South African Food Affair

South African Food Affair has moved to where everything is bigger & better-- Austin, Texas! I found South African Food Affair at my local farmer's market and needed to have some in my life. I ordered the Samoosas and the Durban Chicken Curry. NOTE: the menu they post online is limited compared to what they actually serve, expect a few more items. If you're wondering, "what is a samoosa, do you mean samosa", yes & no. The Samoosa is a smaller version of the traditional samosa served in South Asia. What would have made this dish perfect (imo), CHIMICHURRI SAUCE!! If you're looking for a perfect pairing with the Samoosa, get the Durban Chicken Curry. The curry was savory, fiery, and creamy! Would definitely order all again.

Any Saffa that needs a taste from home: try this place! Super bonus: they come to my place of work!

Not at the address as listed. Drove there and found an empty parking lot. My guess is they're only a catering service.

Absolute heaven! Limited menu items made fresh with amazing and legit South African spices. The Bunny Chow is authentic with delicious curry. The peri peri chicken is made with home made sauce. Top notch. I have also tried their homemade samosas with a delicious crunchy crispy shell. You can tell everything is made with love with flavors that will blow your mind. If you've never tried South African food, THIS is the place to do it. They are located in the Puyallup Farmers Market next to the US bank, every Saturday during the summer months. Go try it! You won't be disappointed!

Found this spot at the Ruston Farmers market and the flavor and quality of the meat blew me away! I loved the Peri Peri Chicken and the bonetie was bomb too

Just tried the Peri-Peri Chicken at the Broadway Farmers Market in Tacoma and it was FANTASTIC! The portion is rather large and the flavors are HUGE! The rice is a beautiful yellow and the tender boneless chicken thighs are an earthy red w/little bits of char ...then add a drizzle of their chutney sauce...it was a taste of heaven

Simply amazing. The Peri-Peri chicken is fantastic (luscious chicken, delicious salad and rice that was perfectly cooked) and the chicken curry was incredibly full of flavor. Worth a drive to find where they're serving next.

Simply put, great food and great service. The peri peri chicken is amazing! Ate at their food truck so I can't say much about ambiance.

Wow!! Amazing flavors that have me coming back! The Peri-Peri chicken is so flavorful with a nice hot spice on the back end. The Bobotie sounds like a weird combination, but it has this amazing meaty/ fruity sweet and savory thing going on with an egg soufflé on top. Pairs very well with the savory rice. And the Samoosas!!! So good!! I had the chicken ones with the sweet hot sauce.Everything is so fresh and you can tell they are passionate about their food!

This food is amazing. The peri peri chicken is my favorite and the flavor in to die for! I saw a few reviews that couldn't find them you can message them on Facebook and they respond pretty quickly if you follow them on Facebook they post where they are and when.
