This place has made my Top 10 brisket list in Texas for places you don't have to wait in hour long lines. If you think there is better brisket, bring it by and I will make time in my schedule to taste it and provide a review if it's better. My wife was in Gonzalez for an early morning engagement and on her way back before the Gonzalez BBQ spots opened up. Darn. I told her I wanted to try some BBQ in the area. She said to see what was on the way back and I saw Schulze's Pit Room in Seguin. I had never heard of it, but it got great reviews. So she stopped in and picked up some brisket, brats, and sausage. I didn't get to them for a couple hours but it was all great. The brats and sausage were both meaty, juicy, and flavorful. Don't think those pale white brats; these are smoked. I think they made a mistake and gave us the jalapeno cheese sausage instead of regular sausage. But the jalapeno cheese sausage was very good. But the star of the show is their brisket. A good bark, a nice smoke ring, and the meat was tender and moist. Very good smoke penetration. They have a nice peppery barbecue sauce that compliments the brisket nicely. I know a lot of people rave about Burnt Bean, but Schulze's Pit Room is excellent without the lines.

First timers during dinner time. Party of 6We ordered a buncha stuff but what stood out to us mostly was the ribs, brisket and mild jalapeno and cheese sausage. Unfortunately we had to order the bbq chicken over the smoked due to it being sold out but it was still tasty. Service was good, and staff were very nice. Wasn't a huge fan of their special sausage at the time, which was the Brisket/rice option. Plenty of parking and seating. Enjoyed the alc selection there.

The young man who took our order was sooo nice & helpful. I loved the ambiance of the place, super clean, I sides were so good but the brisket was dry. Wish they hadn't run out of pork ribs but it is what it is. We will try again.

Great food taste awesome it's nice having a bbq place to go to in Seguin that is so nice. The staff So them came and went from 5 stars to 3 the changed the whole atmosphere there an d they have a young man that is a little arrogant when you order your food. Idk if they got bought out or what but it's not the same.

Ate here after a soccer game, it was good. But, wasn't great. I didn't get smacked in the face with that smokey, yummy bbq smell... so it did feel like a real bbq place. The mac was ok, brisket wasn't anything special, but the sausage was good. Honestly, if I'm in Seguin, I'm gonna wait in line 30+ min at the bbq joint down the road... BB.

We got the combo plate. You're limited to what meats you can pick for that: brisket + turkey OR sausage. Turkey was better than the brisket (who would've thought?).You then get your choice of two sides. We got the green beans and fried okra- the fried okra was fried to order and the best. Next time, 10000% pass on the green beans.Nice patio area was reserved, so we couldn't check that out.

Food was great. Our experience was a little chaotic. Ordered a drink, no bartender at bar... wanted a drink while waiting in line unable to no bartenders. Tried to get a Diet Coke, line was running clear. Staff changed quickly which was nice to see!! Line for food was a good sign, and moved quickly. I ordered a turkey plate with buttered corn and pinto beans. Very good choice on my part. My husband ordered the 3 meat plate which consisted of brisket, 2 ribs and sausage. He chose the al pastor sausage which was lights out. The baked potato salad is a must try and the green beans could've used a little salt. Overall very pleasant experience.

"Let there be meat" and meat there was, indeed. First, the turkey was NOT dry. It was incredibly juicy. The BBQ was Smokey and not overly sweet. The brisket, fire. Banana pudding, fire. The entire team was so kind and actually cared if we were enjoying lunch. We will definitely be back when we are in the mood for BBQ. It was the best that I have had in Texas so far!

I was looking for a good barbecue place as we were heading down the road. We stopped here and the food was meh. First of all, it was 31° out today and it felt like it was almost as cold inside as it was outside. All the people eating and the workers had their jackets on. I ordered sausage, baked potato salad, and mac & cheese. My husband had brisket, jalapeño sausage, okra, and green beans. The sausage for both of us was extremely greasy. I was sopping up the grease with my napkin before I would take a bite. The mac & cheese was made with a queso cheese, but very little flavor. Even after adding salt and pepper to it, it was pretty bland. The baked potato salad was really greasy as well. The flavor of it was ok, not great, ok. I finally had to give up and give my arteries a break. The green beans were just canned green beans with maybe bacon and jalapeño? They were ok. The okra was my favorite part and they were probably frozen. If it was a restaurant near my hometown, I probably would not go again. Since we were just on the road and don't live nearby if we came back to this area, we would definitely try another place.
