I love short stop. If New Braunfels had a location, I'd never get burgers from another drive-through. They also have excellent catfish on Friday's.

It has probably been 20 years since I ate at shortstop. I don't know why I stopped eating there except there are so many choices in Austin now days.I must say we are now repeat customers again. The price is right the quality amazing the taste is the old charbroiled flavor. It's made order and it's served up hot. The french fries are tasty. Sorry In & Out, P Terry's this place is better!!!!!

I've been coming to Short Stop since the 80s. One thing is for sure, is the consistency of the burger and fries. They still have the same taste as I remember back then. They really need to change the oil more often in that fryer. Tastes like recycled oil. Hey, at least it's hot. The mind blowing thing is that they have the best hot fried apple pie in Texas. Reminds of McDonald's when they used to have hot fried apple pies. Too many health nuts, so they went to a high calorie baked apple pie, haha.

Classic burgers can be found at this stand alone drive-through. They have several locations in the Austin area since 1984 but this one is located right off the interstate by Fiesta. I try to get here before the lunch rush and even at 1045 there where a few cars ahead of me. Ordering is simple you drive up to the menu and place your order and then drive up to the window where you pay and pick up your food. The lady at the pick up window was friendly and quick handing out the drinks first followed by the order. This is fast food environment so many of the items are made ahead of time and kept warm so it's best to order these items right when the open or during the lunch rush. Will I keep going here? Yes.l, It's part of my lunch rotation especially if I want something to take out that I can just eat at home or in the office.

Freshest nasty food I've ever had. The did a good job making the food and it being super fresh. BUT the overall quality of the meat was nasty and you can taste it. Good service and respectful staff.

Well I had to write a review on this visit. Quisha was very wonderful! Down to earth, friendly, cheerful a delight. She got our order well and wasn't super rushed, normal paced. She didn't hesitate to assure me if they had any running specials or kid meals added. True well customer service skills. I ended up trying the chicken melt with jalapenos. WOW! it was delicious! I hadn't ever tried that chicken burger. Melts in your mouth of flavor. Their chili cheese hotdog was loaded with fresh chili. Didn't have that stale all day out taste or burnt. I'm certain my son's burger was juicy and well done because he did not complain or take long to eat his burger. My daughter had some of the chili dog, hamburger and chicken burger too LOL! That staff was awesome. Thank you !
