering us the gifts of food that not only satisfies our hunger but also provides us with an experience worth remembering and sharing. My only critiques: 1) I wish they had more cold side items. Currently just 2 on the menu. I saw older photos with a Napa slaw. Wonder why that's not still on the menu? 2) Make more roti. They were out last night and, based on lots of photos of their menu, they are frequently out. This only piques my interest and makes me think it must be damned good to be sold out all the time! I guess I'll have to go back again soon....

I went to the Spicy Boys food truck near Zilker Brewing. There is outdoor seating. We waited a bit for our meals to be ready because they did not call out our names. So, for future reference, check up on your order! The overall ambiance is just like that of a food truck.FRIED CHICKEN (5PC) - $10.99This was amazing. Super crispy and crunchy light battered exterior with JUICY chicken. The seasoning is a combination of sweet and spicy, a sticky sauce that is like a sweet chili asian sauce. It has savory and sweet and a bit of spice with a citrusy lime element. Not dry at all!CURRY & 2 ROTI - $7.99I got the panang curry option which was a coconuty, sweet, malaysian inspired curry. The roti was flaky, greasy, and chewy. I personally would not get this one again, but it was nice to try. I would stick to the chicken.I would come back to spicy boys to try their other items like their chicken sandwich! Check out my instagram page for a full video review: @thefoodiepatootie

The spice blend that they use on their chicken is balanced so amazingly! Pictured here is the chicken pieces, tater tots, and papaya salad. I do recommend eating there and not getting takeout as the fried chicken doesn't really travel well.

Service here was so quick and easy! We came to zilker brewery and sat inside and ordered via the QR code. Food was out in less than 15 minutes! We had plenty of different tastes because we came with family that ordered different things. I ordered the roti, original nuggets and chicken sandwich for my family. Usually my toddler will reject any spice so the original flavor is toddler approved. We finished everything, but my favorite was probably the roti! It comes with a pumpkin-y flavored curry.Everything was good! I'm not a huge Indian/asian cuisine fan so it just wasn't my favorite spices but everything was cooked well and flavorful.
