Shipley Do-Nuts

1st time visiting this location on 06/04/2022, which was a day after "National Donut Day" & I wish that I could capture the sweet yummy~ness that lingered in the air when you walk inside Shipley Do-Nuts in my photos! I have to give kudos to the employee working on Saturday because she gave the BEST customer service! And not only was the customer service 5+++ stars, the freshness & variety of donuts to choose from were also 5+++++ stars! I bought about 6 different types of donuts (apple fritters, glazed, donut twists, strawberry filled donut, ect) and they each were very fresh & so delicious. I don't know about the past but today this location met, if not exceeded all my expectations. The service was quick and friendly. The donuts were absolutely delicious. This will be my new go-to for donuts.

On Saturday morning, I'd made the mental commitment to bring doughnuts to my new EMS gig. But the Shipley's by my house wasn't open until 6 AM (despite the website info), so I remembered this location.The biggest negative is that it's hard to get to. You either need to access it from the westbound 183 frontage road or the northbound I-35 frontage road. The biggest positive is that this location has the best hours of any Shipley's location I've seen -- 5 AM until 4 PM.The service is efficient and the doughnuts are still excellent. It might be me, but I think Shipley's taste more like a traditional doughnut and less sweet than a certain other chain.

I'm not coming back to this location. I came on a Sunday morning and the gentleman taking my order was grabbing the wrong pastries I had asked for, so I had to correct him. Then one of the cinnamon rolls I asked for he had said they were not ready when they were clearly visible in the display.Then I got an attitude because I wanted to make sure he got a correct donut I had asked for. I also got a sarcastic thanks when I tipped with the remaining change. With this service I shouldn't have tipped at all.If you want Shipley's, go to the one on Anderson Ln. I've come to this location on Saturday's and the girl that works on Saturday has her act together. But if it's Sunday, any other place will do.

I've had consistently positive experiences at this location's drive thru. The menu is easy to read and it has been easy to communicate my order. The drawback of this location is that because it is in a small center, there's limited parking, and the drive thru is somewhat hidden. I hope this isn't hurting their business, because their donuts are excellent. Very soft cake donuts, and large, soft yet firm yeast donuts. Both with not overly sweet frosting. When I find myself in this part of town, I always pop in here.

I've always been a fan of Shipley's, mainly because growing up, it was my family's go to donut place every Sunday on our way to church. But I've come to learn that not all Shipley's are the same. This Shipley's location is a step above the rest. Their menu is extensive (they even have Thai Milk Tea!) and their donuts and kolaches (the big earl jalapeño, sausage and cheese kolache in particular) have been consistently fresh on each of my visits. Customer service is fast and friendly and they keep the drive-thru line moving. Keep up the good work; you've got a fan in me!

All the donuts were so overcooked, to the point of being burnt. I had six different flavors for a total of 18 donuts and they all tasted the exact same, like over cooked grease. They were extremely hard and extremely small. The simplest of them all was the plain glazed donut... But it was so overcooked, that it was something we had to chew on rather than a soft and meltable delight. And since when we a plain glazed donut dark brown, almost black in color? I'm rather shocked they let this out of the door, as I've eaten Shipley donuts since a very young age when I lived in Louisiana. Do better because this was an epic fail and a waste of my hard earned $25.

This Review is based on the Donuts and Donut Holes Alone!!! This was a very weird drive thru but for the location, I can understand. Better for compact vehicles to drive through. Decided to stop by last minute. There wasn't much of a variety of different things I could get. I got too spoiled at other Donut shops I guess lol. But got some basic donuts and all in all, they weren't bad nor great. Now I will say that I did get these donuts mid day. Therefore, it could be very very different in the morning. So I have to say this isn't a fair review. But at least for variety, not so great. I Love Donut Holes and there were only 3 (technically 2) options. Glazed and Chocolate. Or Mixed which is both of them. Maybe one day more options will come. Who knows, maybe they do during holidays or special occasions. Only time will tell. I am definitely going to go back and try their pastries and kolaches sometime soon though! I'll update my review then.

I love this location! I live nearby and decided to try them out on a Saturday morning. Only two people ahead of us inside and the drive thru seemed busier with five cars in line.I'm so happy a Shipley's is so close to me. And it's bright and clean inside, unlike other Shipley's I'd been to growing up.All products were stocked well and I liked the arrangements and menu. I was able to see everything clearly.Service was great!! Quick, efficient, polite, patient. If you want something savory, I loved the country sausage and cheese kolache and the country sausage with cheese and egg kolache. Basically tastes like a breakfast sandwich, but in kolache form so it's 100000% easier to eat. Bonus, you can hold while driving without making a mess.For sweet, of course you can never go wrong with their donut holes! Perfectly glazed and the perfect size!Their house-made french vanilla iced coffee was good, but really really sweet. So if you're not getting donuts, don't get it (unless you like your coffee extra sweet). As of writing this review, this location has 3 stars. Maybe they all had truly bad experiences, but based on my visit, I don't understand the 3 stars. I'm giving 5 because this might be my best Shipley's experience yet and I honestly wasn't dissatisfied with anything.

I was pleasantly surprised. This is the best Shipley's location I've been to! The kolache I got was fluffy and soft and donuts too. Good customer service as well
