Stopped by for lunch and it was a perfect choice! I had been here once before and enjoyed it then as was the case today!Everything was great - food, service, ambience and it's such great value. Lunch was amazing, filling and I am done for the day!Enjoyed their truffle edamame which was delicious then we enjoyed their lunch special which allows lots of little tastes of various things! The fish was incredibly fresh and perfectly cut, enjoyed some spicy tuna rolls and some bites of their special dishes - all spectacular! I also appreciate the fact that I asked them to take the chicken off and they substituted it which I did not request but it was a nice gesture !Superb device and excellent experience!

My Papa Cat was in town, and as a fellow sushi lover, I was excited to try this restaurant. The interior was so beautiful and peaceful. The food was impeccable and meticulously served. And the best part? Natalie our server! Natalie was so helpful when explaining the menu to us, and helped us to navigate exactly to the perfect dishes for my dad and I. She was so kind and generous with her time that it entirely made our day. I have nothing but high praise for this establishment, that obviously cares about every aspect of their customers' dining experience.I went in for lunch on a weekday and ordered as much food as would fit in our bodies. Everything was beyond delicious. I can't wait to visit again with my husband for date night. And I hope that Natalie will be there again!

I went on Monday for the all day happy hour & to celebrate my birthday! I'm happy I came as I got a lot of good tasting in. I had the uni pasta (so good, all the flavors complimented nicely) and on the happy hour menu - the takoyaki, the seared toro nigiri (bomb), the trumpet mushroom nigiri, (love) the shitaki mushroom nigiri (good complement with the trumpet mushroom) and finally ended with the matcha tiramisu (one of the best cups of deserts i had! I highly recommend spooning in the matcha thats at the bottom into the cake).S/o to Natalie c who made this night so personable and memorable! I really felt like a welcomed guest.

Our favorite sushi restaurant in Austin. As someone who loves sushi and has tried various other restaurants in the area, Soto is by far my favorite place to go. The atmosphere is cozy yet elevated and the sashimi is equal in quality, if not better, in comparison to other upscale restaurants such as Uchi for less. Also has great staff, incredibly kind and remembers your order, down to the drinks! :3

Top notch service, surprisingly quick delivery of food, and an amazing ambience all describe Soto to a tee. However the prices do get up there, so I highly recommend coming for happy hour. We made a reservation for 6pm on a Thursday but there was still a good amount of open seating, so it's probably not necessary unless it's a weekend. For appetizers we tried the karaage and shrimp dainamaito. They were both good, but it really was just fried chicken and shrimp. I wouldn't necessarily get either of them again, but of the two I liked the shrimp better. The nigiri was so fresh, and so delicious. Everything just tasted so clean. But my standouts for the night were the tuna truffle and the uni pasta. The moment the tuna truffle came to the table, I could already smell the truffle which was a very good sign. Again the tuna was super fresh and the truffle just elevated it. The uni pasta was sadly a lot smaller than I expected. But the sauce was so good. It was on the sweeter side, but it also had so much umami. And the chunks of uni throughout made for a great texture. Honestly next time, I would just order some rice on the side after to use up all that sauce. (and to get full lol because nothing was very filling). We also ended up trying the green tea tiramisu. Another great dish - usually these all taste the same but the cream in this dish was so high quality. It's not your typical whipped cream which is a huge plus for me because I don't really like whipped cream.Overall, I really loved Soto, but I would save it for special occasions.

The service was fabulous and the food was amazing!! We took our nephew for his 16th birthday and he loved it! The ambiance is classy without requiring everyone to dress up. You can go comfortable or classy and get an amazing meal! We all tried to pick out favorites, and it was very hard because everything was so great! The kar-age chicken was so good! Perfect app. The apple roll was so amazing that our nephew ventured from his sushi comfort zone and loved it! Dragon roll and real California rolls were very good. The Fire Salmon is a fun and delicious dish that you shouldn't skip. The truffle risotto was my personal favorite, but I love both risotto and truffles so combining the two is a hit for me! My wife and I ate here once before omakase (chef's choice) style, and it was to die for! Whether you go for happy hour or a 3 hours dinner, you're going to enjoy Soto!

This place is a gem. We love eating lunch here every other week due to the top-notch food and service. Lauren is the best waitress! She is so friendly, attentive, and fun to chat with. The thick cut salmon and seafood salad is fresh and delicious. The interior is so clean, and the ambiance is warm and inviting for guests. All the employees from the hostess to the waitstaff seem so cheerful.

I wasn't expecting a lot from a sushi restaurant directly adjacent to a Party City. Boy was I wrong. They nailed the ambiance, the service, and the presentation. I have been to Japan many times and this is the closest I have come to feeling like I was in an authentic Japanese restaurant. We have eaten here twice for special occasions and have not been disappointed. The only downside is that it is not cheap!

This place was decent, but not exceptional. I had a few nigiri pieces, which was alright. The pieces were well-portioned with the right amount of rice. However, the sashimi was sliced really thin, which was a bit disappointing because my otoro nigiri was $10 a piece. I wasn't a fan of their karaage. It was covered in sweet sauce that was almost like orange chicken, and the chicken reminded me or Bare frozen chicken nuggets. The table was also bit sticky because the menus stuck onto the table. On the bright side, the server was nice and attentive.
