Skinny's Off Track Bar

My friend and I ended up at Skinny's after realizing the nearby bar we were at didn't serve food. Though we were hoping for a full menu, we were pleasantly surprised to find hot dogs and fries that tasted home-cooked, fresh off a food truck grill. The bartender was decently nice, adding to the welcoming vibe. The unique beer selection was a bonus, and the atmosphere was nothing short of intriguing. With TVs embedded in the walls and also in the backyard, which were great for catching the game, and a bathroom design that felt like stepping into another universe, Skinny's definitely stands out. I'd recommend it as a must-see for anyone visiting me--I'd certainly go back!

What more could you ask for? Cowboy pools, dog races, beer and cocktails, and more?Such a super fun neighborhood spot. This reminds me of something you'd expect to find in Brooklyn (except the pools wouldn't be available in the fall or winter lol).Dig the crowd and staff.Definitely a place to take friends when they visit from out of state.

Visited Skinny's to grab a drink with my boyfriend and watch a basketball game. We brought our puppy, as well, to socialize him a bit. We sat outside at one of the long picnic tables and watched the game on the big screen outside. There were several groups doing the same thing, and it was a pleasant vibe outside!To order, we had to go inside to the bar. We first ordered a beer and a Manhattan (which honestly was not great). For our second round, we ordered second beers, and that was much better. Parking was plentiful in an open dirt lot across from Skinny's in the back. I think we will be back soon, because there was a sign advertising a weekly crawfish boil, which sounds yummy!

I absolutely love this place!From watching UT football games in the fall to spring crawfish boils, Skinny's is truly the place to be. So here's the ~skinny~ if you will:During the spring every Saturday at noon you can get free crawfish from East Side Boilers with a drink purchase. Definitely get there early as its on an until supplies last basis.

Divey and crowded. Small inside with several tvs and crusty regulars. Good drinks and company. And a BIG tv on the patio for the BIG game! lol good place to watch a game and sweat (to be fair, that's nature's contribution). Lines to the bar are long and meandering. Saw a few people get over served. When one threw up on a stranger at the bar, staff took it in stride and made sure the perpetrator found friends to get home. But the victim didn't even get a towel for his shoes. The food truck made a pretty good smash burger with fries in a compostable for box.Parking lot available on site, paid across the street, or street parking in the neighborhood behind.

This place looks like it'd be a fun little hangout. There's tons of specials and events and they post about 'em on their Instagram and website. For instance, $5 burgers on Sundays.My burger was pretty dang good. I'm certainly happy with my purchase. It was an above-average burger for a really good price and I highly, highly recommend scooping these up if you're ever here on a Sunday. Love the grilled onions, the pickles were good despite looking like the "too cucumbery" pickles, and of course you've got some nice special sauce on there.The other part of my order was a Frito pie. I came to pickup my order and they were out of Frito pies. I would have liked a refund but that probably would have been a gigantic hassle. Having no interest in the other sides, I reluctantly asked for a pretzel instead. No pretzel. Fries are boring so I go with corn dog bites even though I hate corn dogs. So now I have corn dogs. Available to me are 3 bottles of ketchup, and 2 bottles of mustard. But wait - they're all empty. Condiment bottles, especially when you have so many out, are easy to replace or refill like come on.

A great outdoor bar and addition to the east 12th neighborhood for day hangs. It's a sports bar but with one big screen out back with plenty of picnic table seating, an outdoor bar, and a few TVs indoor. There's some heat lamps available when it gets a little colder. Owned by a larger conglomerate NOCO HOSPITALITY GROUP, LLC, this is one of their more casual and affordable spots. Their smash burger is both priced reasonably and one of my favorite in the city (on Sunday it's only $5!) During happy hour, they have half off appetizers too. The bar is very dog friendly and hosts fun activities like corgi races, etc.

Skinny's is the best! They have pretty cheap drinks, a good backyard ambiance, and yummy food at the food truck. Oh and cute merch! Went there last night for the Frenchie races and it was a blast! Love their backyard area and enjoyed the burger way too much!

I'm going to enjoy this place. Today is day 3 of being open. Booths are first come, first serve and you can control the TV to watch the game(s) you want. Outdoor patio will be a large screen TV and audio next week. That will be nice to sit at the benches and have a drink, eat and watch the games. There's a small bar outside that serves a limited bar menu.I'm feeling the vibe of this place. Great first impression.

What a great space! This bar is such a cute vibe, you have the option of indoor where each booth has a TV and a large one for the whole space to watch sports. There is also a large outdoor patio space with a very large screen. The food truck has tasty bar food that is affordable!
