Your spice tolerance may vary. When asked if the scale of 1 - 10 was "Thai spicy" or "white person spicy," I was told it was Thai spicy and tempered my request accordingly and went with a mere 2. Next time, I would easily ramp that up to 5 or 6, but fortunately, the food is flavorful, fresh, and well-seasoned all the same. Best of all, they don't just understand requests for vegan dishes; they have a whole separate vegan menu! You've gotta ask for it is all. There, you'll find the predictable tofu and veggie options as well as more exciting mock duck and chicken (seitan/wheat-based.) My favorite was the meatless duck, which is super tender and savory. I don't usually go for pad Thai, but theirs is not bad! Chewy noodles, moderately sweet sauce, and your protein of choice. I adored the eggplant tofu, which has meltingly tender vegetables in a garlicky basil-flecked brown sauce. There's so much to try- I'll definitely be back!

Neighborhood Thai place.Limited beer selection, dishes ranging from 15 dollars on up. Good service. Good food. Haven't had a bad meal here yet. They let you choose the spice level, too. That being said... comfort is a bit missing. The benches are hard. And the noise level can be grating after a while of sitting in there. They do offer lunch specials, so it might be a better spot to go then if you're not wanting to deal with the noise.

Sip Saam Thai remains a restaurant with delicious Thai food. Their chicken pad thai, papaya salad and calamari all deserve chef's kiss. Be warned though, their medium spicy leans towards the spicier side. So be careful if you can't tolerate too much spiciness. Service was quick and their interior lighting is slightly dim, which makes for a nice place for any type of outing (date night, family night out, etc).

This place was a lovely little gem that we stumbled upon. We ordered the lemonade to start and my friend loved it. Then we got egg rolls that came out piping hot! After the appetizer we moved on to dinner. My friend and I both got chicken pad Thai and it was incredible! When the Check came, I paid and looked at her and said "happy birthday!" The server told us not to leave and she brought out a birthday ice cream for her. She split it with me, I felt the coconut ice cream with peanuts was not the greatest combination. It was greatly appreciated though. I would absolutely return again and get other items! I am curious about the crab rangoon's and the sticky rice dessert.

This is a solid Thai restaurant that checks all the boxes for great food, variety, and affordability. With a wide range of options on the menu and reasonable prices, it's a reliable spot for satisfying your Thai food cravings. They even offer lunch specials, which are a fantastic deal if you're looking for something delicious and budget-friendly.I visited with a few friends during lunch today and had the Tom Yum soup with chicken, as well as a shrimp appetizer. Both dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, making for an enjoyable meal. While the service was a bit slow, our server was very friendly, which made up for the minor delay. The restaurant also has ample seating, so it's a great choice if you're planning to dine with a large group. That said, it's a good idea to call ahead during lunch hours to ensure they can accommodate your party comfortably.Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or meeting up with friends, this spot offers a reliable Thai dining experience in a spacious and welcoming setting. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

First time at Sip Sam Thai and I was thoroughly impressed! From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place values customer service. The staff was warm and attentive, making sure my dining experience was top-notch. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with delicious aromas wafting from the kitchen, making it feel like the perfect spot for both a casual lunch or a cozy dinner date.Cleanliness: The restaurant was spotless, which made me feel comfortable and assured that they take great care in maintaining their space.Food: I started with the Thai coffee, which was absolutely delicious - rich, smooth, and the perfect way to kick off my meal. For appetizers, I tried the spring rolls, and they were a standout! The basil inside really added a fresh, aromatic flavor that paired perfectly with the shrimp, rice noodles, and vegetables. The peanut sauce was the perfect accompaniment -- I couldn't get enough of it! I also ordered the calamari, which was fried to perfection with a light, crispy texture. The dipping sauce that came with it was just the right balance of tangy and savory. For my entrée, I had the papaya salad with shrimp (spicy), and I must say, this was one of the best papaya salads I've ever had! The flavors were fresh and vibrant, and the balance of spice, sweetness, and crunch was absolutely perfect. I could eat this every day!Overall Experience: I wholeheartedly recommend Sip Sam Thai to anyone. Whether you're looking for a relaxed lunch break or a place for a nice date night, this spot offers both. It's the kind of place where you can unwind, enjoy amazing food, and feel well taken care of. I'll definitely be back!Rating: 10/10. Highly recommend!

I had lunch at Sip Saam Thai with my mom, and it was such a great experience! I ordered the drunken noodles with beef and a lemonade, while my mom went for the special of the day, lamb with a peanut Thai sauce. Both dishes were delicious, but I have to say, my mom's peanut sauce was the real standout--so rich and flavorful! Yum!The lemonade was another highlight. It was served in a cute mason jar and was just the right size. Super refreshing and a perfect pairing with our meals. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who made us feel welcome. I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes. Highly recommend if you're in the mood for great Thai.

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made for a pleasant atmosphere. However, I found the spice levels in the dishes to be quite weak. If you're looking for that authentic kick, you might be disappointed. On the positive side, the Drunken Noodles were a highlight of the meal--definitely a must-try! They were flavorful and perfectly cooked. I also enjoyed the fried rice, which was delicious and packed with flavor.Unfortunately, the spring roll was a letdown. It was pretty flavorless, and I won't be ordering it again. On a positive note, you absolutely must order the soup! It was rich and comforting, making it the standout dish of the evening.

What happened to the Thai restaurant we loved? I've regularly frequented this place since 2016 or so. And have always enjoyed the duck curry, pad see ew, Tom yum noodle soup, Thai tea.... All yummy items. BUT TODAY....Did ownership changed? New cook?Everything we got today was below par. The duck curry was the most bland duck curry I've had from anywhere (the duck was cooked fine though and edible). My toddler had pork skewers which was ok (3.5/5). My wife had the pad see ew which had absolutely no flavor. And I thought the noodle was undercooked. The papaya salad was pretty good but a small part of our overall meal. I don't comment much anymore. Usually when something's great or when something's disappointing. I'm ok to give it another try but with so many new and upcoming Asian spots opening, I'm also ok cutting this out of our rotation.
