The food. Was. Breathtaking. If you get one thing, it MUST be the Space Balls. Excellent drinks, service and ambiance as well. We will be back!

More of an Instagram hype than a must-visit spot...DRINKS: We ordered the premium old fashioned ($32) and Kepler Island ($16). Neither of us enjoyed our drinks - we have had better old fashioned drinks for much cheaper and the Kepler island just tasted like a confusing mix of flavors which is disappointing since I generally enjoy pandan. Not worth the price tags.SERVICE: Our server was extremely friendly albeit busy since it was a Saturday night.ATMOSPHERE: The main reason to go to this spot is for the "experience" - they have little space shuttle robots that ride in a track and deliver food and drinks to your table. The decor is space themed with some Western vibes, and is great for a group going out for a night on the town. We didn't have a reservation so we had to take whatever was available which apparently was one of a handful of tiny short tables that didn't have access to the track...We had been informed about the height but not the lack of a robot so we didn't even get to experience the main highlight of this restaurant. On top of that, the music was so loud that we could not hear each other so conversation was out of the question.Overall, between the drinks and loud music and lack of the robot experience, I have no interest in returning to this spot.

Came here for a date night. Read reviews, looked at the menu and were encouraged by what we saw. What was delivered was an easy match - great food, a fun interior vibe, and humans and robots working together to fulfill our every dietary whim. The menu choices were above-average and the presentation, flavor and technique were excellent. Flavors and textures taken as far as they could, delivering enjoyment with every bite.Salmon, tuna, ribeye, octopus, fries, broccolini... everything was crafted, not just heated or "prepared."Cold beer, imaginative drinks and a selection larger than I've seen at many other restaurants. Definitely a must-visit if you're just in Austin a short while.

This restaurant is a must-try in Austin. Not only is the decor super interesting and the food served by robots, the food itself is next level. So it's a really interesting dining experience overall. The staff are great. It's a really fun vibe. They have comfortable booths and Aesop soap in the bathroom. They had roses everywhere for Valentine's Day. The cocktails were really good! It was a quality experience!

My visit to Space Cowboy was truly an unforgettable dining experience. While the service was a bit rough at first, we arrived early for our reservation and felt slightly overlooked. Our experience quickly turned around once our waiter came to assist us. From that point on, the service was attentive and seamless, setting the tone for a fantastic evening. The ambiance of Space Cowboy is something truly out of this world. It feels like stepping into a starry night in the desert, with twinkling cloud lights and a whimsical, otherworldly vibe. The art on the walls was all space themed and absolutely stunning to look at. Adding to the charm are the adorable little robot waiters, which made the dining experience so much fun. Watching them zoom around with dishes was delightful, and they were surprisingly efficient. Our waiter was incredibly helpful in curating the perfect meal for the evening, offering thoughtful recommendations that we wouldn't have considered on our own. The food itself was phenomenal. The aguachile was refreshing, with the perfect balance of heat and acidity, while the squid ink risotto was rich, creamy, and packed with richness.Even the tableware added to the experience, with unique, creative designs that matched the restaurant's theme and elevated the presentation of every dish. I tried asking the waiter where they buy their dishes from and apparently they're all custom made. Space Cowboy- if you start selling your dishes, I will happily purchase a full set of them. And the desserts? Absolute perfection. I'm so glad we ordered two because they were the perfect ending to the night. The ube foam panna cotta was an absolute standout--light, creamy, and bursting with flavor. It was a phenomenal dish that I'd return for alone. Space Cowboy is a one-of-a-kind spot, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit! Highly recommend for date nights and special occasions.

Space Cowboy offers a truly unique dining experience. I had an off menu drink made with Mezcal, and it was absolutely amazing - definitely a highlight. The ambience was fun and unexpected, with a modern, futuristic twist that creates a cool, relaxed vibe. One of the best features was the little robots delivering food - a quirky touch that added to the overall experience. However, a bit of explanation from the staff on how to interact with the robots (like whether to send empty plates and glasses back) would've been helpful, especially for first timers. The food did not disappoint either. The corn ribs and Spaceballs were delicious, with bold flavors. While it's not somewhere I'd visit all the time, Space Cowboy makes for a great occasional treat.

Great spot for date night!! Drinks are fun and they can do non alchy too! Came with some friends and enjoyed all our entrees. Service was fast and our server was very knowledgeable with the menu. She gave us some great recs. We got corn ribs, space balls, braised short rib, shishito peppers, crispy rice trio, hamachi, and sliders. Most of the dishes were app sized and good for sharing.

I've been here 2 times and it's always such a perfect place to start off a girls night. On one of the nights, my friends went on Halloween and had such a great experience. All the food was amazing with notable mentions beef tartare, crispy rice trio, and pumpkin risotto (not sure if this was only for Halloween). Our server was super fun and kept things lively. The food and drinks come out in a cute little spaceships conveyor belt. I wish though we would have some kind of light indicating our space chip was coming because I felt like we kept in suspense as other people's drinks and meals were passing us by. Parking is pretty decent, but it took me a while to get one since they were busy that night. 10/10 recommend for anyone who wants a great meal and cocktail before starting their night.

It was such a great experience. Me and my boyfriend made a reservation for Thursday night for a date night because it was our anniversary. We were seated immediately even though we were about 30 minutes late. They were able to accommodate us.I got their version of an espresso martini and he got the life water drink. Both drinks were absolutely fabulous. We also got a side of their fries which were so flavorful, crispy and fresh. Although they come and take your order at your table, all the dishes and drinks are served to you on one of those automated space ship trains. Because it was our anniversary; they were sooo kind to bring us a special cotton candy dessert and a little succulent as a gift. Truly made our night!

From the moment we walked into this restaurant , it was an exciting experience. The funky floating clouds envelope you in a moment you will never forget. Our server was phenomenal explaining each delight on the menu. First up, cocktails. And with our group we pretty much sampled each one. Winner the expresso martini with tequila. Even the mock tail for our driver was amazing. We worked our way through each appetizer. The shishito peppers and sliders were tops. A few raw options of space balls and steak tartare, a must. Onward to the entrees of short ribs and perfect filet atop puréed potatoes with a nice mushroom sauce. No meal is complete without dessert or desserts. The ube and ganache wow! A nice big fluffy cotton candy presented to the special occasion guest at our table. Our group of 8 ladies shared each delight that was delivered to our table via the coolest little robot train on a track that goes around the venue. Space Cowboy is definitely out of this world. Reservations on a Friday strongly encouraged.
