Sichuan River

I really disliked this food. I ordered the egg roll, and it was fried well but the filling was not full and the sauce was thick and sugary and jelly. The fried rice was fine and not offensive. The sweet and sour chicken tasted weird and was rubbery the breading tasted off and wasn't fried enough.

Was the first time we ordered from here. Was very good and quite quick delivery at dinner time. Was nice to try something new, as are usual go-tos have got quite boring.

5 star for takeout beef lo mein! Generous portion that I can split between two meals. Not too oily and very much the comfort food I was looking for. I was honestly iffy about trying this spot but definitely excited to come back to try more items on the menu. Not a fan of the interior ambiance as it's windowless and all dark but it's a great place for takeout!

First, don't expect bells and whistles at this no-frills South Austin restaurant. Second, don't expect Chinese food, as this is Szechuan! Szechuan food is more flavorful from due to its powerful peppercorns, dried chili peppers, and garlic. Expect tons of potent flavor and spice with every bite. If you are looking for good Sichuan food, look no further. Must try: The Mapo Tofu and the Spicy Stir Fried Chicken.

Ok we had it delivered. It was great. Really good value. We got a million different tofu dishes and everything was delicious. The delivery came quickly and the food was still piping hot. Recommend it? Yes indeed.

Not bad for Austin. I always get the fish in chili oil whenever I want fish and I recommend that dish.

Got take out here for a big family meal. I ordered 7 dishes for 7 adults and it was so much food! It fed us for three meals! The service was great, yes even with getting takeout. And the food was ready within 15 minutes of placing the order.This is a great option for mid-tier (price wise) Chinese cuisine. The jumping fish, sichuan fried chicken and Mongolian beef were some of much favorites. This will definitely be on of our go to places for Chinese takeout.

Food is very good! Wish they didn't use styrofoam containers though. They leak every time. Food is 5 star for Chinese take out, bad containers make it a 4 for me

Yesterday I decided to try a new Chinese restaurant... I ordered a combination lo mein and two egg rolls... The price was 20 bucks, and the lo mein noodles were not edible... It tasted like the noodles were cooked in a Mongolian stove or a walk that had been burnt... I could not remove the burnt flavor... The egg rolls were 175 apiece and they were so tiny and had no flavor... I mean, these are the basics if this recipe can't cut the basics I will not be back... I thought this place was overpriced And very disappointed because I love Chinese food and I'm not that picky but this food was uneditable

this used to be my whole family's favorite Chinese. I done know what happened. but it is no longer even palatable. pics below do not even depict how much oil is saturated in the bowls. This is my third try thinking it might have been just one bad order. but now I know will not be recommend again.
