First time and came along for a late lunch around 2pm with a friend and it was perfect timing. Not busy at all and food came out quick. Parking is street parking DT and could be a nightmare at the wrong times but there was plenty off 7th street a block away. This place is small and in a corner in DT Austin and it reminds me of a NYC restaurant which I love. There was no host and we walked right in to the counter to order before we got a table. Right away bread and their in house made olive oil mix was brought out and water was served. We got the Burrata to start and it tasted so fresh. For our meals we got the Chicken parm and Gnocchetti w/bolognese. Both fresh, full of flavor and a decent amount of food. One thing I appreciated how friendly and attentive the staff was! We didn't have just one server the 3 people who were working there at the front kept checking on us and refilling our water. Amazing staff, food and ambiance!

I stopped by with my girlfriend on a whim while looking for a quick bite to eat while killing time in downtown Austin. It was not very busy on a Friday early afternoon, so we were seated quickly. The server was very friendly and gave us a run down on the restaurant. They take pride in making everything by hand, which is quite the accomplishment given the diversity of the menu. I was just looking for something to snack on, so I ordered the calamari. The calamari came out very very fresh. It was super crispy and well seasoned. The calamari was not overly chewy as many places are when it gets overcooked. Unfortunately, I was only able to eat a few as it was overly salty and the saltiness became overwhelming. The marinara sauce was a great addition to the dish as well. The decor inside is super cozy and was giving Italian diner vibes. I can tell they strive to make delicious food and offer a wonderful dining experience. I will definitely try to make it back next time I am in Austin!

First off, the service here is phenomenal. It was our first time here, and our server did a fantastic job introducing us to Sapori and giving us recommendations. Everything here is made in-house, and you can definitely tell from how fresh the pasta and sauces are. They give complimentary bread and olive oil (win!). We ended up ordering the calamari and the chicken fettuccini alfredo. From the first bites, both dishes were amazing. I'm more of a tomato-based pasta sauce girl, so after my alfredo cravings were satiated, the dish got quite heavy. But if I was a die-hard Alfredo fan, this dish would knock it out of the park. The calamari was well seasoned, but a bit too seasoned because after a while it was too salty. The marinara dip that came with it was top tier though. Overall, Sapori is worth a visit if you're craving Italian. They do a good job at taking care of you and offer fantastic handmade pasta. Parking is going to be tricky as it is downtown.

Amazing Italian food in Downtown ATX! I came here with my friends and this restaurant is the perfect sit down restaurant. We're all vegetarian and we had a lot of options on the menu. To share, we got the fried burrata and the arancini. It was my first time trying arancini and it wasn't my favorite, but everything else made up for it. I got the gnocchetti with the avocado pesto. The pesto was good, but lacked a little flavor. I added some chili flakes and parmesan and it was good! I loved coming here and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

SERVICE/AMBIANCE:- Parking is difficult to find nearby- The servers were very kind and attentiveFOOD:- The complementary garlic rosemary bread was very good- My friend got the Arancini, which she really enjoyed. It's an appetizer, but the portion sizes are very big and could basically be an entrée.- I order the rigatoni alla vodka and substituted the sausage for chicken. It came piping hot and was delicious. The portion size was also very generous.

Sooo want to gatekeep this place cause ITS SO GOOD and has the potential to blow up to be impossible to get a resy! Haha! This Italian food can give any downtown Italian joint a run for their money! Anything and everything your order will be on point. Oh that bread! The service is kind and quick, hole in the wall place with limited / no parking really, so plan for the same. They have decent number of tables for the small space. This used to be a food truck in South Austin, loving their DT location! A MUST visit!

Had this place bookmarked for ages and finally went. Sad I haven't tried this earlier! Perfect location downtown, walking distance from the capital building, and really most places downtown. Inside it's relatively casual. Not exactly a romantic vibe but some of the best Italian food in Austin for sure! Service was also great - our waitress Mariana was fantastic! As for the food - can't go wrong with anything. We got:Rigatoni w vodka sauce - comes with sausage too. This was my favorite, and I can't recommend it highly enough.Chicken Parmesan - we subbed the regular spaghetti with a side of fettuccine alfredo for no extra cost. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the sauce was substantial and tasty. I'm not typically a fan of Alfredo sauce but this was one I would happily have again.Meatballs - I expected 3 or so (cuz Austin...) but we got 5 and a lot of sauce. On top of that they were super good!Focaccia - it's free! I feel like places charge for this too often so it was a nice surprise. Also nice that it's some legit focaccia. They even provide a house made olive oil mix.Don't be like me and wait to try sapori. Go the next time you are craving Italian food or looking for a good meal downtown that won't break the bank.

I read great reviews, food portions looked good and the price was fair so we tried it and we will definitely be back! Jae was our server , super great attentive and knowledgeable of the menu! the ambiance is casual but here you truly come for the food , it's truly worth the drive from round rock tx! Was here in Austin for a conference and I found this place because of prior reviews. I called and was greeted by a very warm and kind voice. They were very busy however she was extremely accommodating. When I arrived, the atmosphere is very modern and casual filled with energy. I had the sausage and peppers in spaghetti. It was amazing. It had a spice that was not overwhelming, but I would call it a slow burn so by the time I ended, I had a little sweat on the top of my head, but it was not uncomfortable and it was delicious. I would highly recommend this place for anyone. The prices are very reasonable, the food is extremely flavorful, and the service is second to none.
