Sophie's Gluten-Free Bake Shop

Oh my goodness.. what a delicious treat!! Being someone with lots of food sensitivities, it's hard to find really good breads and cakes. Sophie's Gluten Free Bake Shop is by far better than anything I've found in a store. Naomi cares about every detail and made it to order for me just as I needed it. I can't eat eggs so she shifted her recipe to make it egg-free for me as well.The taste and texture were just right for me. I sometimes toasted mine and added butter for an extra treat. Can't wait until my next order! I highly recommend Sophie's Gluten Free Cakes!

Food: 5, service: 5, ambiance: N/ABecause of celiac disease, we are always in search of an excellent GF baker. We found Sophie's Bakery on Yelp and decided to order two cakes for New Year's Eve. Despite the very short notice, Naomi had both cakes ready in time for our event. The cranberry pecan bundt cake was delicious, moist and full of fresh cranberries. All of our non-GF family members had second and even third slices! This seasonal cake is a winner, and can be ordered without nuts as well. The second one was her blueberry lemon cake, which was full of blueberries, but a bit dry and hard. When I brought this to Naomi's attention, she was quite dismayed, and immediately offered to re-bake the cake, explaining that she would use a different oven. Naomi's friendliness and responsiveness to our feedback is the kind of service that will keep us coming back over and over again. We've already ordered another one for this weekend. Note: Naomi does take Saturdays off in observance of the Sabbath so you would need to order for Fridays or Sundays instead of you want something for the weekend.

Today, I had the pleasure of eating some of Sophie's gulten-free pound cake as well as meeting the Sophie herself. The cake that I had was the pumpkin pound cake with chocolate chips. This cake was moist and absolutely divine. The layers of cinnamon and mix of chocolate chips were fairly generous and evenly dispersed throughout the cake. "In the case of Sophie's baking, gluten-free does not mean taste-free or texture free"!

These baked goods are amazing! It's hard to find gluten-free desserts that are yummy and delicious, but you will find both with Sophie's Bake Shop. Seriously, you don't want to miss the Coconut Rum Raisin, Sour Cream Coffee Cake, Gingerbread, Chocolate Banana Bundt Cake, Pumpkin Pound Cake, and so much more. I'm actually feeling hungry while typing this post! Great food made with top quality ingredients and lots of love by Chef Naomi.

I have enjoyed Naomi's gingerbread, among many of her cake options, since the days she started her GF cakes & loaves. She only uses the very best ingredients and produces cakes of high quality. It is such a treat to have so many cake options when you are gluten free and I've really, really missed my gingerbread slices since I left Austin!

The service is impeccable! Naomi (the owner/baker) is dairy free and gluten free so those items never even show up in the kitchen at all! She is so kind and gracious and accommodating. Highly recommend this business if you need a cake for anyone with food allergies!!! What a gem!The lovely Naomi delivered the cake to my friend and she said it is delicious!!

Naomi is so communicative and transparent with her baking process. I ordered a strawberry cake for my coworker with a gluten and dairy allergy, EVERYONE on the team enjoyed the cake! The cake was so tasty, I was very happy to be able to provide a delicious treat for my friend :)

Naomi makes the most delicious Pumpkin Pound Cake ever. I am not gluten-free and so was not sure what to expect. However, it was delicious. I have not tasted anything that wasn't delicious from Sophie's Gluten-Free Bake Shop. Naomi bakes to order and works hard to provide excellent customer service and delicious baked good. I highly recommend.

This is where you come to order gluten-free loaf and bundt cakes! For a very reasonable price you get a delicious homemade treat delivered right to your door. There are so many choices and I appreciated Naomi's willingness to combine a few options so that the loaf was tailored to my favorite flavors. I stuck with the basics, though, and Naomi made me a lemon loaf cake that was packed with flavor, was moist, and looked really pretty, too. I served it with some fresh fruit toppings and no one could tell it was gluten-free. Loved my lemon loaf... highly recommended! I will definitely be ordering from Sophie's Gluten-Free Bake Shop again.
